"Don't do that or you will suffer from loss of self-esteem" LMAO XD
true though... xD
Your advice is very valuable and your humor is awesome. You are a great mentor!
Pretty good tutorial for a 1 hour video, thx for taking the time
This is a well done tutorial.
Dude you're friggin amazing!
Wish you showed the brushes and division levels.
Awesome tutorial thouhh.
great video thank you so much!
Great sculpting! I am not good at sculpting female face.
can you provide download link to the male and female bone pictures you have used in this video?
yes please
found it www.pinterest.ph/pin/397864948323945125/
Always use perspective view sculpting?
The real life has perspective, so it is good to sculpt with perspective on ;)
@@SpeedChar thx you i will try perspective view sculpting next time :D
lemme just say that this person just showed us literally everything he knows about how to skulpt a female face!! not just his techniques but also the common flaws and mistakes we can make!
dunno about others but i am really greatful that watched your tutorial sir. Thank you very much for this fun and informative tutorial~
Absolute class. I learned so much, thank you!!
And I learned so much from both of you.
Both of you..🥇💎
"No, mouth is not like that. And also, mouth is not in forehead."
"I'm doing a girl with no hair. She was a rebel.... I know, I know. She's a very brave one."
"Because there is a muscle there.... which we have to have."
"We will make it work..... most likely."
This guy XD You've got yourself a subscriber.
he also said some girls have no brain :)
"And now we will make a helmet with a neck, which is better than just a helmet of course"
"But, very very important, don't make this... kind of thing. It's not gonna work. It will be awful and you will suffer... from uuh, loss of self esteem."
"Ive seen people in the tram. I sat behind them and I watched their ears"
@@hankb7725 *guys you had a typo there😃
"There are brainless girl, but still it's good to have it...because it looks nice."
😂😂
Lmao
Bahahaha
Quotables
LOL... I'm sure that's not what he meant, but damn that's funny XD
I was looking for such a comment..hehe
It's your sense of humour that makes the hour long video easy to sit through.
"I know there are brainless girls, but still it is good to have it, because it looks nice."
I knew right away that this was gonna be a fun one.
i didn't expect to laugh this much in a tutorial
I love the fact that you don't know the name of shit alas the tutorial delivers an astronomic amount of educational value.
Yeah, couldn't agree more!
"...and also, the mouth is not on the forehead!" ...haha dude you're cracking me up. Probably the best intro to head sculpting I've ever seen. Totally on point. Easy to follow. Keep up the great work.
This is a great tutorial. Your technique and knowledge are beyond most, only 18 minutes and you have a realistic, anatomically correct face. Most people push and pull a dynamesh until they get a resemblance of what a face looks like. You start with a skull as a base and work off of it, creating a flawless representation of a realistic head. Best head tutorial I've seen yet. Good job!
16:25 I guess I should too
"To be a freak is a small price to pay for this"
Beautiful quote
This is an astounding demo!!! I'm flabbergasted with this guy's talent. Incredible!
Thanks a lot for this full video.Very helpful.
Thank you! I followed it through as one of the first head sculpting experiences for me and im happy with the result
i never knew a ZBrush tutorial would make me laugh this much 😂😂
Why do you laugh?
"People try to make a head with 1/2 a million polygons and it just doesn't work" Seriously like honestly. thanks for reminding me of this. I find it easy to do other anatomy with dynamesh in so many poly's but faces and heads is a pain in the ass!
2 months of practice for the tutroial - wow! Thanks so much for your efforts dude, love your sculpts and your sense of humour - also the knowledge you spread is greatly appreciated. Just wanted to say thanks anyways. ;)
Thanks a lot man, you're one of the best guys that make tutorials, you go straight to the point and never stay quiet so you explain everything you do. I hope and wish you teach us more things in the future!
Thank you I will try to make more courses and tutorials :)
I'm sculpting a human head in ZBush Core Mini for my college class and I've been having so much trouble. After watching 10 minutes of this video, I feel like I know what I was doing wrong and how to change. This is such a perfect tutorial, you should be so proud of how you were able to make people understand so well after only 10 minutes.
"...YEAH they could be horns" :D
Definitely the best free female head tutorial on the net. I really wanna thank you for taking the time to make this tutorial! It helped me alot!
I'm sure everybody would love to see more of your workflow. This Channel should grow very fast, with this quality of tutorials.
Thank you, hopefully I will have the time and will to do them :).
im aware that this is old. But the amount of stuff I have learned in this video is unbelievable.
I’ve drawn portraits for many years and still benefitted from this!
This is beyond perfect!
I've been struggling for a long time to sculpt heads, basically only way I could do it was to put ref inside zbrush with spotlight, but I knew on the long run this would just hold me back so I started to learn actual proportions, face planes, etc. I have a basic undestanding of proportions, it made sense in my head but not in the zbrush head (bad pun intended), so yeah I was suffering from self esteem because I couldn't sculpt a head...
