I have a mixed approach: every Saturday and Sunday I save ingredients to get a head start during the next week. I have a list of meals and ingredients of every type and I make sure to collect those during the weekend. I always run a Walrein with skill trigger M and level 6 main skill, so I have plenty of ingredients, even without collecting them with ingredient specialist.
Yesss, I love stockpiling ingredients too, to get that headstart 💜. Excellent strategy. How many times on average do you see your Walrein proc its skill in a day?
@@xdazeyyAround 2 times a day. But since it’s level 50 already, I prefer to do sleep research with other Pokémon. Especially during Good Sleep Day event (2x/3x sleep exp).
Very good video! I think as a relatively new player i got to aim for ingredient team as the flexibilty is more important to me than getting max strength every week. Nice to see you making more videos, you are very good at communicating more complex parts of the game in a simple way. Keep it up :)
Glad it was useful! I will be doing some updates to the Cooking Guide/Infographics given there's new recipes and mons now. But a quick tip is to save up your Ingredient mons first, even if they don't give you the "optimal" order of ingredients currently. As long as their stats/subskills are good! Because you'd never know when they will come in handy in future
Very well and interesting analysis, i focus first on fav berries then form what I currently have make a team that can consistently make 3 dishes daily, generally limiting this to 3 mons, then I use my 2 best berry mons or even 1 BFS and 1 skill mon, depending on what I have available, for example for taupe on my first attempt my best mon contributing in berry strength was a lvl25 flareon with BFS and Sleep EXP, this really helped to level up my char and cyndaquil. In this attempt I barely make it to master 2 and gran an incense that happens to give me a BFS cynda =)
Seems like our methods of forming the team is reversed; You start with the favourite berry mons and work from there, while I start from Ingredient mons first and fill in the remaining slots with the best Berry/Skill Pokemon 😆. No right, no wrong - it's so interesting how we all play the game differently. Thank you for sharing with me and congrats on your BFS Cyndaquil! It's gonna be a strong team member 👍🏻.
This is a great video! I've been building up my ingredient teams with a healer and one generalist BFS for use on their favorite berry island (Wailren, Feraligator, Raichu). I think it might be worth it to build one favorite berry BFS team for one island so you can achieve high scores on Good Sleep Day. I've been hunting totodile to achieve this on Cyan but I think Taupe with cyndaquil is strong too.
Thank you 💜 & High-Five! I'm actually also aiming to slowly build up my pool of BFS Berry Pokemon - In general, the starters are the best Berry performers, so definitely try to catch that Totodile/Cyndaquil. Good luck to you! (Hopefully the Devs also buff cooking more, so we don't have to build too many favourite BFS teams >.
Generalist BFS is so fun when you start out. The dopamine hit of excessive amounts of berries, pining just for the BFS subskill on a new pokemon... Now moving into the mid-game with recipe-focused teams, and it's raging daily about capturing pokemon with the wrong ingredient list and inadequate ingredient procs :(
I actually get what you mean xD. If you enjoy catching Berry mons, probably the Fav Berry + Healer team would be suitable as your next goal! With the recent updates, I'll have to recheck how much Berry mons have been impacted, but my gut tells me that Fav Berry + Healer team would fare better than full fav berry team.
@@xdazeyy re: healers, would be interesting to analyse if the new changes have affected the E4E vs Extra Helpful debate. I do enjoy running my Arcanine on Taupe, even if Wigglytuff is always on too..
Such a great video!! Very detailed and informative. I have the most fun when I have a combination of favorite BFS mons and mons with ingredient magnet. Usually 3 favorite BFS and 2 ingredient magnet. It's fun swapping them out each week and cooking different dishes!
Ahhh yes, I actually want to try that too. Actually have been on a mission to hunt a good Eevee to turn into a Vaporeon, but it will take awhile xD. Do note that there might be some changes to this analysis given the new updates (esp on Energy Recovery). I'll probably cover that in an upcoming video once Rae's site is fully updated to reflect the new changes.
Cooking Power Up-S will boost the Strength rewarded for recipe-based teams. I have a Flareon and a Glaceon already, but rarely run with either of them as I am still attempting to get my ingredient gatherers up in strength. However, my bag space often maxes out well before Sunday, so I may need to work one onto my team just to boost the amount of extra items I can toss into the pot rather than convert them into Dream Shards..
Thanks for the call-out! It would be interesting to see how a stacked Cooking Power Up - S Pokemon fares against a Berry Pokemon. My feeling tells me it would probably provide less Strength compared to favourite Berry mons. If the Devs raise the meal crit rates up during the weekdays or introduce a really strong dish, that might shake things up a little and provide even more incentive to run a pot skill Pokemon 😆.
I'm curious to how the new patch nerfs to sneaky snacking effects the chart now. Seems that cooking is the new meta but I'll wait and see your follow up video.
I am really curious about that too! My gut feeling is that Berry mons are still gonna be the meta, but Healer mons have become EVEN more of a necessity. So maybe 4+1 Healer might > Full Fav Berry team. Rae's site is still in the midst of implementing the new changes for energy recovery. Once that's done, I'll be able to do a follow-up analysis 👍🏻.
I think yesterday I asked the creator and he has the calculator is updated to the new change to energy, meanwhile the old chart I checked is taken down, new chart is stated to be WIP
Depends! A full favourite Berry Pokemon team with BFS (Berry Finding Skill) would take some time to assemble too xD. So while forming that team, Recipe-Focused teams are good to balance strength & flexibility across islands. Also, I do hope that the Sleep devs will buff Recipes in future 🙏.
BFS is so overpowered that in my opinion you have to give it to both ingredient and berry mons for a fair comparison. Nice math focused content though, I'll have to check out your other stuff Edit: love the chart at 12:32, these are things a lot of people don't consider but really matter in practice (I consider myself hardcore balanced I suppose, 1x healer + 1x favored BFS + 1x generalist BFS + 2x ingredient mons)
That's true xD Didn't think of that. Though I gotta say I'm a mixed bag when it comes to having BFS on an Ingredient mon. I think it does well on certain Ing mons esp if they have high Ingredient % but not for all (e.g. if it severely impacts the mons' ability to produce enough ingredients to make the meal 3X a day -> 1X a day). I love your team strat btw! Well-balanced and pretty versatile 👍🏻.
Correction for Energy Assumption: Turns out there's a 1.5 hour nap (Forgot to turn off the default nap settings >.
Did you take into acount that recipes themselves also scale when you use them repeatedly?
Wtf, the video is way too good for a non competitive game. 11/10
Great analysis ! Best Pokémon sleep content I’ve seen ! Keep it up !
✨💜 Tq for your kind comment!
Wow, that breakdown actually really helped me understand the variations. THANK YOU! 🎉
Great analysis. Thanks for the info. I currently have a generalist team and have been debating what team to really focus on.

Thank you for this video this is a really indepth analysis and is really helpful. I am definitely a Generalist Raticate AFKer .
Definitely well-suited for a hands-off gaming approach xD

Time to catch more mouse and rats
Can't wait for Raichu to get its own fav berry island! Those who have built a team of generalist Raichus will thrive there.

But maybe I should change it to Barry funders 🤔

QUEEEEEEEEN you ate this analysis UPPPP
Hey great video! For me, the music was a bit too loud crossing over with your voice which made it a bit difficult to listen. Cheers!
Thanks for letting me know! I will try to increase the volume of my voice for future videos! 👍🏻
