I'm definitely adopting the 6 watches per day traveling system to all my games, it works with my foraging tables. And there's definitely more here that will become part of my DM repertoire! Knave 2E rocks!

I will never play Knave and Maze Rats, they are too simple for me and my table, but it backed them both on the Kickstarter because they are JAM PACKED with great tables and interesting rules ideas to use in my other d20 games. I love Ben’s ingenuity. Great review!

Great review. I am very happy with my purchase of Knave. I would have liked an index of tables as I have found that finding them based on context is a little hit or miss. Similarly, after having played around with them for a while, some way (perhaps also in an index) of showing which tables reference other tables would be handy. I'll probably make the resource myself and post it to my blog at some point.
I think the system is great and is very lean without feeling like it can't handle specific situations that come up at the table.

@@DMTalesTTRPG fantasy world that's in the past decade hit their own industrial revolution , it's got cotton-gins and basic steam & coal power but nothing like crude oil or similar, they also haven't found enough gun powder to allow experimention past 15/16 century fire arms and Canon technology but it pops up here and there . The main focus I have right now is pretty much THE city for the area of both industry and influence (that's akin to a 1960s Detroit or late 1800s San Francisco )and it's surrounding area where my main focus . It's got a colonial element as this is like if there was a Canada sized continent between Europe, Africa and the Americas that didn't have any settlers on it until their version of the mayflower went there, at least that's what they believe as the surface is clear. Campaign I'm making is about the poltical intrigue and the reclaiming of the city after a massive cataclysm , it's probably something I'll run for my friends and maybe down the line make it it available .

Awesome tables, definitely will be using them as inspiration in my games regardless of the system!
System is not bad but I'm more looking towards games with class nowadays
I hope I will be able to GM some Lamentations of the Flame Princess (I might give access to alternative classes such as the ones from Sword & Wizardry Complete Revised or Hyperborea 3E) one shot or more fairly soon and those tables will be gold for improvisation

classless systems are always more interesting. if you're willing to try it and be creative.
class based system are more concerned about WHAT your character is. while classless systems are more about WHO your character is. your class based fighter can only progress in a predetermined way, there are options along the way but they have to follow that pattern, if your fighter wants to delve into magic they must level up and take a secondary class or subclass to achieve the goal of magic. mean while a classless system is about your character progressing their story, your fighter begins as a standard fighter but over the course of their adventure they may delve into magic and that can be achieved without a whole level up, and that classless character if they work hard enough they can possibly become just as good if not better with magic than a mage. their story and how it shapes WHO they are is more important.
