It's been roughly a year since I've played fe2, and seeing the hardest maps I've beaten (Agitato 1.0, technological destruction extreme ver, Boltzone revamped ver), definitely shows how far this game has come. I remember back in the pre-Poisonous Chasm and pre-crazy days, shoot, taking it back even further, the days when Lava Mines was the first challenge map in the game, where maps like old shutdown and hyperspace were the hardest in the game (both I have beaten solo). Hey! Nice video I used to play fe2 a lot and knew a bunch of shortcuts and tricks, but once they patched one of the tricks (wallhops) also they added like 5000 new maps so I stopped playing. But I still don't understand the map community and I don't know how to enter or how to see those maps or whatever, could someone tell me how?
To access community maps, find the game called FE2 Community Maps (its in FE2's description on the Roblox website). Now you'll need to find a Map ID to load said map. Use the FE2 Wiki or the FE2 Discord Server to search for maps and then copy the map's ID (should be 6 or 7 letters long, a mix of letters, numbers and other characters). Then boot up FE2CM and load the map ID. To hear custom music in the map, load up a website called fe2.io on your browser, and input your Roblox username (NOT DISPLAY NAME). Make sure "FE2IO enabled" is turned on in the ingame settings. If you need any more help, just reply letting me know.

@@just_ducky It’s a bunch of little stuff. For example, the date timeline is poorly represented. The placement and arrangement makes it seem insignificant, almost like footer text. Also, improper nouns like lava and air are capitalized. The script is also written as if you’re speaking with your voice, which isn’t actually happening. That one part where you mentioned your editing mistake felt really awkward, too. I have more criticisms, but it’s just little stuff like this.
@@Astrojox_ I see. (big wall of text incoming) Yeah, I could've definitely done a better job with the date timeline. Now that I think about it, simply having each date fade into each other rather than "snap" would have been better, as it would have been easier to notice when the date is changing. I don't have the editing skills for a fully refined timeline like you would see in more "professional" content. I could definitely learn how to do that, but I also doubt I'll ever need to do it again. Your second criticism is just a habit of mine. I sporadically capitalise words like that just because they are a proper term in FE2. Capitalising something like "air" would be pointless in almost any other context, but because FE2 has a metre used for swimming, it makes sense in my brain. I do understand it is improper grammar, but habits are hard to break. I will try though. I will say though, I don't agree with the claim that it sounds like I'm speaking while using text, but that's just me. Looking back, I can see why the editing mistake felt awkward. Usually I'm pretty good at not falling into the classic trap of copying and pasting a text box and then not changing the text, but I sometimes do. If I do, I always try to actually "recycle" the text box into something purposeful so that its pretty seamless, but I couldn't in this specific scenario. Also, sorry for a massive essay responding to this, this is the first time a video of mine has been properly criticised in a constructive manner, so I just wanted to respond to it the best I can. But because I still have a video of me beating BM solo on the old version, I’ve compared the two and it seems like the old version was maybe a bit harder. Of course this may be biased because OG BM was my favorite map to come to the game ever. Other than Beanos.
@@cole0524 Alright. Although there are other things to consider, such as your skill improving between the two versions (especially if you're using footage of BM closer to its initial release).
People always say “oh no blue moon” or “blue mid ugh” but no one could change my mind that even if it’s old, it is a classic and it’s amazing.
Yeah, I really like Blue Moon. It isn't my favorite Crazy, but it does hold up very well.
@@FeastyOfThatBeastt 2019 is closer to FE2's release date than today though.
100% agree
Trough all of these years it just got boring for ppl
blue moon was actually added july 18th
My source for a lot of this info was the FE2 wiki so some of it might be a little inaccurate. Shouldn't be a massive problem though.
Why did highlights just stop getting added to the main game? End of the Line and Chaoz Japan both would definitely get in, and they're both pretty hard. Also Lighthouse, which has been in the game for a day, although it's not as hard as those two.
No idea. But I have a feeling Lighthouse is staying.
You can do one but combining fe2cm and tria please?
Nah, I'm not the right person for that. I don't know a lot about the evolution of FE2CM maps difficulty-wise, and certainly not TRIA. You can always ask a different RUclipsr and maybe they'll heed your suggestion. (I don't have an issue with it)
Even now with all the new permanent highlights, desert ruins is still the hardest among them all, and only got even harder with it’s final update, the only map with the same star rating is abandoned junkyard.
You could make an argument for Central Mass Array as well. Haven't properly tried to beat the new version of DR so I can't really say how much harder it is.
@@just_ducky central mass array is a 6.6 whilst desert ruins and abandoned junkyard are both a 6.7, plus (this is a personal thing) I’m attempting a jump from sub-zerosphere to central mass array and it’s going surprisingly well, only roadblock that really remains is the backwards truss jump near the start of the core’s explosion
@@HyperNova808 Good luck!
@@just_ducky thank you! 😊
Now make one about the difficulty progression in CM
it's always been crazy+ what is there even to talk abt 😭😭
Uhh... (this is a rough guess and NOT researched)
2017 - Did CM even exist back then?
2018/2019 - Hyperspace
2020 - No idea so I'll say the Real/Deadly Challenge (not sure which one is actually harder)
2021 - No idea either so I'll say Startup Failure Hell Version
2022 - No idea either so I'll stick with 2021
2023 - Rigor?
It could probably work as a video but I don't have the knowledge of FE2CM to make a video like that.
@@just_duckyjust checked and yes cm did exist in 2017 (sort of)
you can check by typing: FE2 map test before:2018
in the youtube search bar
@@m4yo_naka Nice.
Back in my day, Dark sci Facility used to be the hardest map.
But every time I say that, I get a "Sure, grandpa. Let's get you to bed".
Same. I joined FE2 in late 2018. Not quite O.G, but I was in the Dark-Sci era.
Come to think of the first crazy map, I never knew that blue moon released on my birthday 16th july
I actually thought it released in June, but the memory is probably fuzzy. I researched all of these dates on the FE2 wiki, so if anything is wrong by chance, blame whoever vandalized/messed up the wiki.
@@just_ducky Actually your information is correct. I just searched up some yt videos about "Fe2 first crazy map" and it showed me Boonmoon (A FE2 yt creator) He always makes videos of new maps after a day of its release. (He made the video on July 17th 2019).
When rustic jungle support happens, itll be a hell of a time (i beat regular rustic 6 times in 220 attempts, hopefully it does come out)
What do you mean by when? Has it been confirmed?
support? do you mean when it gets added to cm?
Oh I meant mirror support
@@ShroomiMyst Oh. I answered it as if it was CM support (it will most likely get mirror support eventually)
Wait crazy+ highlight confirmed?
And uhh i hope crazy adds rigor for the next april fools
Would unironically be fun
Fairly certain its been confirmed.
Also rigor jumpscare.
@@just_ducky I have played and beaten a few Crazy+ maps solo and honestly loved sub-zerosphere a lot so i hope it gets added as at least a highlight and possibly even an official map
@@avisashadow7646 Yeah, I want to see SZS and DR into the game as permanents at some point. Not now though, RJ was enough of a pain to beat.
@@just_ducky I agree, RJ is very annoying because of the inconsistent long jumps and fast pacing COMBINED
I just realised I appeared in the video lol 21:14, no wonder your name sounds familiar
I think I remember you.
Great Video! Btw Is Air diving still in the game?
Yes, but it was changed a few months ago to patch a glitch called Slide Glide. You cannot Air Dive if you are too close to a wall.
Edit: Thanks by the way :)
@@just_ducky Alright, thanks for letting me know!👍
Good video :) I've been in the game for more than a month and I almost passed 2 crazy with help obviously, I think I've improved but now I find out about the Crazy+ difficulty and I can't handle the other crazy lol.
@@just_ducky Thank you :)

