See Casablanca. Trust me.
@marycherry if you stayed after the credits there would of been a music video
Maybe for valentines day you should try and watch grease
Mary please watch men in black 2 🙏
@@jeremystevens5312 yes 100%
I love Vincent D'Onofrio as the Bug in the Edgar suit. One of the most underrated villains ever.
Sugar; 🗣️ give me, sugar…
… in water … 🥛
@@Eddie53172 I love that scene. Favorite part of it is how after he drinks it, when he turns, you hear the sugar water slosh around inside of him.
Especially as Fisk/Kingpin in Daredevil
@@simianinc And Orson Wells in Tim Burton's Ed Wood.
Isn’t his performance as good as was Dustin Hoffman in Rain Man? 😊
Can we appreciate the acting range that Vincent D'Onofrio has? He played Edgar in this, Wilson Fisk in the Punisher/Daredevil, Private Pyle in Full Metal Jacket and a whole host of other characters over 35 years.
And Thor in Adventures in Babysitting.
TIL Edgar from MIB is Private Pyle. That is an impressive acting range.
Used to watch mib 1 on repeat as a kid. Always knew Vincent was an unsung hero in the acting world. Guy is amazing, in everything he does and as an adult I can now fully appreciate his crazy unique acting in this film In particular.
I mean imagine being the first dude trying to act out how a massive alien cockroach would pilot and behave cramped inside of a small, decaying human body.
Your reactions to the Mr. Black and Mr. White lines were perfection. Very few people notice that. This movie is a gem with very worthy sequels. Will & Tommy's chemistry made MIB what it is.
Will smith’s face was just so funny 😂😂😂
@@MaryCherryOfficial he always had the best facial expressions.
@@MaryCherryOfficial do you know Tommy Lee Jones? He was Agent K. He’s been in alot of movies too
@@nsasupporter7557 I'm sure she at least recognized him from Captain America. Even though he wasn't on screen long, his voice is pretty dang recognizable IMO.
@@nsasupporter7557 I love Tommy Lee Jones and Harrison Ford in The Fugitive.
"Why is he wearing orange?"
Because the 90s. The better question is why doesn't it have squiggly zig-zag patterns and Day-Glo green zippers?
These two made for a great unexpected duo. Played so well off each other.
(If you do happen to watch the others, you'll be blown away by Josh Brolin in the third movie.)
I can watch MIB 3 over and over and over again.
@drolgh8 By far the best of the series.
MIB 2 is good, not as good as the first imo, but MIB 3 is an absolute must watch of a movie. The series as a whole is a great watch so if you want to you will enjoy yourself for sure.
Hard disagree on both.
@drolgh8 MIB 3 was the last semi decent movie that Will Smith did
Mary was dressed more for MiB 2.
Don’t forget about MIB 4
For all its faults, MiB II had one truly redeeming feature: Rosario Dawson 😍
“People are dumb, panicky, dangerous animals and you know it.” Truer words have never been spoken.
One of my favourite and oft-used quotes, especially since 2020 :P
I use this often.
Absolutely, especially true, with about 65% of the young people coming up (written in CODE).
weeeeell, remove religion and ideologies and a lot of that is fixed
@@Belnick6666 not really, I find my faith a comfort
FUN FACT: This movie was directed by Barry Sonnenfeld, director of "The Addams Family" and "Addams Family Values" and the very tall man is played by Carel Struycken, the same actor who played Lurch.
"To prevent war, the Galaxy is on Orion's butthole." One of the greatest quotes in cinematic history.
Out of context quote: "I would literally just do it on the floor. I would lie down on my stomach, press the paper to the ground, and do it on the floor." XD
It always blows my mind that Edgar is played by Vincent D'Onofrio(who I mainly know from Daredevil as Kingpin). Every role I know him for he is totally unrecognizable from the others. I've seen Full Metal Jacket a bunch of times and I literally just found out that he was Private Pyle while I was looking up how to spell his name.
Wow, I never knew it was him. And I never would have guessed.
You should see The Cell. That film made me a D'Onofrio fan for life. Gods, his performance gave me more chills than his Kingpin.
He is mainly known from Full Metal Jacket, which is his best performance
That just shows you're not very observant. You can recognize him perfectly fine in any role.
@@thefinestgames I'm observing that you are insufferable right now.
I flew coach next to that tall alien (also Lurch from Addams family) on a flight to LA. He sat in the middle seat, but at least it was the extra leg room row. He was reading a book on veterinary care while eating a comically small package of nuts+berries with his gigantic hands. I knew who he was but I didn't bring it up until we touched down in LA. He told me he was in Rhode Island for a horror convention, followed up with "But I'm not really into those sorts of things". After meeting him I got the idea that I would see celebrities everywhere I went in LA. To my dissapointment, LA does not have celebrities everywhere you go.
