  • Todd Tuckey shows you a gorgeous 1980 original Bally Midway PACMAN cocktail table game! Pacman cocktail tables have a single coin chute...as you will see...many Pacman cocktail tables were converted to MS Pacman cocktail tables by the operator, as they made LOTS more money!

    Fantastic Video - I bought a Ms PacMan cocktail table game from TNT 2 years ago (great folks there at TNT). Anyway, last week my monitor went dark. Had to replace the Flyback, HO transistor and a fuse. Monitor came back but, every time I closed the cabinet a purple aura would appear on the screen. The aura would go away just by opening the cabinet and the aura was near the speaker (magnet). So I was guessing the degauss wasn't working. I did a Google seacrh for "Ms Pacman cocktail talble degauss" and this video came up. Todd solved my problem when I heard him say that the degauss only works briefly when the unit is first plugged in. I closed the cabinet and plugged it in and voila!.. problem solved. Thanks for taking the time to produce these videos, Todd!

    Thank for the video I picked one up for $100 the ms pac-man was not showing on the screen. Once I saw your video how to open it up I re-seated the rom board and now it works perfectly. Your not kidding inside this thing 40 year old technology I grew up playing with electronics everything in that box looks familiar to me. Degaussing a CRT haven't heard that in years used to work on computer monitors back in the 90's. We used to have fun putting a hard drive magnet under the bench of the new guys first day he would struggle with the colors for 30 minutes.

    Hello, we accidentally left the game on (plugged in) all night and it appears (my guess) is that the fan broke (it's caked up and nasty)- I checked all the fuses and they *look* ok. Did something else burn out? Thanks- Joe

    I just got a ms.pacman cocktail like the one in this video. So that being said sounds like mine was converted from a pacman. My question is should I keep it original and try to get it working or convert to new. Any advice would be appreciated

    • @tntamusements
      @tntamusements  5 лет назад

      Well, first see if the picture tube is badly burned in...as the maze may be etched into the phosphers. The machine cabinet value is not like it was...since the Multicades came out...but if it was really nice, it may be worth preserving. We have now sold over 150 Pacman and Ms Pacman cocktails over the years...

    I have a Ms Pac Man cocktail game with one coin slot. It is a two player with joy sticks on both sides of the table. Also it has a serial # 5731. Was this originally a Pac Man Game? Also every
    thing works fine and the cabinet is in great shape. What would the value be on this game?

    So.. help me out here.. is the number in the title of the episode the episode number or the Machine serial number? For example..is this serial number 570? Because, amazingly enough, I just bought a pac-man cocktail table for 40 bucks and the serial number is #593 .. is there any historical significance 5this outside of this machine being a very old game? Any comments, inputs and cash offers will be greatly appreciated! Thx CB

    How did they hack the pac man to change it to a ms pacman? i SAW THIS ON PAWNSTARS

    • @tntamusements
      @tntamusements  6 лет назад +3

      Its a simple board swap...Pawn Stars wanted me to fly out to Vegas two Septembers ago to bring our Pacman cocktail table for them to "buy"....I was offered nothing--no airfare, no hotel...NOTHING other than a chance to be on TV for 4 minutes--and to have them insult me with a low offer. I would have had to pay to fly the machine out also...and back again if I didn;t accept their "offer"! Some "reality" show!!! SO the one you saw, was some boob who wanted to be on "TV" bad enough to do this!

    • @filmaker256
      @filmaker256 6 лет назад

      Well, I see what you are saying; but it seemed as if when these people would do it; somehow they knew how to get into the machine . I thought it was padlocked ? I mean they couldn't have brought boards with them when these shady people did this. On Pawn Stars they seemed to suggest it was really intelligent computer geeks that could not only pick the lock but also knew about the hack AND be able to perform the hack ALL AT THE SAME TIME without anyone noticing! lol I'm just a little baffled at how they could know about that and the whole procedure, back in a time when the internet was only used by darpa , supposedly. Must have had really high SAT scores these geeks that could do this.

    No offense on the no fan, but they get hot in public locations (which I actually service them). Not good. Also, many of them are not built for fan-less operation. Sorry. Just need to install a LOW-SPEED or low CFM fan like the factory version that runs a reduced flow of air including dust and dirt it accumulates, with the flow pushing outwards. Trust me. Your games will love you doing this. 🙂

    • @tntamusements
      @tntamusements  Год назад

      Well, we found the fan brings in tons of filth into the game. When we convert to lcd and new power supply and pcb there is nothing really heating up anymore. If Original electronics are used most people turn game on for a couple hours a week at most

    So putting a COW MAGNET near a TELEVISION (which I did do once to a TV oops) probably isn't a good thing. :) (was my brothers television (sony flat) CRT etc thing was in my pocket. my those things are strong. (course so are the noise maker magnets he has too.) so it's in my pocket and it's a meter up from the pocket and the color goes weird. I bring it up oops. oh well where is that degauss :D Cow magnet will do nicely. Or one of the magnets in one of those flashlights that will give you a good grip eventually but never really charge. But Cow magnets usually you can't get much stronger than those :D oh pranksters don't do this at an arcade. at least when I did it it was an oops. God knows what happens when you bring a cow magnet into an arcade smh

    • @tntamusements
      @tntamusements  10 лет назад +1

      But you can fix that issue even without a degausser...but every TELEVISION and monitor has a automatic ring built in...the early Sega moniotors had a manual button inside the coin door you pushed!
