After watching this a couple of times, I hit eBay, ordered some the bits and hey presto I managed to complete this in less than an hour. Great video! Thank you. 👏🏼👏🏼
This may sound mad but could you fit a full sized labrador in the back if you rear sear delete? Fill in the step down with more wood so it's all flat and obviously no bar, would you fit a dog in there without the rspca being called?
Yeah course you can, you can test the theory, take the base of the rear seats out then fold the upper parts down. This will then lay flat as if you’ve done a seat delete ;)
And again....another great video for us!! Thanks so much! I can't wait to get my delete and bar in and thanks to you, I know exactly how to do it...😀💯💯🤟🤟👏👏👏
Thank you brother for answering a question never asked about the bar... I think I want to make my own bar which is bolted in on both ends, but I am for sure going with Cloud9 Customs net, armrest, hmm what else?
Not on this one, you would need a bolt in one thats made specifically for that purpose. This is simply for looks and to hold a net, If you google audi tt mk1 harness bar you may get what your after
Its a personal preference, once you have fitted your bar just measure side to side and take off a couple inches each end and then give your self a little bit of length to tuck it where you want thanks for watching
nddychn ooo apologies it’s a standard Audi boot one. I’f you go on eBay and type in “audi boot net” and click used loads come up, They may be for different models, but they should fit the same
I a really enjoying this vid. Thank you I have made my ownnow, following most of these ideas. I used aluminum instead of wodd. Is it possible to know how the bottom part of the net was fixed? Thanks
That's brilliant, the net is held down by a strip of metal sewn into the bottom of the net which bolts to the floor, if you have made a metal floor you could quite easily put a couple of rivnuts in it to be able to secure something down
Id like to see a rear seat delete that incorporates a foldout or fold down mechanism, as those original fold down seat anchors are the best. A lot of time went into designing that whole rear part of the car. With the seats folded down its a great space. with the rear seat delete...not so much. Maybe one those 4x4 draws that can slide out to make the rear floor the same as the original seats folded down, and double as storage and floor strength. Ive ratchet snapped down gearboxes in the back of my mk1 TT. :)
@@RhysCOYG Thanks anyways, found one that should fit. I had a TT back in 2000 and last week I bought one again in very good original condition :) Memories :) Cheers

@@TheParrottBros so it won’t cause any structural issues if removed as I would like to buy a mk1 sport and put drum kit in the back as I did with my 225
Hello! I’ve been watching a fair amount of your videos, and just now subscribed. I got a question I hope you can help me with. In a few weeks, I’ll be buying a 2001 TT 180 Quattro and would like to tune it. Common advice is to just go with the 225 and start from there, but I’m buying the 180 from a family member at a very discounted price. I’m trying to tune the car to stage 1 or 2, and would love to get your advice on the best mods for hp per dollar. From what I’ve seen, the best option right off the bat is getting an ECU chip. Is this good thinking? I’ve seen APR and Unitronic pop up frequently. Which one would you recommend? After stage 1, what do I need for stage 2? I’ve heard a 3 inch down pipe would be good but 2.5in apparently does the job and is quieter. Would love to pick your brain for a bit to find out what you would do first to improve the driving experience and power of a TT if you just bought a 180 Quattro. Thanks so much man. Keep up the videos!!
I couldn’t agree more! I’ve seen them trade hands for hundreds of pounds on the rare occasion they are available. The cloude 9 option gives you a very close to oem option for a great price. Then the diy option which can be done 100 different ways caters to those on a budget or who like to fettle Thanks for watching
@@rowanliggett It would be worth notifying them of any changes that are not manufacturer standard things like a replacement panel filter element that kind of stuff, the likely it is they probably won’t charge you any additional but it is worth noting yes
@@TheParrottBros Hahaha. Man after my own heart! Lets get something in the diary .. I just need to get one of these 4 TT's working and on the channel first lol
Thinking about doing this to my little beast, let’s face it those rear seats are pointless. What you want in its place is the top of a fake V10 engine 😂
I don't like this version. It's just poorly fittet on the plastic cap things, I'd prefer a more stable one like the bws tt ones. These one even stabilize the car.
I get where your coming from, not even the original Quattro sport net bar offers any structure. It’s held on by grub screws and is simply to hold the net up. For structure a bolt in bar is about the only way to add anything, it’s not needed as has the lower support under the rear seats. I tried to provide a way that Is both easy for anyone with limited resource and easily sourced items. The bar is secure won’t go anywhere.
Not even from the U.K and this guy is more helpful than any youtuber I can find

Yes, its not structural soley for aesthetics
