    Brandon, as someone who was in that small percentile of players who did not have time to play for long sessions and who explore a lot, I'm really glad you all worked on the save feature!

      I just got the game as of recently in the Steam Summer Sale and I'm totally glad the save system is in. I like to look around a lot (I'm one of those gamers who flip every stone to see if there's something useful) and just enjoy the general VR experience (just for reference, I played HL:A for like 2-3 hours before I even got my gun, just being amazed by all the details), even with the save spots I tend to see sessions as long as 1.5 - 2 hrs in between those. I'll probably spend lots of hours playing the awesomeness out of BONEWORKS until I'll be though it. I still wonder how anyone could just bust through the Streets in just 30 minutes - that's almost like doing a speedrun :D

    Cheers Brandon. This was my VR game of 2019 and some of my community understand and some are like WTF? And the WTF are the ones who want a clear story. I found it had a story but once you start the game there’s no real cutscenes that are user friendly and sorry based enough. That’s all the feedback I have for your game, and I think is has raised the bar for the better across the board for VR. Thank you so much 🙏

      To be fair, it does have a similar story situation as half life, it's just that they didn't expose a whole lot of it until later in the game

      having cutscenes would take away the experience though, that's why half life had no cutscenes because it wasn't needed to tell a good story
      (the only cutscenes are the videos really, but those appear like twice through the game)

    The texture resolution setting has been super helpful to run the game smoother! Especially since I'm using an eGPU with my laptop to play VR.

    Glad there is save now. That has been my only problem with the game for me. I am unable to do long playtime's and this was stopping me from playing alot. Now I can play again. Everything else has been great with the game for me and really enjoy it!

      @SharkTank vr uncomfortability, some people can do 6 hours without an issue and some can barely do 2, and the long states between when a game can be "progressed" was far between giving the sense that you have to do the last bit even if you are not feeling up for it. i think that's why a lot of people (including me) were held back

      @SharkTank I know I can't play these motionbased games for more than an hour without feeling ill. Beatsaber I can play for hours, but this and some other titles like Pavlov etc makes me get really nauseated

    I don’t normally ever comment on RUclips videos. But holy shit stress level zero. All video game companies should strive for this level of dedication and passion for their games. The fact that you saw player feedback, and went we really need to put new saves into the game (something I personally struggled with) and then let’s add some new stuff, and fix core mechanics of the game such as the hands? Incredible. So many other studios would seemingly just leave the game as is, maybe doing a bug fix every now and then. Genuinely impressed with the team at stress level zero right now. Good work boys

    The amount of love to this game is unfathomable, this is one of the best gaming company’s that exist now days. They puts love, care, and dedication into their games while still being open and willing to share their downfalls. And this is how I would describe stress level zero.

    I already had full confidence in Stress Level Zero as a team of game developers that were passionate for what they did, but this just goes to prove that you care so much about this game and the tech and people behind it, so thank you Brandon.
    And thanks for giving me the ability to stop headcrabs from spawning in arena mode so I don't scream and wake up my family at 12:00 AM again, that's very appreciated

    You guys have made the best VR game to date. That's something to be proud of! The save feature is great, thanks for that. It took me weeks just to beat streets because I had to keep starting over.

    I know this is probably a frequent request, but can you please add some sort of modding API or something to easily change assets and even add other assets easily? I believe that it would propel the community immensely by getting them involved and making it a platform in which both the studio and the players both build upon the game

    This is the first VR game I have played that I couldn't seem to get bored of. As someone who has collected nearly everything, I'm glad to see you are still adding new things to the game. Gives me another reason to fly around the levels again.... maybe I'll check out those void doors in the sewers ;)

    they should release this as a sdk so other people can create content with this. when i got to the end of the game i was just hungry for more. i really feel this is what vr games are missing, UT3 did it for the ps3/xbox360 generation where it allowed content creators to make awesome content and didnt have to spend so much time making mechanics.
    vr games currently are still just making the mechanics from scratch for everything and i feel boneworks has an excellent core that so much content could be built on.

    Really happy you're continuing support! Boneworks is absolutely ground breaking when it comes to VR. I played Boneworks, then played budget cuts 2. I made it 5 minutes before giving up. I'm sure it's a great game, and just needed me to be in a different mindset, but having to rely on the clunky, 3 step portal system (that felt good on the original Vive) just felt like being a quadriplegic after BW.

    Okay, 3 suggestions:
    1. More enemies and weapons, like a shotgun or enemy with a shotgun, these don't have to be in the story just spawnable
    2. Blunt and some sharp melee weapons don't really have a satisfying impact, they more glide across the enemy. Maybe make them get lodged in them or something.
    3. Maybe some sort of hazardous prop/explosive? Once again, doesn't have to be in the main game.

      I agree that sharp objects don't have a satisfying slashing impact and that needs to be fixed but _"make them get lodged in them or something"_ that's part is horrible advice.
      When stabbing, sharp objects get stuck in *everything* rendering them useless. If anything they should have less overall resistance but they should cut deeper while slashing.

      They were going to add shotguns... if you check the early boneworks trailers there is shotguns but they said it was difficult for them to create so they held it back

    I love how laid back you are. It seemed like speaking with a collegue about our updates and your approach is something that not all developers use.
    Boneworks quickly became one of my favourite games and SL0 one of my favourite studios thanks to this and you couldn't have done it better.

    Honestly the lack of save points had me not log into the game for a few weeks just because I didn't feel I could get through an entire level. I noticed them on my most recent play through without realizing it was part of an update, and my god what a difference it made. I got multiple sessions in over a few days and made more progress than prior. Great addition!

