@@dillonbanks609 Well, just sayin every tweets I’ve seen. Most of these are android users whose making this more an issue than the apple users who are actually using it. Mine I purchased my iPhone 15 Pro 2 weeks ago and so far I haven’t experienced overheating. Maybe sometimes warm depends on the apps I’m using but fixed after updates (obviously since it releases a new OS, the iOS 17, so the app developers needs to update their apps to the newer iOS so it will be optimized and that fixes most of the problems. For the games, So, far again, I haven’t experienced any overheating issues. Playing mostly, Call of Duty
@andreresende9566 yes it does 60fps at max setting it's apple that can't because it's overheat all the time so apple makes the screen dim which makes playing games annoying and the huge camera bump makes it almost impossible trust me from experience it's why switched to the s23 ultra
Mine doesn’t overheat either. Played Genshin impact for about 10-15 minutes just to see if it was going to rise in temps and made a teams video call for over an hour zero overheating either time. Maybe a bad batch of iPhones got out into the wild.
The thing I noticed is that some games detect the backbone controller as an Xbox controller and shows Xbox buttons in the ui which kinda annoys me. Idk if this is the controller itself failing to identify as a playstation controller or it's the games and I hope they fix it with an update Overall great video!
When it heats up, does the brightness lower as well? Also, can you play games while plug in without the controls going all over the place? That’s my issue with my 12 pro max. Plugged in while playing. And then when it heats up, controls go all over the place and becomes laggy.
The heating issue is because of some apps like instagram and uber, but while you are gaming those apps not ruining your activity, since they are not running.
Because benchmark only tell you half of the story.. but in real world, every app use both the CPU and GPU side.. and Android CPU side is way weaker like Apple CPU side, if Apple only use 1-2W where Android need to use 2-3W for CPU, that also means on Android side the GPU can use -1W compared to Apple in overall, which is also generate lower GPU score if you lowering the power consumption (the built in better cooling in Androids only extend the duration before throttling, but it will also throttling a few mins later)
@@TamasKiss-yk4st leave benchmarks alone, even in real game tests the gpu sustains high peak performance and has better cooling chamber especially S23U to keep temperature cool
@@bluecranecomics Games are cpu bottleneck anyway... Not to mention that A17 pro still has ever so slightly faster gpu in raw power alone, difference becomes drastic if ypu use apple metal fx upscaling (like nvidia dlss) or ray tracing
@@lukabosnjak3829 as i already said, it's only postpone the throttling, but it will also throttling.. better cooling is definitly not a bad thing, but if you "only" can extend the 2-3mins to 8-10mins before it's also start to throttling, doesn't mean a lot in a 60-120mins long geming period.. especially if the throttling iPhone device still maintain nearly the same performane like your none throttling Android device..

@@bluecranecomics better in geekbench and antutu yeah I fell for that crap too.... both the phones have prob running high graphic games but 15pm is more capable and more consistent
S23 Ultra is an amazing device, but game developers are focusing on how to make their games well optimised for iPhone, because maybe Apple is paying them a lot.
We already know that Genshin Impact favors apple devices more. S23 Ultra doesnt overheat alot while playing codm and genshin impact either. It maxes out at 42 Celcius and keeps a stable 58-61 fps
Nintendo switch is a 6 years old device.. that performance even in emulator is a piece of sh*t currently (in the same year the Galaxy S8 had only less than 400 single core geekbench result, imagine the performance of the even cheaper device..)
@@techdroider Genshin Impact is a game originally developed using OpenGL, it does not use more CPU or GPU than a Nintendo Switch emulator, there is no more computation or more IO. Just see that mobile games heat up the iPhone 15 more than console games, the reason is that there was dedicated optimization work there. Now think with me, this is a test in a controlled environment. Someone take your iPhone outside and try playing these games. It is very likely that the iPhone will exceed 45 degrees and start to reduce so as not to heat up any more.
