It is amazing
The spiritual successor to DEFCON
It is truly amazing
This game looks great, looking forward to playing it. That strike plan functionality is so damned cool.
Finally an remake of DEFCON.
Glad to see you start a new game. This one has potential.
Thanks by the way about the autumn festival heads up. I’m already sold on this game.
Such a strange game. The only winning move is not to play. Would you like to play a game of chess.
@Oswald Mosley Both games also reinforce the popular misconception that nukes only should be used on population centers. Nuclear war is far more complex than just "LOL NUKE THE CITIES LOL"
@Oswald Mosley Exactly, so why are we using warheads on civilian targets in these games? It's a senseless way of fighting a war.
@@Horible4 it get this is from 4 months ago but I will reply to this anyway. If the people are unhappy and actively being nuked they will rebel also taking out civilians means no one makes food , guns , tanks , ICBM’s , and reinforcements if there is no people the army collapses and you can’t expect the army to do that stuff because then who will fight it isn’t senseless a bit waste full yes but not senseless
@@Horible4 Actually targeting population centers is how it goes. I can't remember the name of the man who theorized it off the top of my head, but the way a nuclear war should go for maximum "efficiency" is;
If you launch the first strike, you target the enemies nuclear capability to reduce their second strike impact.
If you launch the second strike, you target the enemies military capacity so that when they invade you after their first strike you're better able to fight them off.
If you are the party that launched the first strike, and have now suffered the retaliatory strike, you nuke the enemy's population so that they have less civilians to mobilise in defence of their country for your upcoming invasion.
All strikes subsequent to these three waves are then meant to attack things like food and water production so as to create unrest and so reduce the efficiency of the land war that would follow.
@@jimmehjiimmeehh9748 No, it's not how it goes. Theories are theories for a reason. It is widely accepted among defense departments that strategic destruction of population centers doesn't work in warfare. And they're correct.
Stealth this game is amazing, plz continue with this game
So ICBM is an awful lot like DEFCON
That’s what I was thinking too.
It’s low key DEFCON 2
@@AccessDenied20078 I ain t complaining!
@Oswald Mosley true but it's not trying to be defcon just the same concept of nuclear war
Oh thank God someone mentioned it. It was on the tip of my tongue
Its more like a mixture of Defcon and Larry Bond Harpoon.
I would guess that in the beginning stages of the game, you'll want to do 75/25 towards research just to build up that gap and then slowly move towards 50/50 once the gap is clear (and where your own troops consistently outplay the enemies') at which point, once you've reached some real potent WMDs you could slide it towards construction only as you prepare for a full preemptive strike.
Defcom was a good concept, ICBM is a good game
Defcon 2.0 baby! Nice!
tnx for showing us the way how to play it. Nice looking game
So is this a successor to the game DEFCON?
Cant wait for the live action!
you can.t play the game, need to wait okt 7..... so cool game thanks stealth greatings from rotterdam
Ohh wow that will be awsome series
More ICBM please!
I was a Nuclear, Biological and Chemical Protective officer in the USAF for 20+ years. It takes ten times the fissile material for double the destructive power. Pretty much the law of diminishing returns. So..your one MT bomb is only double the 100KT bomb, as far as damage.
Risk, with nukes instead of cannons!!!
Keen for this game
I dont like the user interface in this game - in my opinion it should look more realistic, profesional (something like in Command: Modern operations)
(9:11) "This country is at war with you, and you, and you..."
Hey, I'm the new replacement.
This game is good, but there is no sense, winner is that who kill more people. And this horrible, if target was to destroy machines, missiles, this would be better.
Are there any built in cheat codes that you can use?
Any chance you can change the order of the play list? It looks like it is going newest to oldest.
I too would like this.
Do you think they will have custom maps (or planets, as it were) so that you can play with different landmasses rather than the same thing over and over? Maybe even stages of earth from the time all the land was in one super-continent and any time frame as it spread out to what it is today? At least that way, you can kind of maintain what areas would have been South America, Africa, East Asia, North America, etc. before and during the separation of all the continents and stuff. Also, if we could change or customize the layout of territory borders, that would be cool too.
Yes. There are already several different maps available
So you know defcon?
So what's the difference between nukes and megaton bombs? When should you use which? You sort of started to explain that, but didn't really hit on it :(
A megaton bomb is a nuke, much like a salmon is a fish.
In the game there are two key ways of delivering devastation by the means of nukes: missiles and bombs. Bombs get dropped from aircraft and missiles get launched from silos or mobile missile vehicles.
@@Stealth17Gaming Does the megaton nuke do a different type of damage or just more of the same damage as the smaller nuke, just delivered differently?
IIRC the smaller generic "Nuclear Bomb" nukes are "Tactical" nukes. They do no damage to cities AFAIK and are just there as a cheap way to target enemy installations like airbases, radar sites, silos, etc.
The Megaton bombs are "Strategic" nukes that actually damage cities.
@@bcordone The "tactical" nukes DO damage cities, just not enough to be practical in that role.
Shall we play a game?
To quote Sabaton: "PREPARE FOR NUCLEAR ATTACK!"
You are completely incorrect as to the blast power of nuclear weapons. It takes 10x the fissile power for double the damage. Your one MT weapons are only twice the blast of 100 KT weapons. Essentially, the law of diminishing returns.
Want to play a game?
I can't beat the game
Kiev is part of Europe LOLz
well it is
I think the game maker/developer don't pass the geography class. Indonesia isn't in the Pacific. Indonesia is in the Asia continental, South East region. So I think the game maker/developer must know that.
indonesia is right in between the pacific and the indian ocean, what are you on about mate?
@@Daisudori yeah, but the game not tell the wrong. Pacific is an ocean not a continental. The game divide it in continental. So I'm just straighting that Indonesia is on Asia continental.
@@Priyodarsono Maybe it has to do with game balancing, who knows. And don't forget, even though their names are continental, they are factions so don't go to hard on the devs
@@miamisoldier4478 yeah maybe...but I'm positioning my self what if I'm a game dev that make a historical game or game that related to the real world, maybe I'll receive the same critic comment if I make the game wrong like wrongly pronouncing a name, location or something that really exist.
Hopefully, someone makes a modded Cold War mode that's more realistic. It's really weird seeing Africa and South America launching full-scale nuclear attacks, and the middle east should be busy nuking itself not acting as a cohesive block. Also Asia should be much more complex having to deal with a rogue nation like North Korea next to a large power like China and allies South Korea, Japan, and Taiwan. Would make it much more volatile, but also super advantageous to a NATO player if Red allows a nuclear force to be built up there.
