The tournaments in Ky are ok but we want to stop the Pay lakes should not be able to buy fish over 10 lbs. It takes to long to grow a bigger fish. The big fish should have to be put back to reperduce Even commercial fishermen should have a maximum lbs on over a certain size. Thank you. I have watched your videos for years. Great Video!! Went fishing on the OHIO River Monday with my Kayak Catfish hat on and two buddies. I used cut bait and my buddies said i have watched too many of your videos, I caught 3 Flat Heads biggest 31 inches long while my buddies used live bait. Final talley i caught 7 fish and they caught none. I have learned ALOT from your videos so THANK YOU!!
Justin! You are the Catfish King! Amazing SUNrises brother! I'm pretty sure skipjack (Herring?) don't eat Shad or vice versa. IF they do, I've learned something new! They are both baitfish that you can catch with plastic green grubs and Sabiki rigs. And cast net. I use a live well or bait tank with an aerator and salt to keep them alive for catfish and striper.
Justin the pro! Creek mouths ... must be Autumn, my favorite time of year to fish, although these past few mornings dag gum cold. Creek mouths as in where the old creek ran into the old channel. I have not seen the numbers yet in shallower water, couple weeks out yet me thinks.

Using thinner wire hooks and rods with stiffer tips helps a lot. Ultimately, a lot of them will still not get hooked properly due to the way they eat a bait though.

Skipjack diet is almost exclusively threadfin shad. You must be confusing them with another fish.
