Blad and MarkeyJester are truly some talented hackers. They truly pushed the Genesis to its limits with impressive graphics displays, especially Markey's Sonic 1: The Next Level!
The first game looks like it was made by Treasure.
Try a look at Sonic cybernetic colony, another hack by The Blad.
Well it's using sound effects and sprites from Gunstar Heroes, so you'd be right.
It also has the bosses life gauge from Batman and Robin. Actually it reminds me more of that game.
