People keep commenting that they didn’t know it was that easy to make cornstarch. It is not easy lol, maybe simple, sure, but it’s a lot of work and steps. Amazing. Thank you!
Thank you for making these amazing homemade easy recipes, I can't imagine at the age of 76 I have only just discovered these great and wonderful homemade easy recipes 😀 I only wish I knew all this years ago, or even as a child, would have helped my own mother with 9 of us just after the war 😀 Thank you please keep these amazing 👏 recipes rolling in 👍
If you are sun drying, use a black plate or something which has been safely painted black (like a black plastic plate). Black absorbs heat faster, so will speed up the drying process. Also on a black surface, it's easier to see to scrape up the corn starch.
WOW! Thanks for sharing this 🙏 Our grandparents made this using motar and pestle, and grinding stone, but we didn't know it was modern day cornstarch 😇
Omg!!! You're a genius!!! I never even knew you could make this at home! I wish you had a cookbook... I would buy the entire series because one will not be enough. These recipes are treasures and gems for the times ahead!!! We have to go back to basics! Thank you for using your time to show us your recipes. I truly appreciate it my friend!
This is genius thinking did not know it was so easy and free of any chemical you sure did some thinking and reminded us all we ever needed God created. go girl go on wish you blessings.
It's is so amazing to see so many things we can just try at home and are healthy as well!!! Buddy thanks a ton for every single video you share!! Keep doing it! Much love
@My Lockdown Rasoi Yeah!!! Certainly I will be doing it. I had tried some of your recipes and they have turned out so well. Thanks a ton bud!! I just ordered cornstarch this morning and then this evening I see this video and I have the ingredients. Next time I will not buy I will make this way. Thanks 👍
The recipe had to come from way back in time BEFORE our world was industrialized . I honestly don't think there isn't much that we can't make at home , we just have to learn how . So many recipes & other knowledge has been lost to time because they were not written down & because we are so industrialized . Not only do the majority of people live in a " food desert" but we all live in a "nutritional desert" because ofodern food processing methods . This is why so many people are going back to growing their own food as much as possible along with greedy corps raising prices on our food . Start writing your recipes down so the are not lost to time .
The sieved out sediment that was left to dry is actually used to make food here in Nigeria.... You add hot water or cook it in boiling water to make a pudding like custard. We call it pap/ogi/akamu/koko
Amazing....I am very fortunate to discover this channel, Your are so creative, ingenious, innovative and talented with a heart of gold. Thank You for Your generosity by sharing Your knowledge to use all natural materials which easy available in the kitchen. I will share these recipes with my nephew, who loves to cook and he can cook without having to spend alot of money to buy all the materials and ingredients. You have inspire many of the viewers . Again Thank You Madam. God Bless You and Your family. 🙏🌺🌺🌺
Wonderful this well explained. I watch one video I was thinking about what is white powder is made of I never thought it will be corn but here you are explained it from beginning to end .👏👏👏👏 you are a great teacher .
Dehydrator instead of dehumidifier? You are wonderful for sharing your recipes! We often think items we buy from a store are made from secret recipes and special equipment. Thanks for reminding us we can do a better job ourselves with your help.
Hi Maria, I am so delighted that you liked my recipe.. Thank You.. Must try.. Your comment will encourage others to give this recipe a go.. 😊 Please share this video with your friends too.. Best, My Lockdown Rasoi 😊
This is very good to know. It will be sent to friends and posted. Half the family thinks they're chefs, but the chefs in the family only smile :) this is cool! That residue in the grinder is bran. People pay a lot of money for bran these days.
If you have stored corn or you grow your own, now you won't need to worry about buying and storing the cornstarch separately. Just in case buying it may become impossible.
Sir all your videos are with common but unknown recipes. And you make it very easy to understand and easy to do all the recipes. Thanks a ton chef sir!!
That is seriously the coolest thing ever strangely I never realized corn starch was from actual corn ya feeling kinda stupid but hey just learnt a really cool survival trick thanks so much!!
Kia Ora from New Zealand, a very interesting video, did not know that is so easy and fun to do your own corn flour. Just want to know what you did with corn liquid after filtering?
Hi....amazing. so the corn kernels you are removing is from fresh sweet corn or dried one? Can this flour be stored at room temperature itself for months? So this flour can be used for baking cookies? Pls reply....superb preparation
My mom also used to make this earlier because she wasn't aware that it is available in the market. Great content!!

Yeah, I mean, this is useful if you can't find any at the store, but otherwise it seems cheaper to just buy it. It's not that expensive.
My mom is not ready to believe that you made it at home.. never knew it was this easy.. thank you soo much
You nhi I likho
This is exactly how we make pap in Nigeria just that we don't dry it, we prepare it with hot water. Thank you for the knowledge
Akamu😁😁😁
Can I use dry corn to make corn starch???
@@nagarathnasalagamerathnamu4765 yes...he uses dry corn in the video
But in pap making..the corn has to ferment...this one is fresh corn...I don't think the dry pap can be used for baking

Wowwwwww I didn't even imagine that we can make cornstarch at home
Me either..
Dido... didn't know either! Amazing video! Thanks 😊
all starch made this way.. cornstarch, potato starch, cassava starch.. etc
What's the use of the starch?
It can be used as a thinker for stews, gravy to replace flour, and for baking.
If you are sun drying, use a black plate or something which has been safely painted black (like a black plastic plate). Black absorbs heat faster, so will speed up the drying process. Also on a black surface, it's easier to see to scrape up the corn starch.

Do you dry out the corn or can you use it fresh immediately after harvest?

The fresh corn would not need soaking, just add water and blend.
