I had a 1HZ. I kind of miss it. Watching this video reminded me how slow it was, hahahaha. It does not have a speedometer, it has a calendar. I have the V8 D4D which is a true pleasure!
I’ve just traded it for a Prado, I needed more comfort and power for the open road. I really do miss it, so much of character. If I had the money I would keep both.
Everything on the vehicle is stock but I do think the previous owner gutted the cat or the smaller silencer. From underneath, it looks completely stock. Its not to loud but definitely noticeable.
@@ren4x401 Yeah the 76 series (at least the one whe have, also in SA). does not have a Catalytic converter. Only a massive exhaust box and a egr. Ours is still stock and yours definitely sounds different. We have a 2010 model.

That 1HZ sounds fairly nice. Has a nice throaty rumble. Discovered this engine very recently, when we rode on a 1HZ-powered Coaster.

But I heard that the v8 and s very sensitive to contaminated diesel not like the 1hz which can run from bad diesel with no problem
