Thanks for your help. I used a lot of your tips and just accepted a job offer today. I was told by multiple hiring managers at my previous job I was bad at interviewing. I got compliments in real time on my interview responses. I no longer believe I’m bad at interviewing. Thanks🎉

im terrible at interviews, I feel like I am totally faking it, Im bad at the corporate game its like trying to get an A in an english class, you have to have the "secret word" canned response that they want to hear, its not about anything on your resume
You're not alone! Interviews are awkward. It's hard to talk about yourself to someone else. The best remedy for this is practice. The more you do it, the better you get. Even if it's role play with a colleague. You've got this.
I've had four interviews recently, and salary came up in three of them. They don't tell me what their budget amount is and when I try to defer the topic, they kept pushing me to name a price. I give them an amount that's lower than the national average and they still react like I'm asking for too much. 😢
Aww, that's such a bummer when that happens. You should always shoot for at least the national average (if not higher). If they're not willing to give you that, it's probably not the best company to work for.
