Can you do a video about eye lids hollowing out as we age and different ways to treat it? I would love if there was something like a reverse blepharoplasty/fat transfer type or less invasive.
I didn’t know that the fat pads don’t increase in volume. Very interesting. I’m going to be getting a blepharoplasty in October and will ask if my fat pad will be removed….I don’t like the hollow look.
Does placement of surgical line affect symmetry in final outcome? I recently had upper eyelid surgery and the surgical line on my left eye is quite a bit higher than the crease when compared to my right eye (the surgeon never measured my eyelids). I am 2 mths post op and the symmetry is off. When I phone the clinic to share my concerns, the nurses tell me my left eye is still swelled up.
Dr. Joel whats the longest results you can get from the erbium laser if the person takes care of there skin and always applies sunscreen and rarely goes out into the sun? For example 5 years?
Yes. There should be no issues here because eyelid blepharoplasty is done on the outer skin of the eyelid and no where near the eye where a glaucoma tube shunt is located.
I had 2 times Bell’s palsy do you think is it okey to have upper eyelid surgery and petosis sagging Deos it have any risk since I can not move my eye brow on the right

If your surgeon intends to remove a bulging fat pad they should be conservative otherwise you may exchange a bulge for a hollowed out lower eyelid

If you have a facial muscle weakness this places you at greater risk for corneal exposure so proceed with cation
I've had bags under my eye since l was 18yrs old what could have caused that at such a young age.The older l get the worse they look.
