We always load the washing machine the night before & then start it as soon as we get up. It’s nice to start the day by accomplishing something 👍🏻

Ok, I noticed during that clean up, you put your stuff in a tray. It was a light bulb moment for me. It makes it look so much neater instead of a stack of my stuff on the end of the counter. Thank you.

Thank you fir sharing!!! You are doing such a great job! I really wish I would have had routine to my schedule!!!
We are all learning. I tried to teach my children to “shave time” … a play on save time. Meaning to reduce the amount of time a task would take by being Efficient. I am noticing when clearing your tabletop could gather all your items and set them on your island. Then walk around one time. .

I agree. less clutter in the home is so calming to me. Yes, I love folding towels :) for me it always seems like a easy laundry day. lol. Its so satisfying to check things off in your planner. I hope someday you are able to give us a home tour. I love your kitchen cabinets :D Great midday motivation to get things done.

Hi, I am a mom of four and finding it hard to stay on top but I will be trying out some of your ideas. I like the laundry tip. Even your hair clip gave me an idea on how to keep my hair out of my face, I was using a Bobby pin that kept getting out of place lol. And I also only leave a few toys available out for them to use and rotate but I might have to minimize the amount of toys they can use at a time even more. Thank you for sharing.

Along with your planning system, cleaning videos and a dose of Hoarders on Netflix lol I’ve been scaling down and decluttering and it feels good. You are so right about handling the clutter once and dealing with it right then otherwise you just create more piles. Looks like you have a place for everything and if it won’t fit in that space then you don’t have it out which is great. This was super motivating thanks for the work you do for filming!!

Okay, watching you won’t work for me. I am a maximalist where you are minimalistic. I crave visual abundance and it is a fine line between looking ‘full and lovely’ and looking cluttered. I do love the tray idea. I have a short basket that I might use. Even while tidying it makes it instantly look better. Even when all my kids were little I loved pretty things everywhere and they never messed with mama’s pretties. It equates to cozy for me even though others might see too busy. XOXO great job

How do you do the toy rotation? How many are out and what types?

      Hi Marietta,
I keep about 7 “toys” out in our main living/ playing space at a time for both our boys. One “toy” could be a shape sorter or a basket full of magnatiles. I don’t worry too much about which types of toys I put out just try to follow what my kids are interested in at the moment and sometimes throw in a couple that are meant to help develop certain skills. My toddler was really into puzzles for a while and we had several out each week. Now he is not into puzzles much and more into pretend play and vehicles so I have pretend food/ pots/pans and a basket of matchbox cars out. I hope that makes sense. I try to rotate every two weeks or so- sometimes more or less depending on interest and time spent at home. The 8th spot on the shelf always has books which I switch out as well. We do also have a few (2-3) toys out in our basement for when we go down there and they both have a few stuffed animals and books in their rooms. Hope that makes sense!