Then I decided to "follow" this, yeah I was kinda rushing it, but for a rough attempt I was able to actually make sense of these proportions in the zbrush head.
Thank you very much!
"and also the mouth is not on the forehead" lolll xD amazing
Thank you so much for this video. I literally tried my hand at 3D sculpting for the first time in my life yesterday. The abomination I created would have been burned with fire had it not been digital lol. This video completely changed my mindset and approach.
"..also the mouth is not on the forehead" 🤣
I like your talent combo. Great digital sculptor and comedian :) Good Job NIkolay
Great channel! I laugh and learn/refresha lot! :) Thanks!
How you made the ear in 10 seconds 👏👏👏 great video! Thanks you
Love your tutorial and sense of humor. Keep up the great work.
laughs in unlimited free trial
Mind absolutely blown. Best tutorial hands down. Observations, humour, common mistakes. I'm going to buy all your courses.
You should make t-shirts with "Mouth is also not on forehead". Daily sculptors observations lol.
A+ material, thanks so much for sharing your knowledge.
Thank you very much! Haven't touched Zbrush in months, it helped to get back on track!
I really like your method, I didn't touch zbrush yet but this is the most organized method of head sculpting I've ever seen
Thanks it's full and free :-D v appreciate it
love the tutorial and the colorful commentary , keep it up the good work buddy!!
Extremely helpful tutorial to sculpt along with. I learned a lot about the head anatomy, fat pockets, muscles etc., and I'll definitely consider your courses also. Thanks!
honestly the best soft tutorial ive ever seen. short and straight to the point ! i love it
"She looks a little bit out of this world but..." :D
Very helpful. Thanks!
I'm using Blender btw.
just an hour? wow very skillful!

Jason Statham, thank you for your lesson!
I am his brother. But thank you too!
Yeah...
Damn, this is exactly what I was about to search in 10 minutes, and RUclips just recommended it to me
man, it's really the best video about sculpting FEMALE head. thank you very much for this result and for way you behave
I really learn a lot from this single video thanks from everything man
Thank you!
Enjoyed this this video keep it up! ;)
Great Work! I love the details you gave to the model. Spassiba.
your tutorials are great, i cant wait to try putting this into practise in Zbrush but watching these has made me realise what ive been doing wrong about drawing mouths too
Thanks man. I learned alot from you
finally, someone who can actually fucking sculpt makes a decent video that i can learn from, so many videos out there with clueless people uploading videos on how to do anatomy based work with 0 idea as to what they're doing, was about to lose my mind, thank you for this
Pretty angry comment, but since it is flattering for me i like it :). You can take a look at my other videos as well i have few more for head sculpting :).
很直观的教程。。。从事这个行业有两年多了 目前角色 做的总是不尽人意 在这里 我看到了方向 谢谢
大佬是哪里的
I like the way you are establishing the ears early in the sculpt, which clarifies head proportions
esp cheekbones
Your humbleness overshadow your artful skill. Some artist dealing with the male/female anatomy go so high up that they believe they are Gods. Awesome knowledge of the distinctive features of the face anatomy. Thank you much for sharing your knowledge. I was just roaming around on this moonlight hours for something edifying to see when I caught sight of a familiar face features of a friend i knewed and stayed up right through until I was pop back to earth when the video ended. Thank you much for sharing your knowledge with others. We just try to emulate the art of the greatest artist there is: The true God.
Thank you. I don't know if some artist think of themselves as gods, but i know that part of our artistic searches and urges is the inner desire to feel more like a creator. Create our own creatures, worlds. To recreate life from simple objects, to give life even, however arrogant this may sound :). But the true dedicated artist will always know that he has a lot more to learn, and that there is always room for improvement. And that is also one of the most interesting parts of being an artist, the constant seek for improvement. So we are never completely happy with our work :).
Thank you so much for this video Niko!! Your Udemy courses and videos on RUclips have helped me transform my little aliens into beautiful girls :)
Man you such a cool teacher! It is so interesting and fun to watch you! Keep up the good work!
I've struggled for 2 days now to sculpt a face for my character that I've drawn plenty of times in 2D, but doing it in 3D having to worry about every angle, but still get the look I want for any one angle, presents such a tremendous challenge. Honestly it's still not done, and I can see evn more so now after watching your vid. A very educational vid, and your humor made it not a chore to sit through. Thank you very much friend 👍
Always entertaining and informative tutorials. Thank you. ROFL How are you able to keep a straight face while saying.... "there are brainless girls...".
thank you for useful tutorial i was looking for something not time lapsed 👏Arigato kuzaimas 😬
ありがとうございます arigatou gozaimasu
I was skeptic when I clicked on the video. But I think you changed me from a box modeling, low poly to high poly, subdivision guy into a sculptor. I've watched sculptors before... their seemingly impeccable knowledge of anatomy has intimidated me. not saying that anatomy isn't important because of course it is. But for some reason your video here has made it more approachable in my brain. Thank you for the techniques.
You just got one new subscriber.
