I had mine pure catless straight piped for two whole years! Absolute regrets with it when I took it on a road trip from Bend, OR to Boulder, CO and back in 3 days, my ears were ringing hard for 2 days after that trip😂 I have a Milltek resonated installed now, still decatted, sounds so much better but I can actually use the rev range now without every cop in town following me. Stock flex pipe rattle failure the entire time too, finally gonna get the Lucifer pipes by the end of winter, I held that off for faaaaaar too long
I remember just taking the resonators off my mk4 and it was one of the best days of my life. Kept it like that for a while and then got a Magnaflow catback.
love the R32 but i couldnt drive that MK5 in my neighborhood. But i do have a 2004 MK4 R32 with a non-reasonated cat back and find it just loud enough for the neighbors not to complain. R32 is the most fun i have ever had with a car the MK4 are a bit old school with manual gears and feel solid and not to mention after 20 years the paint and interior are excellent
What stage did you go for with United Motorsports? And do you have anything done under the hood? Currently have a mk5 r32 as well #1065, wanting to find more options out there to get the chewy sound 🤙🏼 props to your car 🙌🏼
very good friend I have an Audi A3 8p 3.2 V6 with the same engine as the Golf and I want it to sound the same Would it just have straight pipe? Because I imagine those backfires will also have electronics played?
I have a mk7 gti but really considering buying a R32 also after watching this video🫣🔥 man your car Sounds beautiful and looks lit.. hope you didn’t change the exhaust 😂😅😋
I sold the MKV, keep the mk7 as I have one as well if you look at my newer videos. The R32 belongs in a manual transmission, it’s very slow compared to a MK7
Genuine question.. i drive a stage 2 e85 Mk7 gti. I’m seriously considering selling it for a Mk5 r32. My only issue is feeling so much slower in the r32 compared to my gti. Will i really feel that much slower?? I’d turbo the r32 and then I’ll be faster than my gti haha but it won’t be for a while so I’ll be in a stock r32 with a um triple tune for a while. What are your thoughts?
If you follow my channel you’ll see that I have a fully built MK7. I sold the R32 due to the fact that it was all bark no bite. It was very slow, full throttle the thing struggled to keep up with V6 Camry’s, but the sound was unmatched. The best part about that car was the sound, I went through 5 different exhausts to get the perfect pitch and tone, watch my other videos. My recommendation is no, you should keep the MK7 for now. You’ll feel like you’re in a cheaper MK7 when you jump into a Mk5.
This thing is sick! I’ve watched this 4 times already lol I have a Mk4 GLI 1.8T and love it, but there just something about VR6 lol might have to get an R32 lol is it tuned?
this sound is legend. we will miss it when we are grand dads lol but what happend whith the left exthaust tip? he is sleepy.. give him some milk... nice r32 greets from austria/vienna
Mine was straight piped when I bought it...after terrorizing my quiet town for 6 months, I finally put a can on it. Sounded like a legion of coked out demons doing sound check before an Amon Amarth concert everytime I floored it...
ruined daily? i think not. Completely preference. My mk7 gti has been straight piped for 4 years, and i love it lol. No res, No cat, No mufflers. I think you should keep it like it is lol
This the only video I've watched all the way through for about a year lmao.
Haha thanks man, it was fun
You have a short attention span

Nothing beats the awesome music 🎶 from the VR6
Man the r32s sound sick

I’m gonna put the OEM catback on it this week 😂
Can u explain the stock flex pipe rattle failure? Im wondering if thats what im hearing in my car even after getting the flex pipes done
Put my stock back on after taking the car from Iowa to Colorado then California then Arizona and New Mexico and back😭
This is the best car ever made, still my all time favorite!
The shifts are amazing!
Looks around for a GTR: Where tf
Turns around and it's a Golf:

What brand downpipe is that and where can I get one to buy?
Bro what system exhaust have you installed wanna do the same to mine

Varex switchable resonator doooood
I hav mk6 what should i but to come close to that perfomer
Hey man! I’m thinking about doing something close to what you did, but I’m curious, Those shifts were so clean was it a manual or automatic?
I think all mk5 r32s are auto with a dsg.
That is DSG! GOLF 5 R32 manual exist too
only in the USA @@evanshireman5644 . Plenty of manual ones in the rest of the world.

Wonder why you don't have the darker cherry rear lights on the r32 like we do here.
Its loud but the noise is epic.
Sounds just like a R35 GTR damnnnn
Iam swapping this engine to 1970s Vw bettle ..Fkn metalic blue and black chromes,..far to that u turn it sounds crazy just like dodge Demon..
This video made me so happy 😂
elle est magnifique cette golf
Can we get more footage pls this is insane!
Haha yes I’ll film it one more time, I have an OEM catback I’m putting on this week
Awesome sound !! believe that no joke :)
what size piping did you run with the straight pipe?
2.5 inch
So hard to find a clean one on the market 😢
what number is this car? I'm wondering if its my old R32

@@ENGAGE_AUTO_GROUP didn't you feel sort of torque lose due to a decat?
In Africa we love loud cars ❤
did u make the catless downpipe or buy one?

Wheel specs ???

I like it verry nice
Without a muffler it seems to perform quite slower than there in your previous video with borla resonated
Yea these NA VR6’s need back pressure
@@ENGAGE_AUTO_GROUP Then how are you going to restore back pressure then?
@@tshwaraganopius1638 by putting in a resonated catback

@@tshwaraganopius1638bullshit an exhaust needs scavenging for power not back pressure
I want that exhaust for mine but I can’t find it. Mines a 2006 mk5
How do you guys make it sound like that I’m trying to make my mk5 sound like that
creo que tiene levas trabajadas, u otras, por el sonido en ralentí
I've been mistaken for an F12 Berlinetta and an r35 GT-R. Their faces when they realize it's a ~5,000lbs suv giving out the razzle dazzle
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Holy shit what are the chances y’all from Meriden 😂😂😂❤
That thing is slow 🐌 😂
Sound>speed = less tickets
that sound is awesome but it looks slow af 😅😂
Deutsche Ingenieurskunst✌️💙
Dsg or manual shift please ?
He said it’s Manuel transmission
DSG, all MK5 R32's are DSG except overseas
maual cant shift that fast buddy, thats dsg!!@@jamiebegic
I have a mk 7 golf R.. but lately I'm really looking to buy a mk 5 r32 alongside it. I wouldn't straight pipe, too offensive for neighbours 😂
MKV R32 was fun, for a little while. It got old fairly quickly, we sold them not that long ago. It’s more of a gimmick than an enjoyable car to drive
Get a spark cut tune
I love itt cant wait to get one for myself 😩
You’ll love it

It’s so fucking annoying though sometimes 😂😂
You can’t compare a gti with a vr6 motor tho,gti’s are not loud like vr6 tho 😂
All show, no go. Sounds awesome though
Slow ah
Too much noise not enough go.
