Cylinder Ridge Reaming- with tool

In this video I am reaming my cylinder with an OEM Ridge Reamer that I purchased from Amazon.

Just an FYI, I am not a mechanic so forgive my terminology. I'm just a do it yourselfer finding a cheap and effective way to do things while sharing it with the world. This video is for demonstration purposes and anything you do is at your own risk.

Great video, the most informative that I have seen. My question is, why doesn't anyone ever worry about the carbon deposit at the bottom of the cylinder, isn't there a chance of the new rings hitting that as well?

@ Delta S1x- the primary reason in removing the carbon on the ridge is to be able to remove the pistons. Any other carbon in the cylinders can be removed while honing them out. Hope this helps answer your question.

Anyone watching this,if you don't need to use this tool but once then check to see if you can get it at your local autoparts store as a loaner. Put down the deposit(cost of tool) and get a refund when you take it back. If you used cash its instant. If you pay with card it will take a few days to see the refund in your account.
