They're looking so good! I don't need more projects, but you're inspiring me to do a stocking too...they look so festive and joyful! I also write down stitch numbers for each row to count in my head each repeat with stitch markers separating repeats. And I also do colorwork with just one hand :), you get fast at picking up the strand when needed. I always felt like my tension was wonky 2 handed too. With color dominance, the color you want to "pop" slightly more/be dominant you actually carry underneath. But as long as you're consistent it will look good which ever strand you carry dominant because your tension will be consistent. Also counterintuitive but in some motifs you might choose to have the background color be your 'dominant' color. If say you have a really dark motif with small spots of a light background color you might carry the background color dominant so those little stitches don't get lost and because the dark color will tend to stand out anyway. Something to experiment with and there's no wrong way to do it, just your preference!

You have great tips! Thank you! I'm glad that there aren't a ton of strict rules for colorwork, maybe that's why it works for me 😅

I've missed you! If you do find a good pattern for practicing two handed colour work please share! It's something I've done but Im wondering if there's any pointers for regulating tension. I find I'm tighter with my left hand when I do this technique. A practice project would be perfect to remedy that I'm sure!
Your stocking is beautiful and so are your socks!! Thank you for sharing🤗

Beautiful stocking! How did you do the name did you draw it out? Or have an alphabet?

Thanks!! I used graph paper and figured out what size each letter needed to be based on half the casted on stitches and the size of that mountain section... I looked up knitting alphabet charts to see what kind of font I wanted and adjusted for the space I was working in. Maybe I can show it in my next update when I cast on my next stocking!
