Welcome to the roller coaster world of machine embroidery. It's an amazing journey but a bumpy one sometimes. I hope my videos help to iron out any bumps along the way for you. Happy stitching and thanks for watching.
Thank you for your comments on stabilizers and why you use the ones you do. Does make a difference to use the right product for the right project. Thank you.
You're welcome Sandy. It does make a big difference to the end result of what you are stitching. As my Nan used to say, always use the right tools for whatever job you are doing. Thank you for watching.
Thanks. Very useful information. I've already asked you about batting on another video. I can't wait to get back into machine embroidery. My sewing room is a very slow work in progress!
I would use wash away stabilizer for these bibs. www.kreativekiwiembroidery.co.nz/product/In-the-hoop-Baby-Bib.html www.kreativekiwiembroidery.co.nz/product/In-the-hoop-Animal-Bib.html Here is the stitch alongvideo link ruclips.net/video/HTemLAoa-W0/видео.html
Hi. You've really inspired me to use my embroidery machine and your videos are brilliant. Could I ask what batting you use please. Yet another minefield of information to take on board
Thank you, Kay. Very helpful video. I love my squizzles, too. Even broke my first pair. lol I've ordered the double curve scissors and can't wait to try them. I use the same stabilizers as you, just different brand names. I wish I had known about these products when I started embroidery years ago. I really appreciate your videos!! Angel Huggers!!
You're welcome Mary. There is so much to know and understand with embroidery when you start out. It is nice to have a little bit of info to help you on that steep roller coaster learning curve.
I love your videos. I'm new to machine embroidery, and your videos are extremely helpful. I am obsessed with your tape. What kind of tape do you use? It sounds like it rips off the roll very easily. On your videos it sounds like you don't spend any time trying to find the end of the tape and pulling it off the roll. I've just been using washi tape to this point, but it is a pain in the rear. So what tape do you use, and where do you get it from? Thanks!
Hi Carol, I use cheap 1" masking tape in a large office size sellotape dispenser as it is heavy enough not to move when I pull on the tape. When filming videos I tear off enough strips for each hooping beforehand as it is much quicker, the noise you hear in the videos is the tape unsticking from the edge of my table as I pull it off to use. Thanks for watching and happy stitching 😊
Is there any particular type of tape you use to tape things down? The reason I ask about tape is the non stick masking tape does not hold up well when embroidering.
I use squizzors all the time to cut embroidery in the hoop. I seem to be able to get closer to the stitching just have to be careful that I don't cut the stabilizer because they are very sharp. What stabilizer do you use on the back of towels that you embroider wether kitchen or bath towels?
Hi Jackie no I cant because I am in Europe but if you put the my description words above the links into Amazon.com you will get the product listing. Sorry about that.
Thank you Kay. We all have learned so much from you.

Hi. You've really inspired me to use my embroidery machine and your videos are brilliant. Could I ask what batting you use please. Yet another minefield of information to take on board
Hi Carol sure you can ask. I use Vilene 295 high loft fleece for 99% of my stitch outs. Happy stitching.

Hi Brenda I get mine from Amazon. I hope this helps.
I can’t find them on Amazon :(
Is there any particular type of tape you use to tape things down?
The cheapest masking tape that I can find as it is usually the stickiest, no particular brand. Happy stitching

Yes the cheapest masking tape that I can find as it is often the stickiest. Don't use low tack as it doesn't hold. I hope this helps 🙂

They are nice and sharp. For towels I would use 2 layers of wash away. I am going to be doing a video on embroidering towels very soon.
Where can I find those squizzors?
Amazon is where I get mine.
Kay, Do you have affiliate links for the U. S.?
Hi Jackie no I cant because I am in Europe but if you put the my description words above the links into Amazon.com you will get the product listing. Sorry about that.
I have updated my list with Amazon.com underneath my affiliate links.
