  • Dancing at the Vatican is an inspirational documentary telling the story of a seemingly impossible journey made by families bound by the same devastating, genetically inherited disease, Huntington's. Leaving the poorest corners of Latin America for the first time, they make it to Rome; not just to a Papal audience, but other, unimaginable, surprises. The event became the biggest ever global gathering for this long-stigmatised disease, as generations of shame and stigma were shed, for a day.
The film is available with Spanish, Italian, French, Portuguese, German and English subtitles here: • Otros Idiomas / Other ...
Narrated by Emmy-award winning war reporter Charles Sabine, himself from an HD family. Together with leading neuroscientist Dr. Ignacio Muñoz-Sanjuan and geneticist Dr. Claudia Perandones, founders of Factor-H, a charity that helps HD sufferers in Latin America, and Dr. Elena Cattaneo, who was made Senator for Life in Italy for her work researching the disease; this impassioned group made history for the one remaining truly hidden disease on Earth, when Pope Francis became the first global leader to speak the words 'Huntington's disease' aloud. The film captures this pivotal moment of hope for Huntington's Disease families in a film that will lift spirits after the ravages of 2020; showing that if enough people who refuse to give in, come together, anything is possible.

Lost my mother to this on Mother’s Day 1982. Heartbreaking to watch your mother disintegrate to a wad of skin and bones. I truly broke my heart.💔

Dear One, in nothing but love I must ask you the most important question of your life.
The Million-Dollar Question: Will you go to Heaven when you die? Have you lied, stolen, used God's name in vain, or lusted (which Jesus said was adultery, Mt. 5:28)? If so, God sees you as a liar, thief, blasphemer and adulterer at heart.
If you die in your sins, you will end up in a terrible place called Hell. But there is good news!!! Though we broke God's Law, Jesus paid the fine by dying on the cross: "God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life" (Jn. 3:16).
Then Jesus rose from the dead and was seen by hundreds (It's no fairytale). He fulfilled all the prophecies of the promised Savior.
Please, today, repent (confess and turn away from sin, you will be free of guilt and shame) and put your faith in Jesus Christ as the only one who can save you from the judgement of God through His sacrifice on the cross. This is so urgent. You do not know when your last breath will be.
God will forgive you and grant you the gift of eternal life (Eph. 2:8,9). He will give you a new heart that desires what is pleasing to God and the Holy Spirit will live inside you as you are now a child of God.
Then to show your gratitude, read the bible daily (God speaks to you personally through the scriptures) and obey it, join a Christian church and be baptized.
I love you. I beg you. Do not delay.
"The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent and believe in The Gospel"
      Mark 1:15.

Why isn't this disease eradicated by now?

    • @wheatstonebridge
      @wheatstonebridge Год назад +3

Because selfish people are still having children. However not everyone is eelfish because they might not know they have it, but if theres a question they should get genetic testing.

@@wheatstonebridgewhat an unkind statement to make. Your comment devalues the life of a person that has the disease. You are in a sense saying that people that have the disease should never have been born. To eradicate the disease you are saying the solution is for them not to exist.
My family have Huntington’s. If my parents didn’t have me I wouldn’t have existed and if my grandparents didn’t have my mother then she would not exist.
How can we begin to solve these issues with belittling statements that seem to be caring but are actually devaluing the individual in the same breath. It doesn’t make sense. It’s like a contradiction.
I pray that you will have more thought in what you say in the future. I sincerely mean that. I mean jo harm with my message but just want to shed some light.

Shouldn’t people test and not have children at this point- as a matter of responsibility? Then adopt- or at least in vitro and check?
