Hi Dee, I am so glad that you are showing the other side of Jamaica in this blog. Many are quick to tell you about the dark side of the country but nothing of it’s beauty-kind of what they’re doing to Africa. I live here in American, and I can tell you there are places here that look like a shanty town! Thank you.
Absolutely. I’ve been to every state and there’re too many shantytown looking neighborhoods. Plus, the ones that don’t look like shantytowns, the construction of the homes are of %99 flimsy looking pieces of boards, covered with Sheetrock/drywall. I have seen trees fallen on homes in America and completely destroyed them. These homes you are looking at here in Jamaica are well constructed, concrete homes of the highest standards.
Welcome to Jamaica my sister from the motherland of Africa. We love our African brothers and sisters. I know that you will enjoy your stay in beautiful Jamaica. One love.
You'll find these kind of houses in communities in Mandeville, Manchester, places such as Runaway Bay, Discovery Bay, Ocho Rios, Priory, White River, Bonham Spring, Cardiff Hall in St. Ann, places such as Beverly Hills, Norbrook, Stony Hill, Cherry Gardens, Plantation Heights, Chancery Hall, Swain Spring, Smokey Vale, Long Mountain, Barbican, Mona Heights, Hope Pastures, Jacks Hills, Meadowbrook, Havendale, Russell Heights in Kingston, places such as Spring Valley, Bascobel, Huddersfield, Rio Nuevo, Tower Isle in St. Mary.
This to me is the Jamaican Hollywood neighbourhood hands down, not even Europe have houses like these, well done Jamaica be proud, you are developing very well 👏🏻👏🏻🙏

Girl you are bringing back memories for me. I GREW up in Montego Bay Ironshore in the 80"s and 90's . My dad was a businessman in Montego Bay. We had so much fun. Back then and now you have white & Indian and Chinese Jamaican too the live there. That's why the Jamaican moto is : out of many one people 🇯🇲 Welcome to Jamaica 🇯🇲 Growing 🎉up there really helped me be comfortable around both the rich and the poor. Thank you so much Dee for showing the beautiful side of my country. Most people only show the ghettos and the chaotic towns but never the beautiful streets and beautiful calm neighborhoods. Lots of these homes are owned by returning residents who come home to retire and many have multiple apartments which are rented out so they have income for retirement whether early or later
It's not only the rich that live in beautiful, the average middle class Jamaican also have nice houses too with access to National Housing Trust (NHT) funds.
Dee, I’m so glad that you have done a video to show the other side of Jamaica. I have been watching another utuber who is also currently in Jamaica and it’s so frustrating that he only shows the poverty and crime ridden areas. Jamaica has so much more to offer than crime and poverty. Please keep being different with your videos and not follow the same narrative that most other utubers are pushing for views. Try and get over to Portland, Kingston, ochi there is so much beauty in Jamaica Thank you
Miss Dee: Congratulations to you for heading to this amazing rich neighborhoods in Montego Bay & Kingston, Jamaica this weekend to shows where the rich Jamaican people hides with their family & relatives in these remarkable houses or Mansions in September of 2023❤❤❤
Hey Dee! Hailing you from NY. I went home to Jamaica after Marwa left and returned to NY just before you arrived. How unfortunate! Enjoy our beautiful Island Jamaica and stay safe. Really love you and what you are doing.
So glad you’re highlighting the other part of Jamaica that’s not shown by the media. Your next visit to Jamaica should be the rich neighborhoods in Kingston.
For some strange reason most of these youtubers expecialy the black ones seems to be very fascinated with going into ghettos and dangerous areas when they visit Jamaica, even places most Jamaicans don't even venture. I am not saying they shouldn't show it, but atlase show the entire island, there are so many videos about downtown Kingston only, and not even the entire downtown, just a specific part they showing, so it creates misconception by viewers.
@@davidscott3726yep, they don't even take the time to check out the waterfront downtown, because stuff like that probably won't spark a conversation in the comment section, or they might not get enough clicks. So stuff like"dangerous area in Kingston " will get more clicks, but in the long run they area continuing the stereotypes of black people that we all live in violent, dirty and unsafe places.
Good morning Dee.....I'm from mo bay and I'm interested in visiting your village ....I missed your brother while he was here and I also texted you...Have fun in my country and also my city Montego Bay...Stay blessed ....
Dee thank you for visiting my country and showing better living and community. Jamaica has 14 Parishes you are in St. James which the capital is Montego Bay. Negril is the western part of the Island where you will find Westmoreland its capital Savanna La Mar; bordering the parish Hanover, the capital is Lucea. Be Safe!!
I heard you said u going back downtown since you have seen there already you should view New Kingston ‘ travel along Old Hope Road , HopeRoad, Trafalger park back to HwT then to Portmore etc. Have fun. Sorry I’m not there to host u 😂
About the walls. I was watching a video about construction cost in Africa, I commented with the question of why was it necessary to have such massive gates and high walls, that would make me feel imprisoned. So many people told me I have not really seen expensive houses, or I wouldn't ask that. I was born in Jamaica and now live in Florida where I am a Real Estate Agent. I have sold many multimillion dollar houses, and not one had such huge gates and walls as I saw in the video of Africa.
@woody230bal What I see and comment on is not an opinion. The fact is I have not seen such massive walls around normal properties anywhere I have been to. I have lived on 3 continents and 6 countries: Jamaica, Suriname, Guyana, Switzerland, Holland, and the USA. And have visited even more countries. But based on movies and videos, I am only asking why African countries have those kinds of walls and gates.
Then just continue to sell your Florida homes and leave the people to their choices. Make sure the homes you are selling are not ocean side because they get just disappear in a few years time under the ocean.
You are right about the ocean side properties eventually covered in water. BTW, my asking about the wall is not to criticize but only to know if there is a special purpose because some of those walls look just as expensive as the actual house. And I cannot believe that crime is so bad in those nice looking villages that people spend so much on something.@@gloriarobinson1869

