8月1日は、旧暦で「八朔（はっさく）」と呼ばれ、お世話になった人にお礼をする日とされています。宮川町の舞妓さんたちが、挨拶にまわりました。

初の八朔って妓たちも多数で・・・時代は引き継がれていくな～なんて感慨に耽ってます。^ ^;

とし恵美さんが目立っていたように感じました。花傘巡行でも前列でしたしね。宮川町は、地域的には狭く感じますが、舞妓さんや仕込みさんの人数が多いですね。

@@lovelovekyoto ふく朋さん・叶幸さんが引いてしまったので、とし恵美さんより先輩舞妓は・・・小はるさん・叶子さん・ふく珠さんになりましたね。とし恵美さんは2015/2/26見世出しなので4年半くらいですか・・・状況によってはそう遠くない内に進展あるかも？　因みに舞妓さんの数は現在、甲部30名・宮川町26名ですね！

the three interlocking circles are a symbol of Miyagawacho. Pontocho is a little bird that looks like a sandpiper. I forget the name of it. Kamishichiken is red circles around a white lantern. Gion is white circles around a red lantern. As far as i know anyway. I'm no expert.

'Hassaku' refers to August 1st of the lunar calendar, and in the flower district of Kyoto, the custom of giving thanks and gifts with daily thanks continues to this day.
