Ladies and gentlemen, that was Young Dabo reacting to Nectar. At this point we know how Young Dabo would react, how he would say with a puffed chest and a brave smile but with a shaky voice that he will not cry and fools us in thinking he had never cry to any Joji song when in reality, we know him and how he will be reacting. His reaction to Nectar, heartbreak is an understatement as he has tasted the sweet blissful nectar of this album.
As explained by Motion In Art in his breakdown of Nectar, he explains that Ew sounds similar to the Vietnamese word yêu that when translated means, “I love you.” We all have this idea of what love is, but, there is a common idea of love that it will always end up hurting people as people are willing to risk everything they have or hurt other people for the sake of protecting their loved ones. For Young Dabo he is in a constant perpetual motion of pain as the moment he shed his first tear, his facade of this tough man breaks down, as no matter what we do crave love from someone we care about.
Dabo’s hate towards Doja Cat is relentless as he believes that Doja Cat is the cause for Joji’s sad boi vibes, when in reality that is not the case. Doja cat and Joji are not dating and let’s face it Joji is way out of Doja’s league. But back to the point, Dabo is placing his hate wrongfully due to some false rumors, but due to him believing that he is using her as a scapegoat for Joji's heartbreak, yet we tend to forget that we can experience heartbreak not from a romantic relationship but loss from a family member or friend. Experiencing certain traumatic events in life that leads to us to lose our humanity and question if people are able to feel remorse for others.
His reaction is raw and powerful, and although comedic it does show how human he really is. He is young and craves for love, but even his idea of love is skewerd. We all want some big booty latina but is it love or lust that we want with her? Personally I don’t really give a shit, but this ain’t about me. To end it off I just want to say that if a living breathing, loving human person invested their precious time, life, and infused their energy into yours it would seem the best possible thing to do to honor their gift would be to continue living and grow. If not then you were nothing more than an empty automaton and they wasted their time. Be and act like a living person dammit.