Потрясно! Легкие движения и выходит красота! Я повторяю за тобой, но выходит пока что так себе, сразу отказался от идеи лепить лица знакомых, что б не разочароваться в своих навыках :D
quick question: Do you use a mouse or a graphic tablet?
Quick answer: ruclips.net/video/Nt8K5ZQNx-0/видео.html
better than mass effect andromeda
very good explanation about how to work with the proportion on the eyes and iris, is something that use to look allways odd and I didn't know why so I allway had to mess a lot arrount till I get more or less a good feeling. ThankS!
I learned a lot from this vid. And I already know how to draw and paint heads realistically, I am just new to 3D and sculpting and general. I learned a lot about how a sculptor works from watching this, thank you!
"yah There are brainless girls I know, but still it's good to have it" killed me
THIS TUTORIAL SHOULD GET AN OSCAR SERIOUSLY ONE OF THE MOST POWERFUL ...
It is the same and completely different from sculpting with clay. Clay is easy once you understand anatomy. Feeling the surface means a lot. Doing it digitally is much harder. No tactile feedback. Explaining to the computer what your hands automatically do to a surface is... frustrating. The tools are good, but there is so much more nuance to using your own hands on a surface. I've just started trying and my god, it is hard. I have to keep turning the thing to make sure I did what I thought I did. Then i have to turn it back and continue and the flow is lost. Maybe it is about getting used to a medium and I'll be fine one day.
I found ears much less intimidating once I understood the major parts, which are the helix (9 shape), anti-helix (y shape), tragus, anti-tragus and lobe. Once you understand those simple five things (mostly four, since everyone already knows what a lobe is) and the characteristics of each, it all comes together in the whole shape.
Man I love your Sense of humor and your teaching style I love it man thank you for taking the time and you’re freaking awesome
Finally it's here! Thanks man!
If I ever visit Bulgaria , I'll try to meet you in person
Gladly my friend. Bulgaria is a pretty beautiful and safe country so you are welcome :).
I cant thank you enough for these videos and the beginers course. I learn so much from each video
Woww... Thank you very much... Sir love from india 🇮🇳 u clear my every doubts thanku again❤
Thank you for tutorials bro. keep them up.
Very good tutorial and relaxing comments. Thanks !!
Beautiful !
Your job is perfect. Thank you.
Thank you for the kind words.
less than 2 minutes in the vid and you already made me laugh two times while watching a tutorial! that's really good.
He is funny, I'd chill with him and sculpt ,good times all day
Who's genius idea was it to make 'delete' an undoable action? I literally lost all my progress because I tried deleting the sphere but deleted my sculpture instead. This software absolutely sucks.
great video, it helped me improve my sculpture, thank you!
This is a good example of a long tutorial, a little bit of fun and a little bit of seriousness, I wasn't bored at all, very informative. Thank you.
Would have been better if you narrate the tool info, since you don't tell how you smoothing applying and removing clay shape. smoothing the vertices and stretching and contracting. That would have helped. While your current narration isn't helpful of how you making it practically. Its just what we see, you telling us what we are seeing !! Otherwise it would have been so helpful. Or is it for someone who know zbrush very well
This is not exactly a Zbrush tutorial. It is more like anatomy tutorial. I am making some Zbrush related tutorials separately.
@@SpeedChar Didn't thought you would reply, but really thank you. And this video is really superb and would again watch it once the Baics tools using is understood. As this videos shows how you achieve the head and going thru the process which is really helpful one. What i meant is if you could just said that what tool you using. Than this video would have been completely perfect for anyone a starter or inter or experienced.. :)
And your videos are great, would be waiting your basics of zbrush video. Since you make things appear simple and understandable
Just watching 5 minutes of this was a great reminder of how important it is to know your anatomy. Great lesson! :)
@SpeedChar Can you make a library of different facial features that you can just use and "paste" on the model you are working on, e.g., a collection of different noses, ears, eyes, etc. for the face, which I believe would be much faster and efficient?
Pardon my silly question, I am a total noob on this and I am thinking of a way to speed up work on ZBrush if I will work on it as I am planning to focus on creating 3D art as both a hobby and a career.
It was awfully good! (opposite of Amazingly wrong 😂)
Dude you're sick😂
Really enjoyed this ling tut. Thanks man haha
incroyable! thanks you so musch it's was very helpful! :)
For example how the ear is looking from the back? Nobody knows. Except me, I knows. I know, because I've seen people in the tram, and I stood behind them, and I watch their ears. Yeah I know its uh something like uhhhm, I'm kindof a freak. But I have learned how the ear looks from behind, so. I think it's a small price to pay to be a freak. To be a freak is a small price to pay, for this.
The most important part of the tutorial is in the first minute, and I just can't get it right.
i just found that you had this channel .. love your blender stuff :) awesome to know your using Zbrush also
thank you so muchhhhhh, but how can you open its mouth :((( i'm new to blender so i really don't know, please help if anyone knows :(((
