I’m so happy I found your guys page a little over a year ago. Your videos bring me peace and get me and my daughter so excited for more outdoor adventures. Thank you for filming these!♥️
Hiking and backpacking in May with my friend out of South Lake and got as far as Long Lake. Yep, we only saw one other individual. An entire wilderness to ourselves. He tried to hike to Bishop Pass but it was really icy. I have also hiked from Sabrina to Moonlight Falls, Hungrypacker Lake. My favorite area is out of North Lake down to the San Joaquin River.
Enjoyed the magnificent nature with high quality footage. Thanks so much for taking the time to make these films and share your experiences.I really love your video composition and story.😁🐶
Those campsites with views are epic. Thanks for making such down-to-earth hiking route videos! If you haven't been to Minarets in the J.M. Wilderness, check it out. Dogs are allowed, too.
I know how time consuming is finding music for your videos so kudos to you for the musical variety in your art pieces ✨✌🏼 Also GREAT editing as always.
We follow your videos and this one popped out because we just covered a board game on our channel about hiking the John Muir trail! Being East Coasters we hadn’t heard of it, so to see this puts the game we just played in context. Awesome!
Awesome video! I just did the bishop pass trail 3 weeks ago and over 60 percent of the trail was under snow. It was so beautiful spending the night out there. Glad you two got the chance to backpack 🙌
Stunning views and great camping spot by Blue Lake with lovely sunset and full moon rising. Hazel seemed to enjoy it too. I dont know how you manage being away from your house for a month. I'd enjoy doing it, but dont think I could manage having lawn and house being cared for and bills getting paid on time. Guess it can be managed, but I've never tried it. I camp spring thru fall tho, with my Little Guy teardrop camper which I hitch up to my Honda-CRV. Usually for around a week or so. Very much enjoy that. Enjoyed your video!
We have permits for this trail in 3 weeks and hoping to get to Hungry Packer Lake. I was a bit nervous about the trail condition but glad to know that ya'll made it to Emerald Lake and hopefully some of the snow will melt in the next 3 weeks by the time we go!
We….love….Blue Lake. My wife and hiked and backpacked many times with many dogs and appreciate your trek with your pup… we’ve gone as early as June, and yes, that snow is no joke on those switch backs towards the end up to Blue! We hope to make another video of our own again… love yours! It makes me miss the Sabrina basin. I almost don’t like sharing it. 😂 Fishing is great up there when it’s not frozen!
What could you possibly be making that lil doggie carry?? 🤣🤣🤣 If I had a dog id definitely be getting them a back pack! PS the quality of the video is amazing!
I always wonder how you guys set white balance outside. Do you set it once, or do you change it as the sun changes position in the sky. It seems like white balance is what I struggle with the most. Maybe it's just a Sony thing lol
hey guys!☺️ i think where you were backpacking is apart of the j.m.t. so *lovely* to see you and hazel there.🥺 it’s actually slightly my dream to go to the sierras/j.m.t. i live in nor cal/the bay area. also this was such a *peaceful* vlog..❤️❤️❤️ - jamie:)
Great video, but then I only come here to see Hazel! :) She is so adorable! But then I am biased. Contact Warren at Cedar Ridge Outdoors, I had him make Gus a couple of quilts one Synth and one down. They work great and Gus stays nice a toasty warm all night.
Have my first backpacking trip of the season coming up in 2 weeks! Awesome video. Victoria, how did you like the 60 second bowl? Love from Bend, Oregon
Hey! Where are you backpacking?! The 60 second meal was okay... lol it could have been better if was hot. It's not meant for backpacking so just adding boiling water to it didn't really work😅 If you're willing to wash some dishes, I think it would be a pretty good meal! -V
I did the same hike couple years ago in August and I am shocked and sad to see lake Sabrina so so SO LOW …… this is so concerning 😢 Eastern Sierra mountain range is one my favorite ❤ places on Earth….. It so hard to see nature struggle to survive……
if you guys watch the camera shots where both of them are in the frame , you can see the video is not stationery, its moving and in random direction sometimes . it almost "feels" like there is a guy filming them ? again m not starting some sort of conspiracy , but its really creepy and i cudnt watch anymore because if this is an elaborate production with a cameraman , why not just make it apparent and have that third person style??? very strange
Thanks as always for watching! If you enjoyed it, a quick thumbs up and “subscribe” goes a long way. 🙏
Dog is so cute. Sceneries are amazing
ooo, frozen lakes. I want to go--on video I think it is my favorite place. The snow made the mountains so pretty. Thank you.
I’m so happy I found your guys page a little over a year ago. Your videos bring me peace and get me and my daughter so excited for more outdoor adventures. Thank you for filming these!♥️
That’s so great to hear! Thanks for commenting and following along :) have fun out there!
What a great couple! You guys have something special.
So inspiring! 🤩😍❤️
your videos are the best backpacking videos. I love watching them and daydreaming at work or at night while doing some art. Thanks 🙏
Awesome guys, very enjoyable 🤠
Looks like so much fun, especially with your fur baby, she is adorable 😊
She's the best🥰 We take her everywhere we go!