i never realized blue moon was released all the way back in 2019, like i swear at that time i only saw insane difficulty
Time really goes fast huh
Yeah. I remember the old days with just Blue Moon as the only Crazy Map.
@@just_duckyI kinda miss that time period when it was blue moon and just poisonous chasm actually. Instead of retro mode they should add some sort of Time Machine where you can pick any year you want and it takes you to that version of the game.
@@quitstalkingmefreaks That would be cool. I personally never played the version FE2 Retro uses, so although a lot of it is similar to what I remember, there are things different/missing.
@@just_ducky Yeah that's true. Retro mode takes place in 2018. Personally, I think it should be 2019 instead
@@quitstalkingmefreaks Eh I can understand why, I also believe FEC's Retro mode does the same thing.
Early 2021: Escapee missions and Lost pages
Mid 2021: Group buttons event [removed Mid 2024]
Late 2022: Fog, Mirror, and Exploding Buttons [now Chaotic Buttons]
Early 2023: Exploding [Chaotic] buttons buff
Late 2024: Freaky Mode, Speed Up, Slow Down, and Tectonic Shift (ALL IN ONE WEEK)
Lol.
Sometimes the Group Buttons event can make all the buttons normal. Why???
Its in the name - its random. Each button has a 50% chance of being normal/grouped.
@@just_ducky it’s too common though
@@cat-lv4gj I very rarely see that.
wow i'm really impressed with this video tbh i would love to see this with fe2cm and as someone who has played the game for a while the difficulty barrier has increased pretty drastically and maybe it would be cool if you did this with tria.os too because the difficulty ceiling there is incredibly higher than fe2 anyway goodbye!
Thanks!
I don't really know FE2CM nearly as well (at least in the context of this video anyway). And I've never really played TRIA (or any FE2 fangame for that matter), so I won't be doing that. If you want to though, you can suggest this idea to another RUclipsr who perhaps has the knowledge to make a video on CM or a fangame.
Don’t tell me it took 12+ hours to beat rj I’m going on week 2(over 24 hours) and got to the sewage pipe thingy only once
There were people who beat it within 2 hours of it launching. I'm no where near the best of the best on that front, and many people have still yet to complete it.

I do in some ways.
Soon we will have Extreme
What?
@@just_ducky It's a joke, but 6.9 is referred to as "Extreme" by the community
what about a fe2cm version?
I'm not the right person to ask, I don't really know what maps would be considered the hardest throughout FE2CM's history.
Feel free to ask another creator, I'm happy for them to use this idea and apply it to CM.

Fair enough. When I revisited the game in August 2021, the map didn't look too much different to the version I was used to.

@@kingkongcreeper Yeah. Also I think its fair that I at the very least credit the creators appropriately. I've also started to mention the music as it appears in my videos.
The writing and editing really bothers me
How so?
@@just_ducky It’s a bunch of little stuff. For example, the date timeline is poorly represented. The placement and arrangement makes it seem insignificant, almost like footer text. Also, improper nouns like lava and air are capitalized. The script is also written as if you’re speaking with your voice, which isn’t actually happening. That one part where you mentioned your editing mistake felt really awkward, too. I have more criticisms, but it’s just little stuff like this.
@@Astrojox_ I see. (big wall of text incoming)
Yeah, I could've definitely done a better job with the date timeline.
I'm still happy with the video, but I can agree it isn't my best work. Thanks for all the feedback though :)
