True story: For my very last week at university my grandad let me drive his 1973 Ford Falcon GT to the campus. Back then it was completely black just like the one in Mad Max. I've never felt so cool in all my life. My grandad has since passed away and after having some issues with the will (he left it to my mum, who then gave it to me, and that pissed off his sons greatly) I got the car into my possession and I actually drive it a fair bit. It's gorgeous. I got it done up and it's a beautiful blue and black now, because my grandad always said he'd wished he'd gotten a blue one. I got a little boy on the way so he'll grow up in the backseat of it, very proud (as you can tell) lol
