    I made one of these last year, I had no plans just an idea but basically the same as yours except I painted it white, I cut a groove about 20mm wide and 8mm deep about 2/3rds the way up and inlayed another piece of wood which stood about 5mm proud. The inlay was painted in black. I know it was a very simple build but there were a few techniques that made it interesting and I must say that inlay really made it stand out (pun not intended). I think this video will give people a really good base to make one with their own twist on it. You could add chamfers, round overs, coloured accents etc. Gret vid pal. Hope the channels blooms

    Great job, and well explained. I was thinking of using a small hinge on the back instead of glue, it would be easier to transport/store.