Any time I meet someone in LA who says they are an actor, I ask: "Really? So where do you wait tables?" Unless they look pretty mean.
@@i.marchand4655 They're probably "resting" between "projects"!
Wasn't he also Lwaxana's valet on TNG?
You'll be less than shocked to learn this won the 1998 Oscar for Best Makeup and Hairstyling. Vincent D'Onofrio is unreal in this
The guy playing an alien in human body was perfect.
Tommy Lee Jones is a long time cowboy actor. He also owns a ranch about an hour away from my land. People in town treat him like anyone else, which is probably one of the reasons he chose to live here, in Texas, rather than Kalifornia.
The coroner's actress Linda is in Dogma. I saw a comment here already reccomending that film and i concur. Alan Rickman plays a major role in that. Has the same comedic tone that he had in Galaxy Quest. 😂😂
Also, for dramatic value, Ben Affleck and Matt Damon are in it as well.
Yes, Galaxy Quest, wanted to drop that one too. Another funny alien movie. With Tim Allen, Sigourney Weaver, Alan Rickman and again Tony Shalhoub.
Also, "Mars Attacks!" Just hilarious. And "The World's End" a more British comedy by Edgar Wright. Both with Pierce Brosnan.
beetle bob It's a shame "Dogma" isn't streaming anywhere officially and on top of that the DVD is out of print.
@@justindenney-hall5875it’s on RUclips, Kevin Smith won’t put it on anything because that would support Harv*y W*instein 🥵
Dogma was a comedy gem
seconded!
@@thomasersosi4595
GQ is one of my comfort movies. I put it on again last night, before bed. 😂
There are 2 sequels. MIB 3 is really good and has a lot of heart. All three movies are definitely worth a watch.
Alien: “The galaxy is on Orion’s b… b… “
Mary: “Butthole? Is it butthole?”
I laughed probably harder than I should have at that.
Hahaha I’m glad
what an absolute flex on Buttplug fashion
The original comic wasn't Marvel in the beginning but was eventually acquired. In the comic they also dealt with the paranormal like demons and magic and all that fun stuff.
Wasn't there also a crossover with the Ghostbusters comics at one point, or was that just the board game?
@@arcticbanana66 I’m actually not sure on that, but I love that idea
I don't think you need to worry about the quality of MIB2 and 3. This is one of the few franchises where all 3 movies are brilliant.
Not 2. Not even 1. 1 is okay. It peaks out at the concept.
Imagine what you will know tomorrow “ I love that line and K delivers perfectly
I was born the day the movie was released in theaters!
I love the puppies Shake
Got to add my bit to this. Vincent is just outstanding as the bug. An absolute genius.
Tommy Lee Jones is also in Volcano with Anne Heche RIP, that is a movie that you got to put on your list.
23:27 the dog owes my friend money 😂😂😂😂😂😂. Greatness
Made me blush saying you've always liked the name James 😂. Mary is a nice name too! This channel is fun. You've got unique style as well. Here for it
The fact MiB caused Mary to nearly suffocate from laughter makes me happy.
I was 10 years old when this movie was in the cinema - I saw it three times and absolutely loved it. Still works for me to this day :)
Tommy Lee Jones is great in The Fugitive (with Harrison Ford) and its follow-on, US Marshals (with Wesley Snipes). He also plays a villain in Under Siege.
MIB 2 is also a very fun movie. Glad you took the time to react to this. Good fun. Thanks.
No problem!
The reason for Will's orange track pants is a simple one: The 90s. We loved them Adidas track suits in the late 90s/early 2000s.
I can’t remember if you’ve done The Fugitive yet, but Tommy Lee Jones was great in that, with Harrison Ford. Men in Black 2 is really good too.
All the practical effects in this masterpiece of a movie.
Yeassssssss!! 🎉😂❤❤❤ I just watched like 3 separate reactions on M!B last night can’t wait for one of my Fav reactors to give it a look !! Let’s goooo Mary-😂👌🏾💯💯
The other MIBs are fun. Dogma is quirky brilliant, as others have suggested. And the movie Blade from a couple decades ago is very fun too, also suggested in this thread.
It's cool you are finally watching this. This is a great trilogy.
In 1976 I sang on the first season of the Gong Show, and I lost by 1 point to Oingo Boingo, which was Danny Elfmans band at the time.
