    I think this is a great idea to get started. Everything in a single kit at a very good price. More manufacturers need to follow Emax’s lead and give us full kit options.
    Thanks Captain

      You would be wasting your money on this kit.. the controller is garbage and the goggles have no DVR. Check out the Betafpv advanced kit if you want a cheap all in one kit to start out with. Watch a few RUclips reviews of both kits and you will soon see that the Betafpv kit is a WAY better option for the same price. Then once you get good at flying, look into the dji system. I wish i would have had that option.

      @@FinnD777 No problem. Betafpv advanced kit is definitely the one to go with. Has DVR and The controller is pretty decent n can be used on multiple quads. I bought one as a backup/travel controller. I have 9 different frsky drones and it works great on all of them.

    This video was very helpful and very informative. I recently saw another “beginner kit” that was literally just a drone for 400 dollars. To me a beginner is someone with nothing but knowledge from research and a curiosity for the craft. So for this kit to come with EVERYTHING you need and even have obvious upgrades to be made (I.e. controller, goggles) it really does seem like the PERFECT way for an ABSOLUTE BEGINNER to get started. You sir have sold me and my wife.

    I heared not a delay but a huge deadzone in the center of the right stick might be what you experienced.
    So when you make micro adjustments nothing happens until you go over a certain angle and the the value jumps from zero to something far greater than one...

    I looked at this kit and the tinyhawk2 rtf kit, went with the th2 because I'm a hamfisted oaf and didn't want to give myself or my kids a buzzcut. It has the same controller and goggles. I have a -2 prescription and can use it nicely, it's just a bit small on my big head. Great kit to decide if you want to go further into the hobby and later on you can use the goggles as loaners so other people can watch what it's like when you fly. Only thing you really need is a bunch of extra batteries.

    I just bought one of these after watching your recommendation video. The drone itself is great, it is very fast and I didn't try acro but the motors are sure powerful. They really NEED to get better quality batteries. My battery burned right after my first flight and destroyed the drone. The + and - wires broke and connected causing a short circuit.

    • @CAPTAINDRONE798
      @CAPTAINDRONE798  4 года назад +3

      There is a trick to removing the batteries from the plug. If you pull incorrectly, you'll destroy the plug and short circuit the battery. This is true of all lipo batteries in the hobby.

    • @michelj.gaudet5048
      @michelj.gaudet5048 4 года назад +1

      Gee, buddy. You just need to learn HOW to PROPERLY handle your batteries. You can’t be using the wire leads as pull-tabs... lol.
      But seriously, we all sometimes get excited and don’t think about such things. Just get another and learn from your little ‘oops’.
      This is one sweet little drone for its price, so I got THREE... gave the goggles and controllers to some little friends that the goggles fit well on.

    You need to load up betaflight(or whatever programmer it uses) and check your expo in the drone, really don't think it's the controller itself. A high expo basically gives you a larger deadzone making it feel numb but also is more forgiving.

    oops. I decided to dip my toe into fpv after this video. It did not go well. What I should have done was try to fly it without the goggles first. I took off using only to throttle and elevation joystick. I could not figure out what was happening, got worried and brought the joystick back. The drone came down, but I cannot figure out where. I now bought the tx16? radio and signed up for drl simulator. I guess I'll figure out how to fly these things and then figure out which drone to go with. The other thing I can't figure out is the whole antenna thing. Everybody says the antennas are crap that come with any goggle. What antennas should a person with no tech ability get?

    @olivierf.4931 3 года назад +1

    Great so when you're a beginner, the thing you're going to keep in this kit "for years and years" is essentially the one that's going to be destroyed the fastest. Then you're going to replace instantly the one that would last the longest and that you would need to keep: the remote. Wow! That's really well thought about! The logical and most intelligent way to build a beginner's kit is to put a good remote that is not only compatible with the drone in the kit so you can replace or add drones while you keep your remote. But hey that must be a little too much to ask...

    • @CAPTAINDRONE798

      @olivierf.4931 3 года назад

      @@CAPTAINDRONE798 That's exactly the point I make. These kits are made for beginners so why focus on replacing the durable parts like the radio before the non durable ones like the drone? Your presentation exactly contradicts what you're saying here.

    • @CAPTAINDRONE798
      @CAPTAINDRONE798  3 года назад +1

      @@olivierf.4931 Oh I think the many people that read my comment will understand clearly that FPV BEGINNER ALL IN ONE KITS are made for Beginners and that those in the FPV Hobby would never buy one because they have moved on and have purchased themselves high end goggles and quality radio. The FPV hobby is expensive to get into and very confusing for many so that is why these all in one BEGINNER kits exist. Kind of like buying a BUDGET $200 CAMERA Drone as your first drone before jumping up to a $1000 DJI Drone that you'll keep for many years.

    • @Trekeyus

      In the FPV hobby, people buy FPV goggles to last them many years, so they buy good ones. Good FPV ANALOG googles are around $500 which I can tell is out of your budget. Just go on BANGGOOD and look for some high viewer rated low cost goggles.

    Hi commenting again. If I bought this one is it better than the other one you had recommended to me? Also there is acro mode switch on controller. Does that mean I can instantly switch to that and start doing flips in the air and everything? Or does that HAVE to be set up in beta flight app? I was hoping I could do all that acrobats without needing to set it up in beta flight like other drones.

      This one is for people with good hand/eye coordination. If you have no FPV skills, this one will be difficult for a newbie since it does not have much in the way of training wheels. Yes, you can fly it as us pros do when you get enough skills.
