I loved watching "The Fugitive" when it was on and I remember well the night of the final episode. It was a national event and the whole country was tuned in to see what would become of Dr. Richard Kimble. Some actors are lucky to be joined with their 'role of a lifetime' and this was Janssen's. He conveyed just the right amount of tension with those subtle twitches around his eyes and mouth. He really looked like a man on the run and each week was another great story.
The show excels because of what the Harrison Ford movie simply does not have - the emotional interaction of the characters. Watch the eyes of Kimble and the two ladies he's involved with - they truly love each other and their hearts don't want to be broken.
Good observation; the later 'movie' had the luxury of better effects, etc, but I always thought the series was superior because of Janssen's acting. Also a 43 fan too of the King!
the best show in television history.

Yes, David Jansen was a far better actor than Harrison Ford will ever be.
Just a note on the two actresses. The first is Diana Hyland, the second is Barbara Barrie.
The Fugitive and Combat 62-67. 2 best dramas ever made.
Barbara Barrie is still with us. Diana Hyland died young as did David.
A VERY GOOD SHOW!
A gentleman on and off screen
Love the music in this series. They also added music from "Twilight Zone"
