    Good stuff! My Issue is that I have usually have no trouble falling asleep. My issue is that I can't sleep through the night. I usually wake up after a few hours and the wheels start turning as I solve the world's problems. Square breathing, etc don't usually help. I usually do the exact stretches you demonstrated in the morning before getting out of bed and going for my 30 minute walk. Love your videos-great content and the concise length I am looking for!

      If you haven’t already, try the sleep positioning given at the end of the video for sleep apnea-some people have mild cases and don’t know they have it (until a doctor, or a menopausal woman who never sleeps, points it out.)

    Useful information on having better sleep. I have proven that a dark room does help you fall asleep quickly. I have a habit of drinking a glass of water before going to bed, I was told that it helps ward a heart attack for the night. It is true you have to wake for a bathroom break Thanks again

    • @nancycy9039
      @nancycy9039 8 месяцев назад +1

      I think that was an older tip, meant to prevent dehydration in the night. If we drink plenty of water during earlier hours, no need to worry. I finally accomplished drinking 10 glasses of 8 ounces before 8 PM and I feel better!

    09:31 *🛀 Taking a hot bath or shower before bed can trigger sleepiness by aiding the body's cooling-off process.*
    11:10 *🍝 Consuming a carbohydrate-rich meal later in the day may promote better sleep quality due to increased serotonin release.*
    11:35 *🕒 Follow the 321 Rule: no food 3 hours before bed, no fluids 2 hours before bed, and no screen time 1 hour before bed to improve sleep quality.*

    Having been a Night Owl & insomniac for many decades, here are the factors that do & do not work for me: "Sleep Hygiene" does not work, Taking 1 mg melatonin 90 minutes before bed helps. The 2 tips in the video that have helped are using a pillow wedge to support the Shoulders and restricting fluid intake - But simply restricting fluids hours before bedtime had no effect until I started taking my diuretic blood pressure Rx earlier!!!

    Another great video! I struggle with sleep and never thought about stretches! I will try them. I have a sleep mask and really love it but it is not great quality. The Mantas look top quality and I would probably get one but I have a strong aversion to websites that offer surveys to "assist" you via a survey but really are looking to harvest your email. For that reason alone I wont get a Manta on principal which is a shame as they really do look good but I will shop for a new one. Thanks again Will, you are a awesome. Love your book too, btw.
