    Thanks for posting. I used to live near the GCR, just a few miles west of Staverton and Flecknoe; always good to see something that wasn't destroyed. HS2 is nonsense, there was no good reason not to rebuild the GCR at a fraction of the present cost and bring real benefit to the rail network.

    Excellent video, loved the drone work too. I'm so pleased I called in last year to get some shots of the platforms, as I feel they may not be around for much longer.

    So I am assuming the land the station masters house has bought will become there new garden ?

      @exploring-our-history I'm not sure wot the 4 plots that where sold off and how big thay are but defo think of the first plot contains wots left of then platform to bridge. If its brought by the station master House it would also stop any idears or plans of rebuild of helmdon as I'm sure thay are Aware of the interest a few years ago to rebuild helmdone by a bunch of people this would make it private land and would be fenced off and no more access and don't know if you have even asked them wot there plans are?

      I could be completely wrong to but I do think it will be there back garden weather or not the platform stays is a different matter it looks like thay have uncovered it to see how damaged it is or how easy it is to remove
