man i hope these become a weekly thing. Ive always wanted doug to do a podcast and ive loved kennan since he started appearing onthe channel so this is a dream come ture lmao. also the guests have been amazing, love seeing roncar on here
@13:30 A detuned LS7 engine was an option in the Vertical Hummingbird, which is a kit helicopter version of the Sikorsky S-52. Also, Porsche offered an aviation version of the 356 flat four which was used on the Gryodyne "Rotocycle" helicopter and the early QH-50 DASH antisubmarine drone helicopters, although in later versions the flat four was replaced with a Boeing turboprop.
Listen i've never watched or listened to any podcast or daily vlog it's really not my thing, I watch only a few clips from Linus Wan Show, or MKBHD podcast in general. But this.... this livestream is mental... it's so freaking insanely good I love you guys.
I visited Cars & Bids for the first time during this episode, because I was curious to see what it was like. Thought I wasn't going to spend much time there, but I got trapped in a rabbit hole and spent the whole episode seeing listing after listing 😅. You should do this more often!
Really enjoyed watching this. I wish they would talk a little more about the live auctions as they are ending. Like when a car doesn't hit reserve, what they think a good price should be, or if a car was well bought or well sold
C&B Live Stream - "Having the same conversations about pretty much the same cars, just with different people". Will need to expand the formula after a few episodes, or tailor the cars being sold with the guest? Muscle car Mondays? Tuner Tuesdays? Stock Saturdays? Thirsty Thursdays (under 12mpg)?
I know it may seem obvious to some of us but i feel the caveat of local roads is often forgotten. I wanted an s2000 desperately for over a decade and almost nobody really talked about how boring they are if you arent on track. Its absolutely imperative to be in a scenario where you can be at the top of the rev range cranking it around corners to enjoy. Whereas my previous sti and my current mustang are significantly more fun to operate in everyday life, while being just as fun driving in a spirited manner.
Doug you need to check out wagon master in Texas. They update wagoneers and make them fuel injected. Full updates making it a 100k car. That's what you need.
Made respect for ken. Throttle precision makes a huge difference in the sound of a car. Like a fine tune instrument. At least when i drive a car its sounds like a instrument 😎🤷♂️
I had a 105 GXL 1HZ Turbo Automatic, which meant live axle front end unlike the 100 series... It was an absolute unicorn. But those 100 Series factory turbo for absolutely insane money. No torsion bar front end. I wish I'd never made it go...a 1HZ (the non turbo) in not a base model GXL and auto was a 5k option AUD$ in 1998. They sold 2 in Tasmania, and probably 3 more on the mainland. All to Abalone Divers, after Safari introduced a Turbo with a Warranty...although I did need to use a crowbar to pull out a panel dent once we realised the passenger door wouldn't open....I used the sunroof several times to throw the (already attached) snatch strap, and you'll realise the benefit of a tailgate Cruiser, (it didn't even leak) when you're stuck up to the door handles...it's handy to be able to pop the top half to keep the water out of the car...😂
I have seen two Wagoneers, it's impressive. Considering the XJ was the first Jeep in Australia along with the Wrangler (with a 3 speed Auto) but I loved my XJ...which was 4 speed Auto, with 4.0L not much weight. It was the best thing ever on the beach...(also the first 4WD (I remember reading 4WD Buyer's guide from 1997) that had dual Airbags... I had the last of the "original XJ" (for Australia) a 97/98 model in 2004, so It was pretty cool...loved the old school plastic "school desk" woodgrain. Used to shove my uni lab coat into the air intake because Jeep parts in Australia are so expensive...so had the lift and 31s, and an angle grinder to the wheen arches. Worst air intake placement ever...but nobody else rolled up outside Chemistry covered in half in mud... but I love that 242 (4.0L motor). But that made me realise how much Automatics win offroad...especially on sand and Land Rover is the only real 4WD brand I haven't had...it's such a weird mix of Japanese and European, with American vehicles...actually Australia has the largest selection of vehicles per capita anywhere in the world...
Lol. Rewatching this playlist because its sort of evergreen: That cut out of footage to just technically pretend like it isn't the charger thats being talked about - not even mad. We all know. 😉 45:34 More telling that FCA might have an issue of this being mentioned. Like somehow someone doesn't know...
This can be a great show. Two, bright, interesting dudes, with loads of insights. Please try to do something about the acoustics if you can. Maybe some panels to reduce the echo, and get some cool art up on that cement wall or something. Looks like you’re having a car show in an apocalypse bunker at the end of days.
@@DougDeMuro Rock on dude. It’s gonna be great. To be fair though, the set, sound and lighting are already way better than 99 percent of podcasts out there.
I think the evo 9 is one of those cars that is is going to get crazy money soon. The market is already showing signs. The evo 6 is nice but it seems the 9 is like the r34 of the gtr world and the 6 is the r33. The 6.5 tme is the 400r of the evo world but unlimatly the 9s are most desired..
I think this is the second or third one of these shows, if it’s not clear to Doug by now that he needs to start a podcast then someone needs to slap him in the face with a sign that says start a podcast. I think if he started one it would take off right away
Nerd fact. The S2000 had the most powerful naturally aspirated engine with kw/L or horsepower to engine size....I think they were 176kW...we will just ignore the torque... but the Impreza was 168kW from a 2.5 Turbo, back in the early 2000s, and 6.5 to 100km/h was fast....haha. The WRX was the car to own, and before they bought a law regarding "grey imports" into Australia, there were Supras everywhere back when I first got my licence...now it is sad what I used to see around and I got my license 21 years ago...
Why as a gen z person would I need a podcast to tell me what I already know? Surprise! We always wanted manual cars, we were too long to buy them at the time..
Exactly, the same can be said for 15 minute cities. I hate using they term “they’ll because it’s nebulous. But “they” want to control as many aspects of your life as possible. Freedom of movement is part of it.
I like Doug but every conversation always goes back to the Carrera GT, the Ford GT, and soon enough the Countach… We get it Doug. Enough with the flexing…
@@John_HooverHe often related things to Countaches and Carrera Gt's long before he owned them. Are you meant to stop talking about the dream car when you finally get it?
Guys these livestreams are SUPER entertaining!!! Please keep them going. Best regards from Brasilia, Brazil.
So, Doug acquired a nuclear bunker when he bought the Countach?
Kennan freakin rules. Such a good listener.
Why are you here then?@@RobertCraft-re5sf
doug was so uncomfortable with his shorts last time now this foo wears pants the SAME EXACT color as his legs hahahah
doug the type of guy to wear pants the same color as his legs

Thank you doug!!
Nice show, i just realized, if you race Kennan in your Countach, you could do a Kennanball Run!

Enjoyed the format. I've been waiting for a podcast style show from Doug for a minute.

"Doug, Off the Leash" would be hilarious. Really hear what he thinks about last second bidders.

Really enjoyed watching this. I wish they would talk a little more about the live auctions as they are ending. Like when a car doesn't hit reserve, what they think a good price should be, or if a car was well bought or well sold

Hello Doug. Can you make a video about VW CORRADO VR6?
For crazy price differences between car models, base Porsche 968's are $20,000. The Porsche 968 Turbos S is $500,000-$700,000. 28:30
There are left hand drive evo VI, they sold all the iterations of the Evo in continental Europe.
Ron is cool! When is Lieberman coming on the show????
What’s w/ the lighting? Doug’s and Kennan’s hair color looks red. I’m really glad Doug took the time to comb that back of his head.

Not a good sounding room. Pretty awful echo.
They need to put up some acoustic panels to dampen it.
