It's not worth $100 million to me. I'd rather have a 48 Leaf high grade Jackie Robinson and then a 68 Venezuelan Ryan. It gets old to me seeing whales with deep pockets having exclusive deals with PSA or Jordan. Even if I was rich, I wouldn't pay big money for them. I don't buy the $100 million dollar offer either.

Nowhere near 100 million. I'd take a 48 Leaf high grade Jackie Robinson and a 68 Venezuelan Ryan instead. Wrong pen and the autos don't look good or that legible.

Amazingly back in the day if you had a card worth $1000 & you had it signed, it would then de-value the card to the price of the autograph & the card was deemed worthless. The card would be considered in poor condition & only the autograph would have value.

Sometimes it isn’t what you could pay to have something like this done. Instead, it could be who you are or who you know. If no fee was paid to MJ, the owner could have promised to sell or auction one or more for a charity. The autos are close to unreadable, but they are still there and would be cool to own one. I have no idea what the auto would add to the value, but it would be more than I could afford.

If the person that owns these cards (who I'm guessing is Probstein) turned down a $100 million offer then he's not very wise. Maybe on a good day, these cards could sell for $1 million each.

This whole thing was a major bust. The autos look awful. I’m guessing they thought the thicker sharpie made the auto stand out a little better on the dark background but it totally backfired. Should have experimented with other colors with a thinner Staedtler.

I already know I'm going to be in the minority here ..but I believe he should have used a thinner pen and signed/inscribed on the BACK of each card in that bid ole empty space.
YEAH YEAH YEAH....I KNOW... people want the front signed...PHOOEY!! The backs area is PERFECT for a clean, legible auto and plenty of room for the additional text of the inscription!! Then you have a beautiful, clean, unmarred shot of MJ on the front still and a next level REVERSE of the card that's really only been seen ONCE...and personally,I think it's something to behold.
In the minority? Sure...I'll take that.
RIGHT? I don't think there's a solid argument to deny it.

In my opinion, PSA grading standards are tougher today than, say, 20 years ago. I use the APR on Psa hundreds of times. I can click on the picture of the card and the front is blatantly off center, yet the card is a gem mint 10. Just a thought 🤔

Jordan’s time is probably > the owner of his psa 10s. If I was the owner of the cards and sensed any inkling that Jordan would walk away if it wasn’t done his way (thick blue sharpie), I would cave to his request. Could be possible that he knew the thick sharpies weren’t optimal but made a game time decision. If both parties walk away upset… that’s a lose-lose… with the greatest basketball player annoyed at you. I’m giving benefit of the doubt that the owner knew what he was doing, but agreed to not annoy Jordan and capitalize on the opportunity.

Lol nobody thinks of Jordan and says “ah yes, MJ, better known as the ‘87 DPOY”. The $100 million is beyond absurd and seems to have only been included to try and stir up interest, maybe Collectibles Guru gets a cut if the cards sell? I’d rather have a copy without those autos on them, they just detract from the card. Maybe a silver pen that actually resembled his normal auto would add some value but this just seems like a ploy to make a quick buck.
