At our Bible Summer Camp: Mammoth we tested the Jekyll 29 3 along with five other long-travel 29ers. Find all the reviews here: bikem.co/summercampmammoth
I test rode the Jekyll 29 and the new habit 29 and I can't really say anything for the Jekyll 29 3 but the 2 is pretty sick. It's one of those bikes that can do a lot. It's sort of a jack of all master of none sort of bikes. It is really good at climbing and really good at descending, and pedals really well. For the really steep stuff I just can't say much about it since there isn't much in my area to ride. Also that Fox dpx2 really seems like it would make a big difference over the one these guys reviewed. I totally agreed with them on that. As for the habit I found it better on the flats compared to the Jekyll but not near as stable in the corners, descending, and just in general. I'm getting a new bike soon and I'm a cannondale guy plus I love a bike that has a big envelope in terms of it's versatility. That being said the Jekyll 29 is probably what I will end up with.
Totally agree with everything here. I just demoed one and I was shocked by the high bottom bracket and low stack height. Pogo stick was a good description.
Man I didn't get a pogo stick feel out of it. I do agree with them that it may leave more to be desired on the really steep stuff but as a long travel sort of trail bike I think it's awesome. I think calling it an Enduro bike may be a stretch but for a super aggressive trail bike I think it fits the bill.
When I saw the release of this bike it just seemed like not much thought went into it. The 27.5 was so good. This just looks like they made some room to slap 29” wheels on it. And shorter reach??!! 👎🏻
Beware: Read Cannondale’s fine print in their Limited Warranty Policy. They may use it against you for their best interest. My $5000.000 carbon fiber frame Jekyll broke after only six years of use. Cannondale never made a finding that it was due to use or abuse. A hairline crack formed at a weak point in the frame. The bike was sold to me with a lifetime warranty on the frame. The best offer Cannondale gave me, under their lifetime warranty, was 20% off of retail - yes, that is right 20% off of retail. I fought them on it over a two month period and lost. So, I am now stuck with a 34lb paperweight. Cannondale has what I feel is the worse warranty in the bike business. If you do purchase a Cannondale bike and something goes wrong, know that they probably will not work with you at any level in your best interest. In my opinion, they do do not value you as a customer, they only value your money. This has been my experience.

You all should review the new habit 2019. Thanks in advance!
Cannondale can’t seem to get the details right