Ah, Mandeville is one of the places where the returning residents run to when they decide that they have endured enough of the cold in the US, Canada, and England. because of the cooler climate. There are pockets of some nice communities here as well. On your next visit let Jamaica Walk By drive you in from Kingston there are some great views on that leg of the highway that was opened a few days ago.

and Nuff, Nuff Blessings,
One Love ❤ 🇯🇲🇺🇲🙏
Big up big up DeeDee hope you felt very welcome and thanks for showing off my great beautiful island blessings to you!! 🙌🏿😌🙌🏿
Girl you are bringing back memories for me. I GREW up in Montego Bay Ironshore in the 80"s and 90's . My dad was a businessman in Montego Bay. We had so much fun. Back then, most people were business people. Some foreigners owned guest houses, too. So all my Jamaican friends was mixed . Back then and now you have white & Indian and Chinese Jamaican too the live there. That's why the Jamaican moto is : out of many one people 🇯🇲
Welcome to Jamaica 🇯🇲
Growing 🎉up there really helped me be comfortable around both the rich and the poor.
Other rich neighborhood in Montego Bay is SPRING FARM.
Tricia 🌺
Wow, Jamaica looks beautiful, and so do you Dee 😊❤.I really enjoyed the video. The neighbourhood is giving me beach vibes, which I love. Thanks for taking us with you.Enjoy yourself, Dee, and keep the videos coming.
Plenty of wealthy people in Jamaica sport's star's musicians and entertainers not to mention the wealthy ex pats who's returned and buit splendious extravagant home's. Jamaica is absolute paradise to live. Respect for showing the beuty of the island Girl ❤🇯🇲🇯🇲
@@monas Yeah that's probably true but also what I'm saying is other places in Jamaica which are just as nice and clean and have beautiful home's. Which ex pats and other successful Jamaicans live
Try and get over to Portland, Kingston, ochi there is so much beauty in Jamaica
Thank you
Miss Dee: Congratulations to you for heading to this amazing rich neighborhoods in Montego Bay & Kingston, Jamaica this weekend to shows where the rich Jamaican people hides with their family & relatives in these remarkable houses or Mansions in September of 2023❤❤❤
Hey Dee! Hailing you from NY. I went home to Jamaica after Marwa left and returned to NY just before you arrived. How unfortunate! Enjoy our beautiful Island Jamaica and stay safe. Really love you and what you are doing.
Peace and love my sister
Im coming to New NY soon we shall still meet

Greetings Brave one, Dee Mwango. those are some beautiful horses in Iron Shore. Thanks for the tour. And respect to Ann🙏🏾🇺🇸🇯🇲
Thanks soo much for watching too God bless
I'm Jamaican but never been to Ironshore. Thanks for taking me there
So glad you’re highlighting the other part of Jamaica that’s not shown by the media.
@@cadizking8161 that's why I don't click on them as they are clickbait
Loving the landscape, colours and variation in Architectural styles. Beautiful. Would love to visit Jamaica sometime soon.
Thanks soo mich for watching i appreciate

