    Great addition to any collection.
The Tables are Open enough to fit so many systems

D100 at the table could be overwhelming.
So instead consider using the tables in the book, to create bite size d6 tables for the session.
That way you got Something managable in your game notes and you dont need to book mark anything in Knave.

So I'd suggest a split , create a d6 from the d100s results that way you can potentially go "oh well x concept could be reworked later for y thing "

I am looking forward to this one. I enjoyed 1e and 2e is at the top of my list for next purchases.

One thing I liked about Knave 2e is how it handled hit points when leveling up, where you got to roll all the dice for your new level and compared it to the old one. If higher, that's your new hit points, if not just add one hit point to what your previously had. Kinda helps keep everyone's hit points relatively close to the average.

Recently got mine from the Kickstarter. Great stuff! I'm running OSE, but would love to try it out.

I really like Ben's ideas and have knicked several resources from Knave 1e. Very curious about this version - a big expansion. :)

Really cool. Small suggestion: The musak in the puppet introduction is honestly a little jarring. 1:06

This does look sorely tempting! It looks different enough from OSE to be curious. And a lot of the art looks very good.

It's really good. I'm knee deep in OSE and would still like to run Knave 2e. I'd highly recommend especially for total newbie gamers. The rules are both light enough for practically instant gameplay while also being deep enough to allow for lots of variation and fun. It's also compatible with OSE, so with maybe just a little adjustment you could break out any OSE/BX adventure.

I definitely think the pdf is worth the price on DTRPG. I don't believe I'll ever run a game of knave, so I don't want to add more weight to my shelves, already have plenty of books that I will put on ebay if I ever get back stateside

I thought the Maze Rats d6 by d6 tables were a little more approachable in use at the table than d100.
Edit: To clarify, by approachable, Maze Rats is only $5 and shows you how you can do this yourself easily. I think Knave 2 is too expensive for what it is.

I really do like those 6x6s as well! But the difference is 36 items versus 100. Again, I really like the 6x6s!

Try selecting 36 of your favorite entries from any one of the d100 tables and make your own d66 table.

Who the heck needs tables (indeed, many multiple) for color, taste, ingredients for a potion…a two second portion of any game despite its significance! Likewise many of the other tables folk have bizarrely extolled. Zzzzzz!
The ‘ancient’ Ready Ref Sheets or other free resources give anyone what they actually NEED. 🤷‍♂️🙄

@@AgranakStudios They were published in the mid to late ‘70s by Judges Guild. Tons of very useful tables. A lil messy. Not easy to find a good copy at a good price.
There is a pdf of it but the scan is not the best, sadly.

I…didn’t like it unfortunately. I backed it because I like questing beast. I never look at PDFs for things I back on kickstarter. I just patiently wait till it’s over. When this arrived in the mail I thought….”This…is it???”.
Yea, I know it’s rules lite! But, it’s so light it’s barely there for me personally.