My wife, our pup, and I are now planning to do some van life because of y'all! You are THE BEST!
Get it!!!!
Another inspirational vid guys. Love seeing you both (and hazel) out enjoying the wilderness. 🖤
Thanks friends 🤗
Gorgeous!
Love your videos! Hazel is the cutest. Love her backpack, and how you can see her just out of frame collecting sticks while you guys set up the tent!
Hahaha I'm so glad you caught that because we were cracking up when we got home and saw that shot😂
-V
I love Hazel! And your videos!
such a bad ass van. ok now to finish the video.
Cheers to the way we like to live!

“Cheers to living life the way we want to live it.” Amen 🌲⛰💚
I was hoping someone would catch that. Glad it was you Austin! 🤙🏼
yalls storytelling is on a different level
Ha appreciate you saying that cause this one was less of a story in my opinion but thanks!
Amazing views 👍👍
I know how time consuming is finding music for your videos so kudos to you for the musical variety in your art pieces ✨✌🏼 Also GREAT editing as always.
Keep up the great work, Love from Italy✌🏼⛰️🇮🇹

Ha that’s amazing. Hiking the whole John Muir Trail is something we’d love to do at some point. Thanks for watching :)
Always enjoy the backpacking videos
There will be more 🏕 thanks for watching
This is awesome I'm happy to see you guys backpacking again it's my favorite thing to do
It’s great! Can’t wait for more this summer
Yeah for sure it helps with my anxiety and depression big time

Bishop pass is amazing!
Nice mood as always 😀

That’s amazing Judy. Glad to hear you’re at least getting out there :) I bet the tear drop is comfortable! And thank you for watching

We wanted to go to hungry packer too! Best of luck!