Very Beautiful, Homes , Thanks for taking us with u, cnt wait for more❤❤❤❤❤❤
Dee thank you for visiting my country and showing better living and community. Jamaica has 14 Parishes you are in St. James which the capital is Montego Bay. Negril is the western part of the Island where you will find Westmoreland its capital Savanna La Mar; bordering the parish Hanover, the capital is Lucea. Be Safe!!
I'm so glad I bookmarked this and can't stop watching it. This one is over the top.
Thank you for highlighting the developed side of Jamaica, unlike those other folks who go there and only show its poverty to the world... Thanks🙏
Thank you Dee for showing another side of my beautiful country Jamaica 🇯🇲. One love
I heard you said u going back downtown since you have seen there already you should view New Kingston ‘ travel along Old Hope Road , HopeRoad, Trafalger park back to HwT then to Portmore etc. Have fun. Sorry I’m not there to host u 😂
Yes I will thanks for the recommendation❤
BE SAFE AND KEEP MOVING
About the walls. I was watching a video about construction cost in Africa, I commented with the question of why was it necessary to have such massive gates and high walls, that would make me feel imprisoned. So many people told me I have not really seen expensive houses, or I wouldn't ask that. I was born in Jamaica and now live in Florida where I am a Real Estate Agent. I have sold many multimillion dollar houses, and not one had such huge gates and walls as I saw in the video of Africa.
That's your opinion. Every country is different.

Dee, you have captured the essence of Jamaica. This is my first comment on your videos and you have done an excellent job.
I always support you deedee
Thanks so much ❤
You're welcome deedee
Came across your content and I ❤your presentation. Some other neighborhoods you might like in Montegobay: Bogue Village, Westgate Hills, Coral Gardens, Mango Walk, The Lagoons, Spring Farms, and when in Kingston: Cherry Gardens, Jacks Hill, Noorbrook, Beverly Hills, Stony Hill, Mona Park. Many more but too much to mention. Enjoy your stay in my beautiful island queen.
Smokey Vale has to be top of the list as well
The houses are massive and beautiful
Hi Dee, Thanks for showcasing Jamaica next time please come to the central parts of Manchester
Good morning my beautiful sister how are you doing love you for loving my country 🇯🇲
Thanks soo much God Bless i really appreciate
Dee that’s so nice of you to really show some beautiful homes and the up scale side of Jamaica now you can go to Manchester mandiville ❤👍🏽
@@davidscott3726 lol
I asked Jamaica WalkBy why he only shows the ghetto side of Jamaica and he threatened to block me.
@@davidscott3726 ha ha Dee has a large audience some of whom doesnt know anything about Jamaica. I don't see a problem in him saying Halfway Tree is not in Kingston because it is the capital of the parish St. Andrew. Some of Dee's intl . audience dont know that Kingston is a parish #smallest parish in Ja and that the capital is the same. As for his errors you should point them.
Wow yes nice I’m from Mandeville Jamaica and my mother build a 6 bedroom house in Jamaica 15years ago we live in the UK and yes she spend a big amount of money but now her house is huge and beautiful I’m proud of her I didn’t build a house in Jamaica instead me and my husband have a house in a gated community in ocho Rios called Richmond Estate…thank you for showing the beauty of our country
Welcome to Jamaica. Lots to see, Lots to eat. One love.

I love watching all your contents dee❤ keep it up and God bless you alwys🙏 by the way, happy birthday to your mom
Thanks soo much for watching God bless
Hi, I am Jamaican. The houses in the first part of the video are just regular working class neighbourhoods, schemes we call them. Now Ironshore is the rich neighbourhood and Richmond😊. Go to Karachi, Beverly Hills, Jacks Hill, Long Mountain that's back in Kingston & St. Andrew.
Dee, you should go to the rich neighborhoods in Kingston also, people are always showing the poor neighborhoods.
Thanks soo Much yes im yet to show more and more beautiful places in Jamaica. One Love
Thanks Dee for visiting Jamaica and showing another part away from what you see everyday on TV. You need to visit the rural parishes like Manchester where I am from. You will see beautiful homes just like these. In every parish you will see beautiful houses that everyday people live in. 95% of these home do not have a bank mortgage because we built them in stages. Sometimes all 30 years to finished but you don’t owe no one any money.
It is good you came to my island home. I am glad you enjoyed your visit.
Welcome to Jamaica dee there more up scale communities in Kingston places Beverly hills ,cherry gardens ,smokey vale, red hills,Jack's hills, long mountain Narbouk, stoney hills these are all in Kingston try and visit one love team Dee🇯🇲🇰🇪
Thankyou Dee for showing the beautiful side of Jamaica...Simply beautiful 🙏
Jamaica is very beautiful with lovely people but like every where else we have ghettos as well 😊