Your laughter when he said this is Dr White I love your laughter so colourful
Your reactions to the Black and White name jokes are great!
Mary looking at the cat "Oh puppy!" 🙀😂👾
Be great to see you watch the 2nd film! My favourite out of all the Men in Black films. Even though my fave villain is actually in the 3rd film.
As a movie and sci-fi lover I easily accept the film premise that aliens walk among us. But as a New Yorker, it drives me crazy that Smith runs around Grand Central and then is at Central Park across from the Guggenheim museum, which is about 40 blocks away. But I know, it’s just a movie.
Well they DID establish that he is a good runner, so... 😋
@@Johnny_Socko such a good runner that in fact, you could say he was, out of this world.
Sorry, couldn’t resist 😆
Genuinely, MIB II, III, and MIB: International are all absolutely worth watching. Yes, in International, you don't have any of the original cast, but what you _do_ get is Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson, and it is honestly one of my family's favorite entries in the franchise, and you could watch that one very easily without going through II and III first.
Mary, you should watch "Casablanca" (1942).
didnt even notice the Mr Black and Mr White reaction before. so subtle but soo funny
?
#2 and #3 are must-watch, imo. They have their highs and lows, but still great additions.
I think I was like nine years old but I remember seeing this movie in theaters 😂💯 it was quite an experience lol
Another good one with Jones is Space Cowboys. Worth a watch.
Yeah, Space Cowboys has Clint Eastwood also. I could be wrong, but Clint might direct it also.
That cast is stellar.
the cartoon version of this show was good for early 90's show
I liked the second and third followup MIB movies. Entertaining and funny, and especially #3 where a young Agent K is hilariously played by Josh Brolin.
SUGARRRRRR lmfao I used to be so scared of him…and yet quoted him and did an impression of him and his wife all the time.
This movie brings me back to 1st grade
When J is first brought to MIB HQ, they display a bunch of faces of aliens on the large screen, you commented 'Sylvester Stallone's an alien?', Steven Spielberg's face was in the top left corner above Stallone.
Please watch all 4
Unfortunately Linda Fiorentino (Dr. Laurel/Agent L) doesn’t return in the sequel. I have been a couple rumors one, but they were never fully confirmed. Also just found out that she has not been in anything since 2009.
12:07 the best line ever. Greatness
The reason Edgar was walking so weird is because the body was dead. He was fighting through rigor mortis. It’s also why he looked worse every time. He was decaying more and more.
@5:03 “He got the moves like Jagger.” Just wait until she reacts to MIB3. 😁
I hope you do 2 and 3 aswell. The 3rd one is imo the best one.
2 and 3 are definitely worth watching, you'll like them.
Tommy Lee Jones is in many action packed movies... he was Two Face in "Batman Forever", he's the main star in "Volcano", he was in one of the Steven Sagal films as the main villain (forgot which one), he's in "The Fugitive"....
This reminds me of when driving around and The MIB song was playing every hour on the hour on TOP 40 radio and EVERYONE loved it
Yes, please watch MIB2 *and* 3!
The bug man wearing the Eggar suit was Pyle in Full Metal Jacket, Thor in Adventures in Babysitting, Kingpin on Daredevil, Vic in Jurassic World, and starred on Law & Order: Criminal Intent for 10 years.
The boss was played by Rip Torn, whom I wonder if he ever appeared with Slim Pickens.
If you loved Tony Shalhoub (pronounced shall LUBE) on Monk and in this, you should see him in Galaxy Quest starring Sigourney Weaver, Alan Rickman, and Tim Allen.
5:58 Do you know who that man is Mary? No?
That's our big boy 'KINGPIN' 😎🦲
One of those movies I grew up with and always shocks me when I find people that have never seen it
Oh man I totally forgot how great this movie was the first time I saw it ……and seeing someone laugh at all the jokes was awesome lol.
Not to mention the “ Orion’s butthole “ quip lol. Lmfao !
Good looking out Mary Cherry !
I’m so Glad Mary watched this Movie (It’s so hilarious) (Also WIB “women in black” is clever)
At 17:11, Beatrice: "Egurr"
Mary: "Edgah. Just say Edgah."
Mary, don't ever change. 😂😂😂
That bug (Edgar) is DareDevul (Kingpin) and Mechanic Dawson (Adventures in Babysitting) actor Vincent D'Onofrio
"He dresses so funny" Well, he dressed like we all did in the 90s. LOL
Use to love this movie as a kid. And the music video and song that came out for this movie too😂 good memories as a kid
'Men In Black' premiered at a theater near you 27 years ago today, July 2, 1997
Every time I watch Mary watch one of these movies I keep thinking "you ain't seen nothin' yet!" 😆
I love how well Tommy Lee Jones speaks Spanish. He has excellent pronunciation and cadence.
