idk, I really liked it, it makes you build more and you get better prices, also the pylons are great. It's better than just building a giant wooden hotel in the same biome
@@rafaelperez1861 very true but I'm a type of person who wants to play and just build simplistic houses, but now that this happiness thing came out and pylons, I just want all of them since I have OCD and if I dont have every pylon I can't stop working on the npcs until I get all the pylons. Edit: I also overthink the happiness system way more than i should and its driving me crazy.
Each NPC should have their night activity animation. For example the painter would paint on the canvas (maybe 7 painting 1 for each day of the week), the nurse would be going over her medical kit, arms dealer would sit on the chair and clean gun barrels, ect.... Please make this happen :)

There should be sleeping animations for the NPC's if they have a bed in their set living space, I don't know why but those things are really cozy in my opinion, it's weird seeing the NPC's awake 24/7 doing the same thing over and over. Rip they diddnt do it :(

I really wish that when a town gets big enough, we would start having generic settler NPCs settle down or pass by our town that you could trade random items with. It would really add to that sense of communal existence in Terraria. A common enemy embodying the world itself. A symbol of helping those in need. It is a big unknown world with horrors lurking around every corner. Your town serving as a beacon of hospitality - a sanctuary in the middle of a vast wasteland dominated by otherworldly monstrosities. We know other communities exist somewhere out there seeing as we have the Traveling Merchant & both the normal Merchant & Angler mention other enclaves of society out there.

I've put over 500 hours into Terraria, easily making it my most played game, and I'm still not bored of it, because every time I pick it up again, it's 20% more game than the last, it's incredible. Okay so things that I noticed (including some observations noted in the comments): New plant in the pot next to the merchant. New pink moon (probably another moon texture). New NPC (the guy under the firefly bottle). Eye in the background. Like, actually IN THE BACKGROUND. New look for Fallen Stars. New variety of bug? (Those blue ones are NOT lightning bugs, they're the wrong shade of blue and there's no Hallow). Not to mention the obvious and fantastic new music. God, I'm excited for this. How long is it gonna be until we get this update? :P
They're just Lightning bugs, they only spawn in the Hallow biome so I guess there's hallow on the sides of the town. (Or the developers just put them there, you can place critters from your inventory)

Now the "You feel an evil presence watching you..." makes a lot more sense. So the The Eye Of Cthulhu was in fact always looking for us... roaming, searching.
OMG thats such a nice detail. Bc bosses are in theory somewhere in the world roaming. Untill it finds you and then u get the message u feel like ur being watched
0:38 prob late but i just wanted to say that it would be cool if they made it so that if a message appears when night hits for when a boss is coming, you see the boss in the backround example when "You feel a presence watching you" appears eoc will be seen in the backround
Seems like that’s exactly what they did. I was watching someone stream the new update recently and I got shook when I saw the EOC stalking them in the background.

--everything in background is smaller, so normal demon eye would be smaller than fireflies/lightning bugs in the foreground, so it's a bigger eye - like eoc--

Them making towns prevent enemy mob spawns is one of the best decisions they could have made ever

Seems like that’s exactly what they did. I was watching someone stream the new update recently and I got shook when I saw the EOC stalking them in the background.

--everything in background is smaller, so normal demon eye would be smaller than fireflies/lightning bugs in the foreground, so it's a bigger eye - like eoc--

I know im super late to the party but me and my friend thought it would be really cool if the boss messages did something in the game. Like the destroyer could rumble the ground or it starts to lightly snow when skeletron prime spawns. Idk I just think this would be really awesome.
