i was young metalhead when "Wasteland" came out. This album was like a story.. i loved to listen this album reading or doing school stuff, and honestly i did not fall for this style for any longer than high school, but still remember that album, i liked Demolition Man accent.
Killer!!! I've been a Venom fanatic since around 1982 when I was 10! I started into metal with KISS and Black Sabbath/Ozzy as a tiny kid, then I got a compilation with "Black Metal" on it at 10 and every since, I've been a record buying, concert attending maniac, fronting my own bands in Chicago like Witchcross, Nocturnal Doom, Shadowlord, Ravensthorn, and After Forever. I'm still a huge Venom but to this day that owns every album!!!
Antton lived round the corner from me. It took me years to realise who it actually was. He became one of my friends. We haven’t spoke in a long time tho
I think it'd be cool if both bands merged for a tribute show, 2 drummers, Mantas and Rage on guitar and Cronos and D-man can switch off with bass and vocals. Make a live CD/DVD/Blu.
they classically get a bad rep about being awful live. other than one performance that was recorded live, their performances are true to their records. yes noisy, but to me they've always know what they're doing. what is your opinion of their live performance, spot on? not good/not bad? awful?
@@LadyFairChildVideo I thought they were absolutely brilliant live. I was at the Hammersmith when they recorded "Alive in 85" and when I watched the video I was annoyed that they had edited the concert so much. After the concert, we went round back stage to meet them , and they stayed to talk to us(I was surprised how short Jeff was). I think they should do what Helloween have just done and tour with both vocalists & guitarists. It would really be worth seeing.
@@wightangel but was the musical fidelity correct, meaning the alive in 85 video they sound pretty tight. did they sound clear and tight (not perfect) in their live performances? people make it out to be that they just made alot of noise , and to me all the live footage of them speaks otherwise. there's only one show where it was mixed really bad or they were on drugs.
I like how "they" kept up that hard and driving sound throughout forty-three years and counting. That "satanism" is not to be taken for real. Cronos looks and sounds fantastic on stage together with Danty and La Rage. Keep up keeping up!
Venom is a unique band. They and only they play BLACK METAL ,they invented that style and no one can play like them.Cronos is Venom and Venom is Cronos.Mantas looks like a porno star from 70s with his mustache 😂😂😂.GreatBand GreatMetal .They are real hero of METAL.RESPECT 🤘🤘🤘🤘👹😁😁Im diehard fan since 83!AT WAAAAR WITHHH SATAAANNNN...EPIC man!
Until At War with Satan they are a milestone in METAL music evolution. Then it is mostly... going onward looking backward. I welcomed and liked Cast in Stone and Resurrection quit e a bit: innovative but Venom-like sound quality and original tunes. Something of the newest albums... but nothing that stays in my ears. Many modern bands have more originality.

Saw venom numerous times in the 80’s. Thought they were awesome, got back into them in the late 90’s and still think they’re the original and best.

I can't be the only one who thinks that Cronos looks kinda creepy. Great music and voice, though \m/
Just curious, what's the name of the video effect you use for the static? Like when they join and leave the band.
You should make it from 1979 to now because they have some 1979 pics
'Metal Black' is the Venom album I wished 'Black Metal' was in 1982.
Resurrection is actually a great album, hard to find and it's not on Spotify.
