Drunk elephant is full of it and so is every other line that tries the "they're meant to work together so you have to use everything from OUR BRAND" pitch. If a product is good with good ingredients, it will do its job without assistance from another product. I'll never be loyal to a brand, I want the best products for my skin from whatever brands I use (that I can afford, which isn't drunk elephant lol). I use a lot of Korean and Japanese skincare and supplement actives from The Ordinary and Hylamide.
Me too! Love this comment. What are your faves? I just ordered the Missha first treatment essence and Pyunkang Yul facial toner and I have some well priced Ordinary goodies in my cabinet. I also really enjoy my Hada Labo oil cleanser for a first cleanse before Cerave’s classic hydrating cleanser. There is so much free education out there from excellent folks like Gothmista and Dr Dray that I find I’m able to learn and toy around with quality products that I can afford to use with consistency and there is no need for me to stick to one range let alone one that’s out of my price range. =)
Sara K. A lot of drunk elephant works without other products from their brand but I've noticed it works either amazing or not at all. I used the Drunk Elephant Vitamin C and it lightened and reduced severe scarring on my face so it is an amazing product, for me, but my best friend who used it as well saw no improvement in the same area.
What is it about these organizing and declutter videos that fascinate me so much? Guess how I'll be spending my Saturday tomorrow? Lol. Looking forward to the next one !

I have never heard of this company! I searched their site and found my favorite perfume (Wonderlust by Michael Kors) and bought the big size for $68! 😮 It is $112 on Sephora and Ulta for the 3.4 oz size. Thank you so much, Jessica, for always saving me money. You are the best :)

Jessica you can use salicylic acid while being pregnant. I am 28 weeks pregnant my midwife and my facialist both said it was ok to use. But you can’t use retinol and benzoyl peroxide.
A good reason to keep perfume boxes is that perfume is affected by both light and heat, so unless the bottle is dark, keeping it in the box is good. You know how essential oils come in blue or amber glass to protect them? Same idea. Also, the bathroom is not a good place to store perfume because of the heat and humidity. I do love me a decluttering vid!
If your worried about older skincare products reacting bad with your skin since they’re old, chances are they’re probably fine if it’s not super obvious (smell and texture changes), you can always add the serums to your body moisturizer and it’ll boost the benefits of your normal body lotion. Also for moisturizers you can just polish off the small tube or jar off pretty much in one use on your body. It helps me to feel less wasteful to just go ahead and try to use it up since it’s on my body not my face.

Charlene Jo absolutely. It’s still a moisturizer, but if your unsure about using it on your face because it’s old or maybe breaks you out, I always just use up the product on my body so it doesn’t go to waste. My body doesn’t breakout from certain moisturizers like my face does.
I've bought from that Fragrance site for years, they're very reputable and the prices are awesome! I almost never pay retail for fragrances anymore!

Jess, if you love the Belief hydration cream and are on the hunt for a good eye cream, the Belief Peat Miracle Revital eye cream in the green container is my holy grail eye cream! It completely transformed my creasy, crepey eyes into soft, smooth youthful eyes! It also stopped the cycle of dermatitis that I kept getting. It is SO good!
I've tried lots of higher end eye creams recently and find myself keep switching back to the simple Burts Bees Eye Cream for Sensitive Skin.

Hey, Jess! Not sure if you care but I thought I'd mention that keeping your perfumes in the bathroom makes them go bad faster because of the moisture level. 💚💙💚

I came to the comments section to say the same. The humidity and the constant temperature changes can ruin perfectly wonderful fragrances as the one she has.
I'm glad I'm not the only one obsessed with environmental storage conditions for things - I think it's a bit of a carry-over from my job but it's comforting that I'm not the only one who thinks this way about the perfumes. I also keep them in the dark as much as possible due to uv rays degenerating the ingredients.
You could try dating your products when you open them with a sharpie that you keep in the drawer, works pretty well for me :)

Great video. I need to do this. A couple of recommendations: 1) The Haemish All Clean balm to remove makeup and follow it with Cerave hydrating cleanser. 2) Burt’s Bees facial oil 3) Cerave eyecream 3) Mizon Ceramide eyecream (I layer it with Cerave) 4) Skyn Iceland Icelandic Relief Eye Cream with Glacial Flower Extract is amazing! It takes just a tiny bit. I just rub my finger over it and pat it in. 5) Mizon Snail Wrinkle Repair Sleeping Pack, it is extremely moisturising and helps clear up blemishes. 6) Missha Time Revolution The First Treatment Essence is the best! It is super hydrating and preps my skin for everything to follow. 7) Pixie Glow Tonic with glycoli acid is fantastic!

