Thank you for the video! It's hard to find repair videos on the 1st gen Kia Fortes. It's all 2014+ repair videos.

I am currently doing this but having trouble with the rubber gasket. Does it wrap around the thermostat? Or does the thermostat get put in, and then you put the gasket over it?
I have been attempting to install the thermostat with the rubber gasket attached and it keeps falling off when I try to install it.

Hello I have a 2017 Kia Forte S 2.0. Which coolant and coolant color should I use please? I am about to do my thermostat but can’t find much information on the coolant type. Thank you!

Get yourself some Valvoline Asian Green. It's meant for Hyundai / Kia cars

Put in original thermostat and do burp the coolant systym before doing all this check it’s Ee if the coolant is low? Because that could be the reason

@@RBTheMechanic when the original thermostat was changed it was thrown out due to being stuck open, new thermostat was put in, that was about 6 months ago, then last month, thermostat was changed again due to being stuck open again, new thermostat in, but now check engine light is on and off like it can't decide if thermostat is bad or not