Such a beautiful little spot out there and so much more to explore!
@@codyandvictoria yes! There’s also hidden(not so anymore) water falls near Hungry Packer, I hear.
Looks beautiful out there! Can’t wait for more backpack trips this summer
Highly recommend John Muir man! You’ll love it.
Welp I’m ready for a backpacking trip now. And Hazel was hilarious when you put her backpack on 🤣
Haha. Totally frozen. She got used to it tho!
Hazel and my dog Piper are so much alike it's not even funny. 😆 another awesome video as usual!
Awesome vid, great color grading!
Thanks Wendy!
So good! And Hazel in her backpack- priceless. V is ripped- not sure what you mean about out of shape.
Haha. Muscles are in shape, lungs not so much 😂 appreciate you as always Scott
So. Ready. For. Backpacking. Season.
It’s here! Still a little snowy but no bugs 🐛
Thank you for the video. New Subscriber!!
Thanks for being here 🙏🏼
What could you possibly be making that lil doggie carry?? 🤣🤣🤣 If I had a dog id definitely be getting them a back pack!
PS the quality of the video is amazing!
Dog food 😝
Wonderful video... I hiked that trail last year in September. Also, if you ask the locals, you pronounce Lake "Sabrina" differently.
I always wonder how you guys set white balance outside. Do you set it once, or do you change it as the sun changes position in the sky. It seems like white balance is what I struggle with the most. Maybe it's just a Sony thing lol
More often than not just auto wb. Sometimes “sunny” if it’s not cooperating
Nice..what time of the year did you folks hike looked nice would like to try it good video 😊🤠
Nice, so cute how you put Hazel to work! She was part of the team. Carrying her food and other accessories?
Yeah Hazel carried most of her own things! She seemed to enjoy it after the initial shock 😅
You two are amazing
🙏🙏🙏
❤
Audio is so ✨crisp✨ 👌🏽
🎧
We need more hiking videos more often
This was beautifully shot. How many pounds of camera gear do you guys lug out there to make a video like this?
1 camera, 2 lenses and a tripod
What breed of dog is that? So cute 😊
Best wishes from Sweden
She's a Queensland heeler... as far as we know😅 Hazel's the best💕
-V
What are the new boots Victoria is rocking?
Hey! Impressed that you noticed! Their the new NXIS hiking boots by KEEN. They're amazing and I reeeaaalllly like them!
-V

We were! Now we’re trying to plan a way to do the whole thing 😊 thanks as always for watching
@@codyandvictoria omg! yes! you guys should do it!☺️you would have to find a baby sitter for hazel though cuz of the rules and bears etc.
Great video as always! What font did you use in the thumbnail, I love it!
❤❤
Awesome video. Who captures content when you guys are both in the frame? Tripod?
Yea
M not a fan of other stuff…this stuff makes me feel like bird and soothing
Great video - run into any mosquitos?
Not yet!
fresh video
Great video, but then I only come here to see Hazel! :) She is so adorable! But then I am biased. Contact Warren at Cedar Ridge Outdoors, I had him make Gus a couple of quilts one Synth and one down. They work great and Gus stays nice a toasty warm all night.
Can we please talk about how insanely crispy and yummy your colors are?!
Let’s talk about it 😝
I'm confused - when you're doing a two people (+dog) hike, who's filming at 6:50? The footage looks like filmed hanheld by a third one.
Hey, loved your video! I was wondering how you keep your dog warm at night when backpacking? Does she have her own sleeping bag?
She doesn’t have a bag yet but we will probably get one. For now we use our puffy jackets and if it’s really cold we have a heated vest
Have my first backpacking trip of the season coming up in 2 weeks! Awesome video. Victoria, how did you like the 60 second bowl? Love from Bend, Oregon

@@codyandvictoria by South Sister/ a few lakes nearby it but there is still A LOT of snow lol. Ah gotcha okay- I will try it out and see how it is! ☺️
Loved the video! Also, I was wondering if you need a permit to backpack there? Thanks!
Yes you do. Most places we’ve ever been you’ll need a permit. Easy to get online
was it easy to keep warm?
Yeah it wasn’t bad out there at all! Good sleeping bag goes a long way
Hi, Cody. Really enjoy your video. I am wondering where are you from?
We live in a little town in northern Nevada
@@codyandvictoria Awesome, it looks near the mountain. No wonder you have so many chance for nature exploration.
I did the same hike couple years ago in August and I am shocked and sad to see lake Sabrina so so SO LOW …… this is so concerning 😢
Eastern Sierra mountain range is one my favorite ❤ places on Earth….. It so hard to see nature struggle to survive……
It really is a shame isn’t it? Tahoe is low. Mono is low. They’re all low :(
did you need a permit to overnight camp?
Yes!
Salam satu hobi saya dari Indonesia, saya juga suka berkemah

I’m adding camera shake in post 😂😂😂