Need brightening? Origins Ginzing eye cream is SOOO good! It depuffs (I feel like it tightens the area just a bit?), and has that pinky, pearly finish that really brightens the undereye! So good.

If a product is still good (smells good, consistency is fine) and it's like a month to 6 months over "its date" it's fine. Those dates they just have to put on there. They even do it with medication and that is even proven to still be OK and effective YEARS over its date. Kind of depends on the medication (insuline & nitro, they go bad after their date is up).

Hey Jess, I don't comment a lot on videos but I do watch all of yours. Just an FYI that the bathroom is the worst place to store perfumes (I'm actually a fragrance specialist). The reason being is that it takes the juice out of it's equilibrium due to heat and humidity of baths and showers so it makes it spoil much much quicker. Storing them in a dark place out of heat and light (and at normal room temp) will keep it better for up to 4 or 5 years VS only maybe 1 to 2 years. Hope this helps you keep your precious goodies good for an even longer time :D

I LOVE that Boscia face peel. To test to see if it was working I used to two times in a row. The second time I used it there was barely any peeling. Made my skin super smooth and doesn’t irritate at all. I love using it before makeup for a special occasion or before an acne treatment.

DermaDoctor wrinkle revenge eye cream is the best! I have very sensitive eyes and I always get bumps or irritation from eye creams but not from this one. It's not greasy and is perfect under makeup. It's also safe to you use on your eyelids which you can't do with a lot of other eye creams.

My holy-grail eye cream is the Shisedio Benefiance WrinkleResist24 Intensive Eye Contour Cream... long name, but worth it. It's definitely a night treatment since it's a bit on the heavy side, but if you struggle with any kind of dryness and fine lines under your eyes, this is amazing! Love these videos :)

I ordered the lip mask during the Sephora VIB sale and am so excited to get it! I surprisingly didn’t like the sample of the regular water mask they make but have high hope for the lip one :).
I’m also decluttering today as well!! I recently (yesterday) moved into a much smaller space and decided I didn’t need a chunk of makeup especially older stuff
I have been trying out the Drunk Elephant eye cream for a week or so, and I really like it. It takes LESS than a pea-sized amount to cover both eyes, and it doesn’t disturb your eye makeup in the morning!!! The bottle will last forever!!!!
I love the Tarte vitamin c eye cream. Its from the Rainforest of tbe Sea collection I think? It comes in some of their sample kits and its the only eye cream I've ever repurchased.
Nest Indigo smells like the fragrance they had in the soaps and whatnot at the Ritz Carlton hotel I stayed at for a cousin's wedding years and years ago. It smells so freakin good!!
Try shiseido benefiance eye cream. It’s thick which some people won’t like and I only use it at night. I’ve been using it since I was 33 and almost 8 years later, I still don’t have new fine lines and wrinkles. For day time, I recommend Khiel’s creamy eye treatment. It’s a newer product for me, around 3 years because I went on the usual route of trying several eye creams first and finally coming back to this one.
You are so dang CUTE! I love your videos and when you declutter it inspires me to do the same. I have an idea to share wtih you. I keep my bobby pins in an old TicTac mints container. The lable comes off easily and the top pulls out so it was easy to risnse & dry and put all the pins in. Then when I need one I pop open the top and shake out what I need. I actually have 2 in my drawer; 1 one small bobby pins and 1 for the large ones. It works great! Take care & I hope the end of your pregnancy goes well. So, I’m gonna go out here and say it... I think that eye creams, are a myth 😒 I’ve tried so many, some with the same or similar claims, others that are different and I can’t find one that does anything! I’ve found that just patting my regular anti aging face creams around the eye area along with my anti aging serums does the same thing. Am I crazy?
Grace Mcewen I have a Dr Sebagh eye product that has totally changed my life. It can be a bit of a faff to remember to use every night but I have never found anything that improves my dark circles before so it's worth the time and effort for me personally.
I have read alot if studies showing it's unnecessary to use a seperate eye cream. And to also make sure and use spf around the eye

Have you tried the cerve eye cream or the no 7 eye cream (I think it's the one with the green cap)? They were pretty good with hydration for the under eyes...made it very smooth

We must have very similar taste in perfumes because Lancome La Vie et Belle and NEST Indigo are 2 of my favorites!!! You should try NEST Black Tulip for spring! I just got it and I'm LOVING it!!!

