I recently went from 10 percent to 100 percent after getting on a treadmill ( workload test ) and insisting on a cardiac catheterization. I did these two test in order to prove that I have ischemic heart disease related to agent orange. My symptoms were meaningless to the VA until I requested these two test from my cardiologist. Have had a fib since 88 spent 6 months at lejune exposed to toxins in 79-80 for 36 years in and out of emergency rooms cardioversions multiple ablations medications and the va gives me 10% rating for tinnitus? Have to go back for 2 more visits with clinics that va contracts with to establish service connection? Am i missing something here?
In 1980 my youngest son was born with a birth defect ( Hernia ) had to wait until 1984 before the Hospital would operate and fix it. The doctor who did the operation , tested the tissue and found out it was Agent Orange. When I was in Vietnam in 1966-67 I was at Dong Ha for awhile until I was transferred to a different Company and we had ACID RAIN on us quite a lot. In 2011 when I had C&P at the VA I had a CT scan done on my whole body. VA said I didn`t have it and denied the AO ,Denied the PTSD also. had to get a LEXIS paper before I got 50% for it , Now in May of this year I had an Heart Attack and went to hospital . Hospital did a CT scan and found out that I also had an AAA of almost 9 inch`s in dia. (that`s 23cm ), Sent me by Ambulance 300 miles south to Grand Rapids to have the specialist in that field take care of both problems. Had a stent put in my heart and sent home. Went back 6 weeks later and had 10 stents put in the AAA . Now I will go back in a couple to have the main valve put in my heart.
US Army Infantryman (11B) Veteran rated at 90% here. This is why I stay away from the VA. I went for a rating increase before and they dropped my rating down to 80%. Literally a Doctor met with me for 15 minutes and Boom they just reduced it. I had a 30% For Migraine Headaches that went from 30%-0% I ended up getting it back but the paranoia is enough to keep me away. I was blown up Iraq in 2008 and have TBI and PTSD. It was a Pressure Plate IED and I was in a Armored Personal Carrier. The Blast was soo strong the Barrel of my Squad Automatic Weapon that was sitting between my legs was bent sideways. I received an Injury to my Ankle and Face. Later I discovered I am suffering from TBI as the Blast Shockwave effects the Human Brain and isn't fully understood. The PTSD is from both of my Deployments. The Iraq Explosion Injured my Brother. It shattered both his legs and his back. I remember he was quiet, in complete shock. My Team Leader yelled at me to check him for injuries. He had no Blood, then it's like he woke up and he started screaming in agony. The stigma alone has kept me from getting Jobs, and people treat me like I am a Domesticated Lion. Sure Domesticated but they never truly trust me. I have severe PTSD and yet a Guy who spent his service in a chow hall, no deployments, is pulling a 100% because he has some Back Pain from a Sports Injury out of Highschool (Yes that's a real Person). I believe they need to do an Automatic System for any Service member who is awarded a Combat Decoration. They should be Automatically given 100% PTSD Rating. Because the actual Number of Veterans who experienced actual Combat is less than 5% of all Veterans. They are the last People that need to be messed around with in VA Rating. You been Blown Up, Shot At, Carried Dead Bodies, Seen your Friends Die, AUTOMATIC 100% NO QUESTIONS ASKED. It should be Automatically applied as soon as the Service Member exits the Service. I think that alone would help reduce Veteran Suicide tenfold. As they no longer have to worry if they obtain employment after leaving the service. The California veterans service officers do the same kind of interpretation for requirements for disabled lic plates so I have to wait until I get that 100% va rating to qualify for a disabled vet lic placard when the form says I only need a va connected disability and require assistance to walk. I tried to explain that to them - how it's written - and they just couldn't get on the same page.
I could really use the help . Just went through open heart surgery cabbage , right lung still problems going in on the 3rd to look at that and as asbestos issues . All i want is disability . I was a USN boiler technician 77-81 . We removed the asbestos
I had high blood pressure readings while in the military I’ve been out for years but since 2009 my doctor put me on blood pressure medicine and also one of my doctors wrote in my records that I have left atrial enlargement. I thought that my c&p went well but my results came back not service connected. I am currently at a 50 % rating.
Why does the VA mess with us like this? It isn't like I wanted to get messed up in the military. The Air Force gave me a medical retirement at 120%. The VA gave me 30% but doctors pushed for 100%. The VA then gave me 60% and now just took it down to 30% I have a TBI and Post Sepsis Syndrome which was originally thought to be SLE. I am positive for both. The VA says I am cured but since I had the rating for more than 20 yeas they can only reduce it. I am actually very sick and can barely move. A doctor (MD and PhD from an Ivy league school and a very prestigious medical school) said that I have SLE and seizures. The VA didn't like his opinion which clearly stated that "More likely than not." So, they have an different "doctor" who got her MD from Venezuela write a pathetic opinion which was the basis for reducing my rating to 30%. Why are they doing this?
Hi Travis, my hubby proved he was in Vietnam and MET's of 1-3. How do I obtain a copy of his C&P exam? I am SURE that doctor looked at ejection fraction AND paid NO attention to "JUST" the MET's he's been diagnosed with. His "Total Combined Disablity" was rated at "10%...that's rediculous. How can we get the C&P's doctors notes?
To Franklin go outside the va to a real dr get him to give you a copy of his results go to the American legion and get a rep to handle your Cass they will help u a lot they no the ends and out they work for u not va .DONT GIVE UP.

Taylor by law they have to give you his evaluation goto va to medical records they will give it to you.LAW.
