I like that label/grade is on bottom/back, as I always feel that a psa/others kind of pull your attention away from the card and onto the label+grade, with this slab it seems more about the card than the grade.
I think they have the best slab presentation. I love how they make it look like a premium plaque or certificate of some kind. And the card being above the label looks so much nicer. Their attention to detail on the label is top tier imo. Is a bummer they don't take centering into account, but still the slab is awesome
I’ve been eyeing ARS for quite a while, considering how awesome their slabs look along with being located in asia, where I am. I feel that on the centring part, it’ll be good to grade cards that are only slightly and not super obviously OC.
I’m curious bro, what is ppl in Japanese thoughts on ars and in general on Cgc and bgs compared to Psa? Is Psa very much still king or is there interest in others
I like the way the slabs look! However, the fact that ARS does not take centering into account when condition checking will limit its success in the West, imo. We are already conditioned to look at centering. I find subconsciously that's the first thing I do when I see a card.
For sure, I have a hard time imagining that OC 10s would do very well outside of Japan. At the same time, if there is a niche to fill, then there is an opportunity. I'm sure there are some people who'd enjoy owning a couple ARS slabs outside of Japan. But that's about ARS in general, not the centering thing.... I'd also assume that even in Japan, if you had two of the same card in the same grade, but one was OC, the other would sell for more. Some people's distrust in PSA slabs here might be a reason to grade with ARS for like very expensive cards.
@@Dark_ibex yea I think they will do well in Japan. Also, like you said, they could fill a niche, especially since people can’t grade with ARS without a middle man.
I kinda agree with you here I bought my first slab two weeks ago (it was an ars slab) (also that ex card btw) and as long as i find the best quality copy of the card in that slab that's ok with mr

Very true!
I really wish I could submit to them. Really like the slab and their labels! Sadly I don't live in Japan
Who knows, maybe one day they'll accept international submissions. You never know!

It's a very nice slab for sure. And yeah, I don't know how I feel about the centering thing either. Thanks for watching and commenting!
I'm 100% interested in getting my cards graded by ARS. Me being in the USA is a problem though.
ARS is my top choice. Their slab quality and overall look is very professional. You can tell they put a lot of thought into it unlike PSA or CGC.
Great slab for sure! But always very niche outside Japan.

Good points; cards that are borderline might be better off sent to ARS.
when will be able to grade with ARS?
I think anyone who is aware of and is already buying grading ARS is ahead of the wave. They are going to blow up
I’m curious bro, what is ppl in Japanese thoughts on ars and in general on Cgc and bgs compared to Psa? Is Psa very much still king or is there interest in others
ARS is pretty popular. You'll see CGC and BGS cards here and there, but there isn't much of a market for them.
Where did you buy this? I would also like to buy a slab like this to see/feel it.
Thanks for watching! Bought it on mercari Japan.
so how does one who does not live in japan, have their japanese cards graded with ARS?
I would also like to find this out lol
Very cool slabs but the eBay premium sellers are charging for just basic cards is RIDICULOUS!!!
