To clarify something important, Mickey Mouse isn’t public domain, maybe. Steamboat willie was the character who entered public domain, and it remains to be seen if that also extends to Mickey Mouse.
Steamboat willie is a “version” of mickey mouse that is now in public domain, however current/newer stylizations of mickey are still copyrighted as far as im aware
It's kind of embarrassing that I didn't even realize that this was attached to Mickey's entrance into the public domain. I was so confused as to why all the characters were animal human hybrids.
Nice little bite-sized horror. As someone who had seen the short first, the various disfigured instruments in the Willie segment immediately clicked for me. Looking forward to the next one, your horror dives are a treat 🍬
Hey 4Plus, I loved the video, seriously it was something I found on the internet by surprise and seeing that you made a video made me very happy! I just wanted to give you a suggestion, maybe you can talk about Wii Delete You Re-Take, I think it's something worth making a video for.
The character of Mickey himself is technically not public domain. The Steamboat Willie version of him alone is the one people can use. That being said, calling him Mickey can still land you in some trouble. As Didney is not at all shy at finding loopholes and technicalities. So be wary everyone when making something relating to him. Also, a bit of a nitpick here, but interview style documentaries were not exactly that common during the 20s or 30s. At least not in this manner. My headcanon is that this whole thing is from the 80s but just has a 20s silent era theme. I like the idea of this series, but there are a bit of creative liberties here. Not at all bad, and if it continues, the Felix the cat shorts and the public domain Fliescher animations before the mouse will be a good place of inspiration for this Vintage Horror.
I don't think that's a Muppet; I'd think that petey; as he's also a sailor it'd make sense he's a port and would help load another ship for some money. Plus the hat has his weird little bow on it from back in the steamboat Willie days. Navy hat I think. Mayhaps just a sailors cap but I've seen them.
"Making music" is a slang for some type of murder. For example, trunk music is murdering someone and putting them in the trunk of their car. A gang hit. This is probably a sort of gang hit on the ship.
I hate how this happens. Why can’t people just make inspired media, like how the FNAF series was inspired by those old animatronics in places like CEC.
Captain (Pete):Probably Died of Drowning. Cow Deckhand: Teeth were used as piano keys while still alive, the skulls top is cracked open and a bone is placed under it to keep it still, similar to how a piano lids are left open (Same thing happened in the animated short). Pig Deckhand:Rib cages were stretched and mutilated to resemble strings (In the animated short, a mother pig is on the ground while her piglets are drinking her milk, Mickey come and uses the piglets tails as instruments) Goat Deckhand:Skull is on top of a record, on its right eye socket is a phonograph machine horn, 10:21 the record was played and it starts with normal music until goat cries are heard then it becomes screaming (In the animated short, Minnie used the goat as a music player)
I remember a creepy pasta about a Mickey the mouse costume at this abandoned theme park. Can’t remember what it’s called but I wouldn’t be surprised if someone makes a analog horror spin-off from it.
If I were the director of That new Public Domain Michael Mouse movie, I’d make it about how Mikey was losing his copyright, and he would be this tragic monster-like character where he kind of looks like the Thinner Mickey that was cut from Epic Mickey. But that’s just me. However they make the movie is up to them, and I hope they have fun making the movie.
I had a nightmare about steamboat willie coming to kill me in my sleep but i jumped up and ran but slowly was paralyzing until i fell and stopped, the last thing i saw was sucide mouse's terrifying face grinning until i woke up.
Less silly editing, its more more grim when you explain things as normal. I’m more uneasy when u don’t add bonking noises and a lot of memes lol. We love you 4plus.

the characters name is still mickey mouse, you are allowed to use this character and call him mickey mouse
his name isnt steamboat lol
@@ZyroRabbit Yeah the title of the cartoon is a parody of a then-current movie, like a lot of cartoons.
Steamboat Willie's the name of the ship. And the titled card literally says "A *Mickey Mouse* Sound Cartoon".
Except some frames used on the logo
I’m pretty sure the witness is meant to be the parrot from the original short.
Ohhhh good call! definitely not a muppet 😂
I love that they use all the antics they do in the original cartoon and just basically make them realistic
>analog horror
>looks inside
>film reel
Had this playing in the background and i was like half listening but 10:59 actually triggered manic fear in me
You had me stressing over 10:59
did you just weezer me.
Haha get weezer’d
*weezwr rift
10:54 I shouldn’t be laughing at this as much as I am
nah it caught me incredibly off guard too haha

I can't wait for an abandoned by disney horror short, thats a classic.
when mickey said "public domain (expansion): mickey mouse club house" i am jumping out of hype 🔥🔥🔥🔥🗣🗣🗣🗣
A Layers of Fear style game set on SS Willie would be pretty good
Ever had a realisation “oh crap” moment?
Well that’s the feeling I felt when he said the cows teeth looked like piano keys
37 seconds ago.. i am truly blessed!
4 minites for me
55 i am too!
7:40 My stupid self thought that was a lamb.

