I have an album of uncirculated examples of circulated coins and when I was buying them I would check out the price of buying the single coins or sets and whatever was cheaper was the way I went and quite often a set was cheaper, even when you don't need all the coins in the set. Consequently I have a collection of mint set coins now that weren't required for the album. I've been thinking about putting them into circulation just to give Noodlers something exciting to find
hEY THAT'S COOL, WILL YOU OR JUST THINKING. i CAN'T FIND ONE VIDEO ADDRESSING HOW TO BEGIN AUSSIE COIN COLLECTING ?? HOW TO BUY S/H COINS AND COIN SETS THAT ARE WORTH BUYING? I NEED TO KNOW HOW TO SUCCEED AND CREAT A GOOD COLLECTION AS CHEAPLY AS POSSIBLE ? sO WHAT DOES A COIN COLLECTOR DO, NEVER SPEND ANY CHANGE TILL IT'S BEEN CHECKED OVER. wHEN YOUR SHOPPING YOU WON'T HAVE TIME
The 2016 UNC 50th anniversary of decimal currency set also has very low mintage coins. I’d love to see a review of that set! Thanks PJ, your one of my first sources to information on australian currency 🤙🏼
thanx pj another informative vid. you have done a lot of homework for probably most of us here on your youtube channel and it is appreciated. being fairly new to coin collecting i would have not even thought about the coins in the set and their individual values. i guess over time that this kind of thinking hopefully comes as we get more wrapped up in this awesome hobby. i was wondering how much these mint sets increase in value over time. thanx again and have a good one.
Hey PJ, you should review the 2001 centenary of federation proof coin set, as I'd like to see the value rise. Every mint set you review goes nuts value wise within 24 hours. You are an influencer. Really enjoy your videos.
nice job PJ ... I'm loving your videos ... You don't know how much your videos, information and hunts are a valuable tool in calming down my 2 boys who have autism, (opposite ends of the spectrum) Just giving them a task such as putting coins in dates or searching for errors ... Query.. #(1) Where can one go to get coins looked at or sell to? ... #(2) Do collectors offer in home appraisals (i'd love someone to come over to look at my collection I have inherited (i'd even pay for the travel and time just to get the honest opinion, even supply a bottomless cup of barister coffee) ... #(3) How do we know that the collector/shop is reputable and honest? ... It is always in the back of the mind that the person you go to is just trying to undervalue the coins to gain a valuable coin ... #(4) is it worth uploading a picture of the coins/sets ... I apologise for commenting on this channel but I do not have Facebook. Thanks heaps and keep it up please!
Hi Jay, that's really cool and I am so pleased to hear about how the chanel has helped you boys. I'm not sure what state you are in but please drop me an email pjbest76@gmail.com and I will try to help.

Bought one last week!! I'm also waiting for an 86 set. Some low mintage in that set as well, including the 5 cent.
Nice, the Mint confirmed that they did release the 20c in 1985.
Thats true, however the mint claimed the coins back and melted them.
B RiCh At least not ALL of them, same with 1983-4. Though I think they didn't issue ANY 1983-4 20c.
Thanks for the info. Will be looking to get this set next. Cheers and be safe PJ.
No problem 👍