1:52 I recently started watching Monk. It's such a good show.
Its been a long time since I saw the original. So glad to see a new generation enjoying it!
18:20 so glad I'm not the only one that does this. 😅 I call my cat a puppy all the time.
I loved this movie growing up!
"Get your BIG BUTT back in the house!!"
"Whys he wearing orange?"
The 90s were... a strange time for fashion. XP
Love your reaction and Tommy Lee Jones also played Two Face in Batman Forever which I also loved your reaction too. Can't wait to see your reactions to Men In Black 2 and 3
I know im late as hell, but I love your comments about wills outfits. Back in the 90's in the US, tracksuits was the fit.
Welcome to the werid and funny movie, it bring me back my childhood memories and I enjoy watching this movie. Thanks for your reaction on MIB 😊🙌
6:10 the way Edgar dies still makes me shiver.
Bruh got skinned alive.....
18:45 » i wonder if it took a single take to that cut or how many times did they actually tried 🤣🤣
Friday is a cop in the 1960s TV Serial 'Dragnet'.
For the record: that small gun according to MiB lore can be configured to not have that recoil but they allways give it to rookies unconfigured as a joke as well a nudge to learn read instruction manuals and configure their weapons
The third one is SPECTACULAR
James Edwards talked about Captain America, funny thing is agent K (Tommy Lee Jones) became Captain America his Colonel in the first Avenger movie in 2011.
How the turntables.😆
Why is he wearing orange? (the 90's)
A fun theory is that in Lilo n Stitch, one of the aliens recognizes an Elvis song which supports what K said earlier about Elvis just going back home because he was an Alien.
The villain was almost played by Bruce Campbell. Missed opportunity
Tommy Lee Jones also played the general in "Captain America: The First Avenger".
"He's great for stamina "
That's what she said lol
I actually love the joke about the lemonade and the funny faces they make when drinking it...because it's sour as she had no sugar left to put in it. I know the joke didn't make the youtube cut but that was one of my favorites.
This is one of my favorite movies! I've got a lot to say about it, so I'm sorry in advance for the mega-comment. I'm gonna do bullet points because timestamps would mean too much pausing.
-Tony Shalhoub's surname is, as I've understood it, pronounced shall-oob. I also adored Monk when I was younger, it was one of the first murder mystery shows I got into and watched with my mom.
-When I first watched this movie, I thought the alien's guts were blue Jell-O and I wanted to eat it XD
-I have to agree, while Will Smith has fallen from grace a fair bit, most of the films he's been in are charming as all get-out. MIB and Shark Tale have been my favorites for over and almost twenty years, respectively.
-I never felt bad for the farmer dude getting skinned.
-Jeebs' head growing back like that was very impressive SFX for 1997.
-I've always wanted one of those egg chairs. Not comfy if you sit like a human, but perfect for a gremlin XD
-This is the first instance where Edwards (J) shows that there are several types of intelligence. While scraping the table across the floor was obnoxious, the other candidates, who were all trained soldiers, didn't even think about using it. Common sense and resourcefulness are forms of intelligence.
-Another thing here. J thought before he shot. He observed the situation, thought things through, and neutralized the real threat. The soldiers just went in guns a-blazin' and shot at everything that didn't look human. J only took a single shot.
-I absolutely adore the relationship between J and K. Just saying.
-J's style was typical late-90's street fashion, believe it or not. Ngl, it looked really comfy.
-In regards to the kitty. Same.
-Listen. When you get to the deep south (Yes, I know this is Manhattan/New York, but the lady's obviously from down south), our consonants start running together. Two-syllable words become single-syllable words. Fire becomes fahr and pin and pen sound exactly the same.
-"I feel like I could handle something like that." Might wanna rethink that, eh?
-This is why we wear seatbelts.
Now you have to see the sequel. I think the second is worth a watch. MIB 3 was kinda meh to me, but that's just me. A lot of people I know love it.
The big man who got killed in the restaurant played Lurch in The Addams Family movies. You had the best reaction to this movie. Please watch the sequels.
it's funny how you said "I'd be happy to be in a universe in a marble" and we all just some kid's toy at the end lol
I liked MIB II it was fun and awakened something in me as a kid lol
Fun fact: The actress playing the mom giving birth to the alien squid played the mom in Freaks and Geeks
Awesome reaction. Men in Black II is ok, but you really have to watch Men in Black III, i think you'd get a kick out of J and K's chemistry 🤣
