Keen to learn your long-term use review. These gizmos are all about 100% reliability. The Varia isn't perfect - mine failed but had done some hard work to be fair.
So far it’s OK. No false negatives (ie failed to detect a vehicle) but too many false positives - it’s “crying Wolf” too often and so likely to be ignored when it matters
@@alwaysanotheradventure Couldn't say for sure, but my Varia was very picky about where it was positioned (didn't like being near the mudguard funnily enough and, additionally, needed to be very firmly fixed - attached to the saddlebag was hopeless). I'm not at all technical so don't know what physics these devices use and whether sun/heat affects their operation.

@@Robutube1 weirdly it seems to be when the sun is at 90deg to it! I’m wondering if it’s getting reflections from my mudguard?
