    Tara I am very new to Art Journaling, have been collecting items for collage, even bought a gel plate love that look, have all the materials to begin but wanted to see others work and your tips have been sooooo wise and informative , have written down each your 10 tips.....very simple but exactly what I needed to have a Starting place to begin....Thank you

      Once you know the "rules" you can go back and see why something might have not felt like it all went together exactly right!!! Just remember you can ALWAYS break the rules too...:)

    I never thought of light at the top etc.I specially like number 10...ypu do you.After a few years I have realised my thing is to put silly phrases from used large print books on most collages to tell a daft story.

    You totally can put your subject right in the middle. Just be aware that it's a) less visually pleasing and b) changes the tone and meaning of the objects in your picture.
