Another great video graham. Question for you. How do you know when a brew is ready to keg? I have a stout fermenting for 6 days now and it's at final gravity already. Should i let it sit in primary for a few more weeks or get it in the keg and cold crash it now? I'm eager to get a sup but I don't want to ruin a 5 gallon batch by being impatient. Cheers for the advice!...again
If it has hit final gravity already it’s more than likely finished wait 24 hours check the readings again if it’s the same rock on and cold crash . Let me no how it turns out cheers 🍻 happy brewing
@MrDarrenbell09 cold crash for 2/3 days to clear up nice then keg , force carbonate and serve if you can’t wait min 10 days but remember if you leave it for few weeks it will be better but in saying that I am very impatient but usually wait till the 3 week mark and serve . What did you brew ?
@@grahamlawlorshomebrewrevie8227 I have an apple cider on tap now. The stout is a partial mash, LME, 13% flaked barley, 10% roasted barley. EKG hops for 60 minutes. I'm hoping I had enough flaked barley for a thick creamy head.
Alright mate I used America west cost Ale yeast . I have a grain to glass video of this brew later today . Just need to do a tasting looking forward to it cheers 🍻
I wish mate I am in the market doe for the new brew monk 70ltr . Going to get one so I can make 70 ltrs and split into 3 batches and hop different and use different yeasts on each so can get 3 brews out of one brew day . Brewing another stout today . Cheers mate 🍻
Light struck 😂 not in 10 minutes of transferring 😂😂. Light struck is when the brew is exposed to direct sunlight for a period and can get off flavors not in a Kitchen in the shade . Cheers 🍻
Its literally in the sun. I can see it in the video. Beer in direct sun can get light struck within a minute. I’m just saying. Its a pressure transfer, no reason not to keep the fermenter on the ground out of the sun
Nice work, pal. I'm looking at trying the exact same thing in a few week's time.
Cheers pal it’s very handy to do 🍻

@@grahamlawlorshomebrewrevie8227 That's what I like to hear lol. How long should I leave it to cold crash before force carbonating and serving?