For an eye cream, try an eye beauty oil. I feel like those have moisturization and more.targeted benefits.

I really love the Elf illuminating eye cream!! It's only $10 and Ive used up a whole one already. I bought the Shiseido eye contour cream because I found it at TJmaxx on sale and its super thick and nice but I cant wait to use it up so I can buy another elf one!
Sheisado has the best eye cream I've ever used. Takes very little, lasts forever and very effective.

Love Caudalie products. I get facials at their NYC Bleecker location. One thing they recommend, DO NOT use the Vinoperfect Essence in the day! It sensitizes your skin and will make you susceptible to melasma 👍🏼 use only as night😘
You love the fruit-chouli scents! I don't, except maybe Chanel Chance, which you might try since you love Coco Mlle. I do love Gucci Guilty, though. I also like Gucci Premiere for a slightly drier scent. I have hundreds of perfumes, and totally agree about buying the plain box/no box/no cap offers when possible because it's the same juice inside! Why pay more?
Try the new C Tango eye cream by Drunk Elephant... it’s amazing. I got sent a sample and I will purchase it, you can literally see dark circles getting lighter as you put in on and you need half a pump for both eyes.

As a registered Pharmacist the way the companies determine "expiry dates" is they keep the product at 10 degrees Celsius above what the normal storage conditions state on the package and determine when 10 % of the product degrades thus giving a "best before" date.This is a general rule of thumb so if you store your products correctly it can last much longer than indicated. Of course use common sense - if a product has gone bad DONT USE IT!
This is just a general rule for pharmaceuticals and cosmetics, hope this helps
I guess its the 'nosy' part of me but I love declutter videos like this! For my eyes, (keep in mind I am 45 and have mature crepey skin around the eyes), I really love Skinceuticals A.G.E eye cream for day and night. I also tap a drop of Biossance squalane oil over the eye cream at night. The eye cream is able to be used on the eyelid as well. Its pricey but I swear it is the only one I have ever noticed a true difference with and it lays down under concealer really well. I purchase it from Premier Look and always use a 15% discount code - easily found on other creators channels, Brianna Stanko (also the Premier owner) Stephanie Marie , Lisa Stevens, etc..

The belif moisturizing eye bomb from the same line as that moisturizer is fantastic! I got it a sample of it in a set with the moisturizer and their essence during the last vib sale and I liked the eye cream so much I had to buy the full size
I have these 3 tier small decorative stands(approx. 12" Wx12" H), I have a couple one for foundations, one for my serums & moisturizers, sunblock, one for my favorite bronzers and highlighters . I've found them at tjmaxx, also nail polish racks I've found at Ross, they help me keep less products in drawers so I can remember to use products because they are visible.

I love all the same perfumes!!! Our smell must be similar. You would absolutely LOVE the Sephora Disney perfume Jasmine - A Whole New World. It mixes amazing with La Vie Es Belle!! I get complimented every time I wear that combo. Sephora no longer sells it but you can find it online.

Hey Jess with how organized you are and continue to work on, what if you used a label maker and labeled the date that you opened products that are prone to expiring. I know you go through some products fast enough but for the ones you use more sparingly it may help. Something like 4/16 that won’t take up much room. For at least the first year Mama brain is way worse than pregnancy brain 😂❤️.
You could give the Bobbi Brown hydrating eye cream a go ... I have super fussy skin and it's the only thing I can seem to use on it aside from straight up Rose hip oil...
I don't know if you've tried the Origins Ginzing Eye cream but I love it for in the morning because it's brightening!!! I need to declutter...especially my closet but...ugh. I may just have to donate it all so I don't have to "deal" with it!!1
