    GREAT VIDEO!! What a GREAT Golly Whopper on that first fish but really all four were worth catching. I caught my first fish on a fly yesterday in the Ohio river and my fly was about 12 inches from my bait, Was wondering if you have experimented with lengths? Thanks for the video!!

    • @KayakCatfish
      @KayakCatfish  6 месяцев назад +3

      I tried running them farther away from the bait but I noticed the fly tended to get tangled in my sinker on the way down more frequently. The shorter the distance between the fly and the bait, the less often that seems to happen.

    • @KayakCatfish
      @KayakCatfish  6 месяцев назад

      The plastic on my kayak is thick so I’m able to secure my rod holder bases with bolts and washers. If it was thinner plastic, I would use a backing plate.

    2nd fish i think has had experience in the past with fishers catching and releaseing it 1 ......assumeing that the fish is intelegent to know from past experiences its dealing with a fisher they probly stop fighting to get it over with......if you watch him he was watching for when you was ready to remove the hook out of his mouth and opened up for you and the lack of fight as well makes me think he might have had past experiences