Didn't expect this to have such good atmosphere. Super well produced.
The ending with you covering the real version of the short had me laughing, you are not even wrong but its framed so dramatically lol
the little gags and funny edits just made this a lot bearable to watch at 4am in the dark
as a kid i never thought mickey was innocent I always thought he was a nazi or a propoganda spreader
The absolute power people have with Mickey Mouse now is unreal.
The character of Mickey himself is technically not public domain. The Steamboat Willie version of him alone is the one people can use. The part about Mickey and Minnie, recording their victims screams. Made me remember the sick twisted things Ian Brady and Myra Hindley did.

I would say this is more of film reel horror
Also an alternate name I call Mouse .Avi is “Mortimer’s’ fowl curse”
the weezer riff omggg
this needs a sequel
I liked the silly bonk noises and memes
Legendary
Nice video here, although what was the music/songs used in the background of this video as I am curious and wanting to hear more of it.
Reminder
The version of Mickey is the Steamboat Willie one that's in the Public Domain, not the modern version we all know
If they make a Mickey Mouse themed movie I hope they make a treasure island themed movie or horror short 😮
That creepypasta was always freakier imo 😳

I JUST GOT FUCKING WEEZER'D... FUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
the cabin boy is using the picture of the boy who fought at ww1 jutland, just with photoshop animal head.
do a thingy on the gilbert garfield arg
Everyone across the globe loved Disney during and after WW2. Why is politics and religion killing the medias that’s been loved for generations?!
"Making music" is a slang for some type of murder. For example, trunk music is murdering someone and putting them in the trunk of their car. A gang hit. This is probably a sort of gang hit on the ship.
6 minutes?? What is going onn😭
I think the interview character might be the parrot or daisy
I love the red birb, his name is Gumi or something similar right?
Was abandoned by Disney the one where the main character is a kid and a mickey mascot watches him steal at Disney land? Or is that the other one
i think the proper term would be "Optical horror"
I hate how this happens. Why can’t people just make inspired media, like how the FNAF series was inspired by those old animatronics in places like CEC.

@@GaiusIntrepidus excellent
That's actuality pretty cool I forgot they did that in the original film
Something I do want to say for "The Vanishing of S.S Willie" is that the steamboat is not actually traveling at sea, but instead on a river.
I remember a creepy pasta about a Mickey the mouse costume at this abandoned theme park.
Can’t remember what it’s called but I wouldn’t be surprised if someone makes a analog horror spin-off from it.
Abandoned By Disney?
Abandoned By Disney
im surprised it aint real knowing disney
You ider were a suisideMouse.avi or a abandoned by disney person

YEAAAH LEGALLY SAFE AND COMPLETELY MARKETABLE MICKEY MOUSE HORROR

Always a good day when 4Plus uploads
9:19 this is a refrence to how Mickey played the music in the actual steamboat Willie animation. This is also how the cabin boy played the music
another amazing video. i love your stuff dude. thanks for both entertaining but also haunting my day to day life 🤙🏻🤣

Fly high cow man hybrid🕊️❤️😭
I don’t think the cow was being harmed, if anything he got off pretty easy and seemed to enjoy getting his teeth used as a xylophone, so yeah
His skull is open...
Plus anyways I was talking about the actual original steamboat Willie cartoon from 1928, not the horror short
Please turn up the volume!
this piece proving once more "less is more"
i love how you describe the short
Lasagna
Steamboat willie is in public domain but since it is mickey mouse yea but its steamboat willie who is now public
Challenge: try not to make a kids show / cartoon into something horror related level: impossible
Home safety hotline pls?
8:47 Scariest part of video
the background music is taken from Hollywood tower of terror >_>
jeepers creepers
Humanoid Mickey isn't real he won't hurt you.
Humanoid mickey:
You should cover the new Godzilla analog horror series "Invasion of Godzilla". It's right up your alley.
Mowgli's Palace Creepypasta
If the creator makes a 2nd part, I think it’ll be a documentary about trying to find the 2 murderous mice
Less silly editing, its more more grim when you explain things as normal. I’m more uneasy when u don’t add bonking noises and a lot of memes lol. We love you 4plus.
