Completely agree. He was incredible. And I really hope people didn't give him a hard time. As they said, it's normal for locals to explore the cave and the rainy season started earlier than usual. It wasn't anyone's fault.
I know hardly anyone will notice this comment but my close friend's Uncle was one of the British divers. Jason Mallinson is his name. He came to my scout group and gave us a talk about everything, it was brilliant. 👍👍
I just came across this story, yesterday night and I am wowed and really thankful for everyone who contributed to help them out and also happy they all survived
What made me happy was the support the coach had from the parents and everyone, rather than blaming him. He helped save the kids lives, and the kids would’ve probably gone to the cave without the coach anyway, thank god they were all saved ❤️
Oh we believe me we were so proud of a our divers for their bravery and courage along with everyone else who played a part in rescuing these lads people like that restore my faith in humanity
Asian countries has so rich cultural values. Going on knees to thank someone who saved their lives is such a heartwarming and overwhelming to watch. 😢😢
I just watched the documentary on Netflix and I have to commend the coach for being incredibly calm and composed for these children. You can clearly see what a top guy he is. And the rescue workers - just wow. What a special moment at the end of this interview. Incredible bravery displayed by both rescuers and the rescued.

the moment the kids saw the light from the divers in the water must of been like seeing the light of the maker or something you know it put the life back into them at that moment.
Why did the interviewer ask "how do you convince the boys that have never dived before to do this for the first time" when we know that they were sedated? Even Jason didn't address the issue that the boys were not conscious so they didn't have to deal with fear ~ also the last boy taken out, they asked "how did you feel when you knew you had a different mask?". He didn't know because he was unconscious when it was put on according to the video in the Disney Plus Documentary (which is excellent by the way, about 90 minutes long mostly from the perspective of the British Cave Divers that hauled the boys out sedated. Anyway, weird. . .but so impressed with what they did! AND so sorry to hear the one of the boys, Dom recently died at age 17 in February due to "head trauma", found in his dorm and they still haven't released an official cause of death. . .sad 😢
This story is such a good one since all but one survived. And u feel so much for them, sad to say but the world dident have the same feelings about the sub.
So sad that he survived an ordeal of many lifetimes and still no one can confirm how he actually died. . weird that it's so secretive and so sad to hear.

No one would have predicted that after being saved in such a dramatic way, one of them, Dom, would die so soon after. He was admitted to a Football Academy and was found unconscious in his bed. It has been decided that he took his life, as there was no evidence of a third party. I can't believe this is the end of the investigation. He was extremely happy and was doing really well. Just before he was found unresponsive, he said to his friend that he should get his autograph as he's going to be a famous footballer. He had plans for the future, huge plans. This completely doesn't make sense. Rest in peace dear Dom❤

The British divers took all the credit, when there were others who laid the lines for them to reach the children through the pitch dark muddy water. They succeeded because of a bunch of other divers who took the risk to lay the lines when they gave up. Watch the documentary -13 lost. Credit should have been given to the ones who laid the foundation for this rescue mission not just the British divers & the docs. I'm just saddened by how human nature can be so deceptive🙁
Both should get the credit. In my view the coach should get equal credit as well. Kids look upto him but who is he looking upto at that time. The reason British divers got the credit because they are not expert in this but volunteered for the work even though it's not their men and their place. See a guest who helps is given more importance and agree other gave their best but the one who makes the plan always gets the credit because at that time making brain work is really hard.
Don't worry, we south east Asians do really sit on floor even in formal occasions. I guess this is only a small studio so they dont have that much chairs.
You've got to give the coach a lot of credit for keeping the boys together and calm in such dire straits, such an uplifting historical moment.

The rescuers deserve so much more they did a great job helping without wanting anything back just saving these precious souls. A big clap to them
And they risked their own lives to do that they deserve every award they got.
Its so sweet when the boys went to hug the divers

I mean someone that plays a sport can end up being a hero outside of their sport
The divers are absolute heroes and role models. I would like to meet them sometime and thank them from the bottom of my heart.
Respect for them reliving that memory, can't imagine how terrifying it would be to be stuck there for days. They all seemed so calm too.
Watching the series on Netflix makes me really impressed about buddism. The power of meditation and being calm
their translator here was amazing too.
She really is, if you can understand Thai, the way she talked to the kids was just like the way she talked to her sons. She seems very kind and warm.
