The Japanese people are very humble people. I lived in Hawaii all my life but move to Ohio for better life and cost of living. The Japanese are also very clean people. But do not like China and i understand why too.
thank you very much for showing how the japanese eat scallops and process them. also for converting the words to english. Here on the west coast ( pacific ) we also get scallops but not near as many as to trawl for them. your cleaning of them looks much better than what we think of when the country of origin is china of course, I wish we could find your local products here in the states. when I was in the navy we spent much time in japan and was always impressed with the seafood selection. good luck. scott, ( oregon USA)
It's 9:15 pm, here in central Pa. USA. And now I want some scallops and a beer. I have scallops in the freezer and beer in the fridge, but I just ate supper. My mouth says yes, but my stomach says no. But tomorrow...... Great video.....so informative. Thank you.
I had to check myself but the opening song is called "Das Panzerlied" or "The Tank Song" a song first sung by the Wehrmacht back from WWII. I definitly didn't expect to hear that song again, expecially in a video about catching scallops. To all concerned it is not exclusively a "Nazi" song as several countries around the world still utilize it to this day in their militaries even in the US Military and used movies and video games. Intersting bit of history for those interested.
What a perfected process. i envy the fishermans breakfast. please explain, maybe with a short video, as to what happens to the waste products. what happens to the shells? And the rest of the scallops? Im sure you have a sustainable solution for this. please show us. thank you Sir.
Shells are crushed and processed into fertilizer All scallops are processed and delivered to homes This text may not be correct because it is being translated from Japanese.
What an arrogant prick. Where do get to judge ppl on how they make a living and feed their country? I suppose the practices of your country are beyond reproach. What’s exploitative about it? Or are you just talking out your ass? I guess you think they’re over fishing while ignoring the hatcheries to maintain a sustainable economy. Much of the aquaculture practices used in the American scallop farms came from Japan. Breeding and hatching scallop fry to be released back into the wild. The difference being is that the USA uses free floating column nets so they don’t have to dredge. The sea floor isn’t conducive to it.
Yeah I saw a starfish get destroyed as soon as they started dragging the sea floor. God will bring to ruin those ruining the earth. Revelation 11:18 But the nations became wrathful, and your own wrath came, and the appointed time came for the dead to be judged and to rewarda your slaves the prophetsb and the holy ones and those fearing your name, the small and the great, and to bring to ruin those ruining* the earth.”
@@semperfiblackjack6062 You watched the nets come in and emptied on the deck. There was almost zero bicatch. The only thing they caught was scallops. As long as you don’t over fish these scallop beds and give them time to replenish this seems very sustainable.

Prob not for long! with their lack luster laws and such regarding the ocean. 10 years be looking back on this vid and really be like, wow, there were that many scallops in the ocean?
@UndrGrndUnDotCom ikr, it's crazy. I'd like to own a scallop farm that produces like a thousand scallops a year after they over fish. Anyway, you're exactly right. But thank god other countries have the sense to protect things. In N. America theres laws so they don't get over farmed. I live in Boston. Known has one of the biggest fishing cities in the world. They are so strict here. You have to throw things back in the ocean if they do not fit the catching criteria. Like lobster fishing. They have to be a certain size and can't be eligible to breed, etc. Huge fines and penalties, possibly jail time if you're caught doing it.

Excellent, its good to see how they are fished and processed, not to mention the cooking of them, it looks delishious, 10 stars for you ❤
After the recent 2 events of dead fish, who's going to buy the scallops after harvesting?

i am not a nonveg but seriously the cleanliness of the process tempted me to pick up one right away. So neat and Hygenic way of processing sea food.
That was awesome I enjoyed that video. That scallop cleaner was so fast what a legend 😂. Didn't realise the commercial side was so full on.

Would not this type of fishing destroy the seabed and coral? Or do they have a specific area to fish?

Thank you for sharing this video showing awesome video. The cury and panko scallops was beautiful. Have a gread day.
Pretty amazing how well the process worked
People say about fishing:
Japan: "What an art!"
My country: "Exploitation!"

Not a lot of comments about the potential Seafloor and reef damage from dragging large metal rakes across the bottom.
i think they specifically choose locations where the impact of the 'rake' is, minimal plus not sure they have a lot of reefs in that area
珊瑚は南の海に生息をしており、北の北海道には有りません。

It’s pretty wild how destructive this fishing technique appears.
Is it not harmful to the seabed? The sea bottom is being plowed.

ホタテの二番炊も👍
Great music, nice scallop haul!!!😊

Are you sure they are clean from radiation?
...whoever invented that fishing net for scallops deserves a five-star medal...genius...
Dredge fishing can be very harmful to other animals or corals on the bottom of the ocean. It’s been outlawed by many countries.
What is done with the sack around the scallop?
...vidéo excellente. Plats absolument délicieux. Je vais les cuisiner comme ça....
Yes, what happens to your bi catch, shells at factory, etc..?
How many micro plastics are in your scallops..?
No micro plastic in Japanese waters have you seen the amount of inspections the do