    Even though you flipped me off as one of the sad faces 😅 I really appreciate the saves. Between being very busy and using the oculus link that can sometimes be unstable having my progress wiped several times really killed my momentum in this game. Im so keen to jump back in!

      @KMSMista are you new to gaming? Early Access games that were cash grabs, Triple A games loaded with microtransactions, DLC purchases are the only way to extra content and fixes. These guys have videos of their development process and making small details perfect, sneak peaks, and most importantly this video where they state they heard fanbase complaints and want to make it right not just for those with a poor experience, but also those that enjoyed the game. Lot of companies just go for the complainers or just work more content. This is not the norm, even for indie companies, I know there are more out there like this, thougg. So the question is, are you kidding?

      I think Walking Dead and Blade and Sorcery get close enough at least.
      Don't sleep on Walking Dead, because it has so many systems that work right together to form a satisfying game loop.

    Hi, Brandon, I Loved the game, but i noticed there were no explosive barrels in BW,
    was it [not] done to keep physics calculations at playable level for VR or was there some other reason, like it wouldn't fit well with the story?

    Even after finishing the story mode several times , I just keep replaying, replaying and replaying and just having alot of fun messing around in Boneworks. This is greatly possible with the physics engine of BW. I can safely say this is the first singleplayer game on it's own I could replay for hours and hours long. It's always when I plan playing VR on certain days, I always remind myself to play Boneworks for atleast a hour for every VR session. Brandon, you're a genius!

    I LOVE BONEWORKS! I think it's one of, if not THE best VR game out right now. The only real problem i had with the game was that some of the levels were to long. I don't at all get sick from playing to much VR I just get very sweaty, very tired and just want to take of the VR headset, turn off the game (so my computer doesn't explode) , take a breather then go back to the game. And it sucked that sometimes i had to choose to 1. Turn off the game and have to play the whole level again (which would make me not want to play the rest of the game for a few days) OR 2. Chug through the rest of the level getting MORE sweaty and MORE tired (which would ALSO make me not want to play the rest of the game for a few days). But now this problem doesn't really exist anymore. Thank you Stress Level Zero and keep up the good work :)

    This was hands down one of the best VR games I have ever played. It was really amazing the freedom you gave to the player. The physics made this feel like half life VR, before half life VR was actually released. TBH I think your game has the potential to be better than the new half life due to valve not including climbing, which was a huge part of the reason why I liked your game. It combined elements from all sorts of different VR genres and put them into one title.

      they are focused right now on bug fixes and other smaller things, shotguns/new maps coming sometime in the future

      Shotguns weren't performing as they liked so they were postponed. We'll see them in the future.

      also, in the sandbox there is now a red dispenser (heavy ammo) you cant get it yet though

    This is a beautiful update. Everyone's getting things they wanted to see in it with a few extra goodies. This has been the only vr game I've been playing and I have yet to get bored of it and w this update it'll take even longer to put down. Great game, great work, and devs thank you all so v fucking much

    VR isn't an investment that's in the cards for me RN. But the minute I get a vr headset, I'm picking up Boneworks! I've been a fan of you guys forever; and Boneworks looks like an amazing game!

    There is so much potential here for this to become like the Garry's Mod of VR. The brawl mode is a great start, keep it going.

      @@NatMG You can't say that until you have tried it, its really good and works very well. With Garry's Mod VR you can play Half-Life 1 and 2 in VR

    I really loved Boneworks and I'm happy that the climbing is getting stability fixes because the parkour in the game was one of my favorite parts about it. I really wish we could get like, custom levels, I'd love to see some crazy action packed climbing challenges in the game.

    I love Boneworks! Thanks for the content additions. I dunno if its in the cards, but I'd love to see various types of grenades in game. Might make for some interesting puzzles as well, when paired with physics guns. :)

    Recently purchased a Quest for the Link and started this game.... I love it!!! I had an issue with the save thing but it only made me play longer till the next session... After finally getting out of the streets I kinda see what some are saying but it just caused me to play the stage over again and I don’t mind since I did it faster and more efficient... also noticed some cool things. One major thing I love about the game is the freedom of choice, I literally beat a puzzle just by climbing a structure... simply amazing.

    Brandon, this is hands down the best single player vr game ive played to date, you guys absolutely killed it with this launch. Blew all of my expectations out of the water. Keep up the hard work!( and take some vacation sheesh) and i cant want to see what else you guys come out with!

    Thank you for some kind of saving/save point update. As someone who is fairly new to VR, boneworks was honestly amazing but I simply had to stop because I could not play for long enough to make it between checkpoints without feeling incredibly nauseous. Look forward to hopping back into it and hope this is enough that I can actually take my time and enjoy it.

    Hey just want to say thank you for adding the quick saves. My Oculus Rift S has a problem of crashing every 20-30 mins, which meant i could only play games like beat saber or single player games with save points. I so wanted to play boneworks, but just couldn't. After adding save points to the game i have finally been able to complete it.

    Refreshing to see how you handle all the situations. Because you don't have a big publisher pushing you, there is room to make players happy. You don't see that very often today...

    Just like to say Thank you for this game, I had only recently purchased my VR headset and this was one of the first games I went into, and it was a great experience, The physics, story was quite cool, general gameplay was just amazingly fun to play, music is top notch - bloody amazing to run along with that music and MELONS! I can't wait for more content and games to come from you developers, keep up the great work!!! 10/10 game!
